I use to play this game all day when I was young, I forgot about it and now remeber it, very good game
Opens Browser Regularly & MTX Everywhere
App keeps opening the web browser to access random websites before opening the store during ad views. Ads they partner with will sometimes automatically do this, even if the phone is not touched. Shoves 5-10 ads in your face every launch which several dozen MTX in the shop among the worst value I've ever seen in a MTX store (regularly 6.99 for a minor power boost) Previous "season reward" was also mislabeled and gave the wrong type of stat boost as well.
Fun game, bad matchmaking
Games fun but have started to run into the same people 3,4 fights in a row and they’ve just got way more powerful troops it’s getting a little tedious but at least there’s no ads :)
Honest review
So I first discovered this game years ago and recently found it again and decided to download it cause it was fun. It’s a fun game, different units, art is great, Strat is fun, but it’s really heavy on paying for gems and such, not really good for ftp players. Also, it seems the player base is gone because I looked at a ton of clans and tall their members have been inactive for 1 to 4 years. Which isn’t good, it’s really a shame, but if they make it more FTP and somehow get a big community again then it could eventually get fun again.
Annoyed by overly aggressive IAP “deals” that ruin gameplay features as well as buggy ads
Never been so annoyed before by a feature so as to score this low. The game has an “auto” play feature that allows you to automatically match and fight opponents x number of times per day. Doing so allows you to accumulate some basic rewards for the wins you get. Sounds great. The problem: the game is so aggressive with (in game) ads that every few rounds, you are fed an advertised deal that FORCES you to manually exit. This completely undoes the entire purpose of the game “auto” feature. You expect it to play 100 rounds for you but when you check on it, it only went 2 rounds and then the ad forced it to pause. The ads themselves are the most obnoxious kind as well. I’m talking about those ones that are multi component and force you to tap exit, swipe some banner out of the way and such to move to the next section. They are generally also the longest ones out of most games. Worst is that the final exit buttons are often require either hidden triggers or the x hitbox is so small that you literally spend 5 minutes trying to hit the button and if you are even a micron off, the ad opens up a browser/webpage/app store display. Otherwise, the actual core gameplay is quite fun, somewhat similar to a grander scale Battle Royal from supercell. Would be cool if there were more unique modes like where each person in a guild contributes their best few units for a multi round dungeon showdown, 2v2, 1v1v1, etc,
My type of game
If you like strategy games this is a game for you or if you like to lets say there is a enemy team that is just to strong for you but what if you use characters with abilities that can affect them so that they cannot use move or slow them down or cause them to fear with that is an ability in this game and they will run away causing me to have the upper hand in the battle and then my archers will wipe them out or just put a bunch of shield characters in the front with the archers in the back and let the other team tired themselves out trying to defeat the shield characters while my archers or many characters that shoot projectiles and a fear causing effect character in the front in front of the shield characters with my other status ailments characters in the front on the sides with ranged characters in the back picking them off while they are affected by status ailments and while they try to take down many of my shield characters this is a great game for people who like strategy

Cool game. Locked behind money annoyances. You simply can’t progress without spending real money. No thanks.
Used to be a better game
I’ve been playing this game almost since it was made and the original developers, before they sold it to godspeed, had everything pretty locked down and perfect. Godspeed took over and started implementing all these unnecessary changes and additions and it’s definitely not as fun to play anymore. Still a fun game and one of the only games like it though.

Need of fixes
For starters, my season pass that I had purchased no longer is functional so that’s the thing I hope that is resolved and part of the reason why I’m doing this review the other is that I am in a guild and I have lots of shorts that are on nonfunctional to myself and I would like to give them to my brother, but I am heavily limited in the aspect of me being able to give him shards and vice versa for him, which feels very constraining and needs to be changed. I hope that these issues are addressed. Otherwise, the game is fun.

Game is fun honestly alot of fun. But once I unlocked pvp the dumb tutorial forces you to click it then make you click your army in the bottom left corner. Then the game freezes I’ve uninstalled and reinstall and same thing happens so the game is just unplayable once you unlock pvp? I don’t even want to play pvp but since they force you too and the game is bugged I can’t progress pass it

Vicious pay to win like everything else. As long as you pay 10$ for the Witcher in the beginning of the game you don’t need another cards. No point in really trying to progress.

