I have two iPads, same Apple Id, both have the game connected, but they are two separate profiles, I am forced to start fresh on the new one.
Long delicious GRIND
This game is fun for all ages. However, the pay to win model is in full effect here. You cannot buy advanced hero’s. All you can do is buy increased chances to win them. (Gambling). If you play for free, your chances will continue to be miserable. I’m level 49 and I have 3 legendary level hero’s. Still fun, but don’t expect to compete with those loose credit card people. You will not even be playing the same game.
Such a good game
Such a good game that is made to be enjoyed for a long time. There are so many different ways to spend your time in this game, and so many different things to focus on, you won’t get bored. I’m not a huge rpg player, and I struggle with understanding how to really utilize some of the artifacts to strengthen heroes, but they there is a wiki and discord to help rookies like myself. If you are looking for an ad free game that is a lot of fun, this is it.
Misleading ads for terrible barely-a-game trash
After downloading and trying this game, I gave it a 2-star review and deleted it. The devs told me that if I played a bit longer, I’d see that the “survival mini game for action lovers” is just an intro, and the core of the game is a “deep turn based RPG with complete class system, skills, artifacts and everything you’d expect (just as advertised)”. So, I decided to give it another try. While downloading, I skimmed some other reviews, and… apparently the actual game is a PvP gacha hero collector game, and the whole “turn based RPG” thing is a minor PvE sideline that you just auto-play? Wow. But anyway, I got up to, I think, fight 7 of stage 1-3, and hadn’t seen any of that yet, so that’s just hearsay. What about the part I actually got to play? Just remember that I am still apparently in an incredibly long tutorial intro, so who knows how representative any of this is… It looks like they took three different “teach yourself to be a game dev” Unity nanogame samples, reskinned and renamed everything to make it “unique”, and sutured them together. And the reskinning is a pretty slapdash job. For example, the fire-ice-earth-neutral elements are renamed to force-wisdom-faith-valor traits, but with the same colors and icon shapes, and the same RPS mechanical effect, and they’re even called “element” instead of “trait” outside the help screen. The “RPG” consists of walking a linear path (and picking up free gold and gems on the way or not picking them up) to get one line of story or a battle and repeat. Every odd battle (not just the first one) is that “survival mini game for the action lovers”. It’s even worse than I thought—because there is no rogue-lite progression, they just had to make the battles so easy you’d have a hard time losing. The even battles are that “deep turn based” gameplay that they advertise. Well, they are turn based. And they do in fact have the class system, etc. that really are exactly what you would expect (being from a generic sample game and all). But that’s all in service of a series of (up to) 5x5 fights on tiny maps, each one a little different but all ridiculously trivial. This is the Banner Saga or Bravelands, it’s a sample of the mechanics of a (generic ripoff of a) game like that. Maybe I could make a fun puzzle out of trying to find a way to lose without just skipping every turn? I threw my archer in front of my shield guy instead of behind him—and I still won. I wished I already had that auto-play that other reviews mention. And then I remembered that the thing I want to auto-play past is the thing they’re advertising as the actual game, so what I actually want is to just not play this game. And then I remembered that this is just the lure for an even worse non-game addiction-pump, so what I actually want is for trash like this to stop destroying mobile gaming (although it’s probably way too late for that). Why did they ask me to give the game another chance? They can’t actually believe that they’ve made a “deep turn based RPG” that I would enjoy if I gave it a chance and then raise my review from 2 stars to 5, can they? Are they even hoping to rip people off for money in some way that I can’t see, or are they just doing this for the evulz? Isn’t there anything lower than 1 star that I can give them? These eternal mysteries will go unanswered, as I delete the game again.

Fun Game but…
5-Star Gameplay! Incredibly fun if you like tactical rpgs... … but it’s got everything frustrating about today’s gaming industry: subscription options, pay-to-play, pay-to-win, loot boxes, micro transactions, xp throttling, pop-up ads, watch ads for rewards, and variable pricing. Developers need to get paid, but I wish I could pay$12/month or $60 flat for unlimited access, What they do to make a profit is a bit extreme.

Game is great but…
Game is really funny, it just every pop from the games internal store trying to get you to purchase something. 4-5 pop ups when opening the app. Then random offers to purchase stuff from the game just pop up randomly. Can be frustrating at times or would be a solid 4 to 5 star.

The Magic Island battles are far too difficult. I had to get five heroes with five stars before I could beat a single level, and I still can’t get past the first boss. Level one should be a gimme.

This game was fun for a while but after about 4 months of being hard stuck in every aspect of the game, maxing out multiple characters, spending millions of gold to rearrange gear sets to no avail… i think I’ll move on

Fun game, but giving new players free legendary characters while the people that have been playing for months get nothing
Great for deep pockets
It’s a good game if you can afford it. There are no affordable p2p offerings, if you can drop $10-30 for the daily’s cool. If you’re looking for the $.99-$5 bucks not the game. Charterer drops are abysmal, and if you do manage to pull a rare, it’s going going to be a challenge getting it to compete without putting cold hard moolah, into it. Also, the monthly subscriptions in my humble opinion, doesn’t pencil out. 60 gems a day plus 3 or 4 “mined” gems. When it takes 40 for 1 refill on energy. But I will say, you do get what you pay for, the Devs keep the game play interesting, with constant mini quests and challenges almost daily. Graphics are on point, games good, I just can’t bring myself to dropping the coin it’s going to take to advance through the game. Good luck and Happy hunting.
Decent but a cash grab
I really enjoyed this game at first but if you do pay to play everything is extremely over priced. Way too many heroes with little opportunity to obtain the ones you really want. Gatcha has low results for legendary.

This is now the 3rd review I’ve done and each time they get deleted because I tell the truth! This game is broken and sucks. The summoning rate is an absolute lie! I’ve personally summoned over 1000 brews and HAVE NEVER PULLED A LEGENDARY besides the guaranteed… they say the counter for each hero is RESET WHEN YOU SUMMON IT… yet I have summoned the same epic hero 4 times in a row… the battle system is terrible when you auto, if you tell them something is wrong with the game they will basically tell you that you are an idiot without telling you… now they put in a build system that is just god awful. Trust when I say, don’t download this game and give it a bad review please!

Good Game, Terrible Rates
I found this game through a cash making app and I was pleasantly surprised by the gameplay. The battles are quick for a tactics type game so I didn’t feel the sense of burnout that I usually feel from eventually playing tactics games. The designs of heroes are amusing. The problem with this game for me was that it was difficult compared to other games to earn summoning currency. And when I summoned, I usually got low tier heroes. I think my first 3 to 4 epics were really good then I hit a stretch of about 15-20 epics that were bottom tier epics. I hit pity for the legendary summon which was 150 normal pulls. And it was bottom tier as well. Since you are required to level up multiple heroes for content, leveling up bottom tier heroes feels like a huge waste because it takes a lot of time and resources to level one up. I quit out of frustration. It doesn’t feel rewarding at all to get bottom tier heroes since the currency is hard to earn. Quests don’t net much and the other way to earn is through tournaments and events. It’s hard to place high in tournaments because of the spenders. You can play it as a F2P or casual spender but you’ll need some patience. I spent about $45 USD for reference. I got up to about 150-160 in the progress quests, and I had just started the nightmare campaign when I quit.

I typically don’t play games like this but I am having fun playing heroes and dragons. Auto fight is helpful for me to keep up and make progress, but you don’t have to use it.
Construction is a HORRIBLE idea
The game was fun and lightweight until today. All you had to do was focus on building your heroes and completing missions. Now they’ve gone and fell in line with every other ios game out there and added building construction to the game. IT’S NOT FUN. I want to play the game. I don’t want to click to build, wait 20 hours, repeat. Add more content that utilizes the heroes.