Обновы регулярные, мета долго не стоит. Будучи достаточно стратегически подкованным, можно легко сносить противников на порядок прокаченнее тебя. Играю уже давно, мой рейтинг стабильно плавает в районе 5к, вхожу в топ 600-700 игроков это примерно 4% активных игроков. Ни разу не донатил и не собираюсь! Решает ли донат? Абсолютно нет, до одной поры. Если ты хочешь стать топ 1 ты обязан купить сезонный пропуск, ведь без него тебе не нафармить за сезон достаточно расходных рун (руны в этой игре это временные улучшения юнитов, эти руны пропадают с юнитов каждый новый сезон, сезон длиться месяц, в первую неделю падают только плохие руны, во вторую лучше, в третью ещё лучше, в четвертую топовые) я читал другие коменты и не согласен с ними, при лимите армии в 9 слотов, я легко держался на максимальном уровне, на тот момент он составлял аж 16 очков юнитов. Сейчас максимальный кап 18. В топ 10 находятся донатеры, но помимо доната они вложили свой гениальный айкью, собрав действительно гениальные и сложно победимые сборки. Тем не менее, я могу легко победить каждого из них с моей нынешней сборкой (играю отталкиваясь от меты, то есть моя сборка это анти-мета) но чтобы занять их позиции мне нужно победить сотни остальных игроков чьи армии очень разнятся, и достаточноуниверсальную сборку я создать пока что не могу, да и нет цели, сейчас фармлю рейды боссов с кланом ради артефактов. Высказал всё что думаю, делайте выводы.
Tutorial
The tutorial is kind of ridiculous for multiple reasons but I’ll give just 3. For one it makes me take out my strongest archer unit rather than one that’s level one and I can’t change it. Reason 2, after the 3rd battle I had a pretty good idea of everything and yet it’s still dragging on and it’s making kind of upset I can’t play the game I downloaded and there’s no option to exit tutorial. Reason 3 I feel like there’s no reason to give such tight restrictions in a tutorial as in I can’t add more units to fill to 8 before I got the rare unit and it boggles my brain that isn’t allowed when I have plenty enough gold. Now I’ll give it maybe 2-3 more battles and if it continues I’m just going to quit, I’m really being walked through it like a child and I can’t skip any of it, it’s really frustrating actually.
Walls unit
The wall unit is a great idea but I think it is underwhelmingly bad due to friendly units running in to it and not beable to run around it. The wall unit basically acts as a magnet to friendlys making it a easy loose game when using it. The second part is when the opponent is using it instead of walking to the side of the wall where the enemy units are units want to go through the wall then walk to the side causing it to be an easily loose game. Unit mechanics are good, but at the same time the wall unit makes them react weirdly on the field. Will it be fixed or is it intended.

Game was great until I got to the point where it was almost impossible to win anything. No matter what I did, I lost. Every..single..time.
Actually decent
Unlike most mobile games that give you sad stale content recycled for micro transactions this one hits the spot. You can have a good time without any payments, though paying does speed your power curve up your quickly placed into higher ranks and so you’ll never find yourself battling players that spend loads of money. The story mode and boss raids are really fun if you like strategic games and the pvp is good too
Balancer le matchmaking ?
Le jeu en tant que tel est bien. Il est fun a jouer, il a de bonnes mecaniques mais malheureusement c’est un autre jeu qu’il faut payer pour gagner .. Je suis rang 5 et je tombe contre des joueurs rang 9 … Ils ont des unités que je n’aies pas encore et qui sont beaucoup plus fortes que les miennes, alors je perds presque tou mes combats.. À chaque défaite on perds des points de rang alors chaque defaite que je subits m’empêche d’avancer et de devenir plus puissant … mais comme je tombe que contre des joueur beaucoup plus fort que moi, aucun moyen d’avancer autre que dépenser ma paye de la semaine …. Si vous dites que vous voulez que CHAQUE joueurs puissent progresser, je vous suggère fortement de balancer votre matchmaking..

Forces you to see an "ad" for their in game purchases EVERY TIME you open the app. It's very annoying. Also, "progression" is mostly based on watching ads to get gacha-shards to upgrade units.

Game is okay it’s addictive at times however it’s pay to win. Yes position of ur units matters etc however you go a load of trophies up and the game decides to put u up against something u can’t simply win and u drop back down 200 again… pay to win

Love the game I give it 4 stars. I would give it 5 if there was a few quality of life features added. Main thing we would love would be if we could see how much overall damage the units did so we could see which units to take out or add in. Also more information on the units and how the damage works in the description. Simple QoL changes would make us so happy and make the game even better. Overall great job. hope to see some added features!

Changed my rating from 5 to 2. Making Artifact Shards purchasable sadly shifted this game into pay-to-win territory. I’ve been playing this game for a few years. Recently, every few months they increase gem prices and/or reduce gem rewards. Super disappointed because this was my all-time favourite mobile app, hands down. My Old Review: This game is insanely fun, so well executed, and perfectly challenging. These are dev gods. Their app is so unbelievably robust. Though the game is fairly hefty and can warm up your phone. My garbage phone crashes often.

The games fun up until you hit 1600 trophies where it no longer allows you to rank up unless you’ve rinsed micro transactions for army upgrades, fun until then.

The game starts out super easy and rewarding. As you climb the levels however, if you want to maintain a win ratio above 50%, you MUST buy chests. Additionally, as you lose battles (from not buying chests/gems), you will see your overall levelling progress DECREASE. The rate at which you will want to battle will outpace your need to upgrade units so losses will begin to pile up and you will get frustrated into joining the P2W crowd. The programmers have worked hard to make sure the game is balanced this way to get you constantly reaching for your wallet. A casino would be a better investment and more fun.
Royal shipment😒
Love this game but every time I get a royal shipment it says watch an ad but the problem is the ad never shows and just ends up saying processing when u come off it’s very frustrating. If your game can show pop ads then It should be able to show a ad for a reward😒😒

this game was pretty fun at the start but people started trampling me. I was sh there was levels. what I mean to say is for example if you have just started go into this starter area where all the online starters are. another idea is to play offline and get loot from there.

The game caps out pretty fast and ultimately becomes a pay-to-win game. Around 1400-1500 trophies you start to fight the people who have paid a lot of money and they’re impossible to beat. I paid $2 on a starter (lure you in) pack and that’s it. Unless you have deep pockets there is no real balance on whom you fight. The more $ you have the more W’s you’ll get. You can also only have 3 chests at a time and if they’re all 8 hour ones... Well it’s a long gap for improvement! Lastly, there isn’t much to do in the game - Truly. Graphics are neat, the sound effects, and gameplay. Just not a whole lot going on other than constant (not real-time) PVP idle battles and that’s that. 2/5.