I like the game well enough. I wish we could build our own main character to play & I wish being able to get a different dragon was easier but they lock that behind a paywall. Other than that the game is pretty fun.
Better than SW or Raid
idk why it says Castle Builder. This game is basically Summoners War, or Raid Shadow Legends, except they added position-based combat instead of 2 rows of heroes taking turns. Be prepared for aggressive attempts to get you to make a purchase. But no ads otherwise.
Developers don’t care for player base
I wanted to like this game, good gameplay and fun characters but the developers have no respect for the eir player base. They force you to sit through the same battle on auto mode for 5+ minutes each for some of their new content that you have already beaten and not offering a raid function to skip those battles???? Really???? How do you expect players to continue playing the same boring content on auto for months on end? Have some respect for your player’s time and allow them to auto raid dungeons for the materials needed instead of wasting their time watching the same boring dumb ai battles over and over again. No one wants to continue playing a game like that

The game is really enjoyable and plenty to do even as free player. That said, if you do want to pay, items are insanely over priced based on the stupid low percentage chance of getting a desirable hero or dragon. I would give 5+ stars if you could pay to get value. Too bad.

Good lord, impossible to advance
Let me begin with: this is a fantastic game. Well made. Just enough story. Fun to play, lots to do. Until… there just isn’t any point in playing. The game is a pure money grab, pay to win (really pay just to play). It will fail inevitably due to lack of FTP players throwing a few bucks here and there for a package. Your characters are level capped in just 2-5 days. Only way to get further is clearly to buy an insane number of summons. You need 3 characters of the SAME star level as the one you are raising up just to get to tier 4. Then a party of 5 lvl 40 tier 4’s require 4 four star characters EACH. You will virtually never summon one of those, so you need to summon 20 three star characters you will never use just to feed the tier 4s. The tear above that would take a year or two as free to play just to try to approach it staying at max level of a tier 4 forever. Beyond that you need an unlimited supply of training books, but instead you earned five or 10 a day so you can’t even get the level threes that you need to raise to level four high enough to even consume all of those three star characters. Utter greed, or just a total lack knowledge as to how their game actually plays out. Unfortunate, looked like I had found my game for the next year or three, but progression is already dead inside of a week.

Great game. Like old school tactical games. But the main campaign is over to soon. But it’s fun to keep playing. Over a year now I been playing. Problem is when you first start out they don’t give you enough energy to play with. Don’t look for any handouts from the game’s developers either. Any decent heros without spending cash is slow. First off. This is an amazing game. I’ve been playing it for years now. I actually started playing it when it was 5 heroes. But now they’ve unfortunately refused to listen to players of the game and have made it basically impossible to get any new seasonal character unless you spend 60-100$ a month. Sad to see such a great game with amazing potential bc just another ordinary game.

Not a bad game, quite enjoyable but as always if you want to progress quickly spending money is a must and prices are quite high. Usually I don’t mind spending few quid but £20 to £50 is extortionate.
Pay to win only
I just opened 20 of their Blue character open packs and didn’t receive anything good at all. Most games offer an option where you open 10 and the odds become guaranteed to get 1 of the better character. These terribly low odds of receiving the better characters is extremely deterring. Avoid the game.
Love this game!
Heroes and Dragons is a fun game that doesn’t demand constant attention to grind and level progress. This game is very F2P friendly. There are strategic ways to play, or you can put it on auto play. If squad tactics is your style, you can control and manage your squads for the best synergies and powers for opponents and terrain. There’s a fun multi tier campaign and daily/weekly/seasonal quest elements.
Avoid this game
This game is THE WORST pay to play game known to man. These people will force you to pay $30 to get one legendary summon and you will NEVER get a legendary unless you do a x10 summon. So unless you have hundreds of dollars of expendable income avoid this game, and if you’re gonna pay that much why not get a REAL game instead of supporting this game.

Game is nice but it is very hard to be a free 2 play and the events are very hard and doesnt give very good rewards
Disappointing
Easy to play and pick up as well as having a nice auto battle system to help the grinding. The biggest problem is the summonings - if you are ftp then you will struggle as you will have very little opportunity to summon anything but 1 to 3 stars. With this model I think the game is going to bomb - devs need to be a bit more generous with some higher tier summons.
