Fun game
Been playing casually and I’m well entertained.
Terrible
It’s a 5-star hero and content game. However 5-star heroes are next to impossible to get unless you’re willing to spend outrageous sums of money to purchase them. Have been playing over a year and cannot engage in higher content due to lack of heroes with which to play. Don’t waste your time and energy.
Fun but come on
Interesting mechanics and fun game, but I had to uninstall once I found the dragon in the wheelchair character. What are we doing

Second issue!
I bought a 9.99 option. And got a message I was charged $40. This is robbery. You still haven’t gotten back to me about my first issue.
Love the game, but if you join late, you can never reach the top
I love the game and have been a paying player for months. However, if you join the game later, you can NEVER reach the top or close to the top by game design. How you level up is dependent on time and cannot be expedited. It’s still a fun game, but would really like to see a path to reach the top instead of trailing behind in eternity. It discourages late comers.

This game was fun. I enjoyed the strategy aspect of it. But they made a lot of changes that affected the gameplay and the enjoyment. Worst of which is that they increased the prices of their in app purchases in countries including my own. I know some countries saw an increase of 5x. Hard to recommend.
Overly intrusive tutorials
The in game guide overwriting everything is really annoying. I don’t need a finger pointing at “battle” to know that I can go battle. Also, I understand how the game works. Quit forcing me into more and more tutorials where I have to spend resources on characters I’ll never use. Just. Let. Me. Play. The. Game.
Honestly game is fun
I go through games like crazy, I usually play them for a week and get bored. F&D has kept my attention for over a year. It plays a lot like Terra battle, but more use friendly. I highly recommend it. I almost never write reviews either. It’s definitely something different than the normal cookie cutter experience.
Very Confusing
I couldn’t even get past the tutorial. My objectives were clear, but how I was actually supposed to achieve them was a complete mystery. Game mechanics are just not explained at all.
Newest update broke the game
Summoning now freezes the game so you can’t move past to play it. Super unfortunate because I actually was starting to enjoy it.

Game is fine so far. Slightly seems Pay to win. One big thing I wish they implement is being able to auto skip stages you’ve 3 starred already. And more stamina to play the game.

Developers are making the game worse
They keep adding “features” that make the game worse. It used to be that you could predict how the team would fight with math. Now they added critical attacks for all heroes and monsters and it’s not fun anymore. Your heroes can die even if you plan things right. This is not the game I decided to like. They need to stay true to the main principles of the game, not make it more like a random game of chance.
Fun game
But frustrating on chapter 4 island bogs 1-3t maybe you should add to the game a diamond payment if you’re struggling with it and it gives you the answer and does it for you
Déception après des mois de jeu
Ce jeu est un bon jeu de stratégie avec un gameplay original. Malheureusement un drop rate trop faible pour obtenir des personnages 5 étoiles est carrément démotivant quand on sait l’énergie et les ressources qu’il faut pour les faire évoluer, il aurait été judicieux de l’augmenter en cas d’utilisation de 10 parchemins d’avoir au moins 1 personnage 5 étoiles… trop déçu et c’est à regret que je désinstalle ce jeu

RPG Gem
This game is unique. If D&D had a baby with chess it would be this game. The mechanics take a little bit to get use to but it is really fun and challenging too. Like all mobile RPG games you have to grind a bit to level up and get better heroes but it’s fun along the way. Enjoy this gem of a game.

As someone who rates games & media harshly, i have taken a liking to this game. I have played for almost a year now and reached level 92, so I have quite a lot of game experience. As someone who doesn’t usually enjoy puzzle games, even i enjoyed this one.
Difficile de noter...
1- En commençant, une guilde nous est imposé. 2- Certains niveaux de jeu sont impossible même pour des joueurs experts (4ans sur ce jeu), et d'autres niveaux plus facile. 3- Besucoup de niveaux sont inaccessibles pour les nouveaux joueurs. 4- L'ajout récent de familiers fait en sorte qu'il faut dépenser tous nos gemmes 💎 pour augmenter la capacité afin de faire de la place pour les héros et familiers qui sont combiné. Au lieu de dépenser ses gemmes à recruter, on agrandit l'inventaire encore et encore et sans cesse et ça devient d'un ennuie au point de vouloir quitter le jeu. O.o Les nouveaux joueurs sont grandement pénalisés. 5- Il est impossible d'écrire en privé. Il faut absolument passer par discord. :/ Il y a plusieurs points positifs mais trop de négatifs pour captiver un joueur assez longtemps. J'avais dépensé 7$ et j'avoue le regretter maintenant car je quitte après 3 mois, et avoir atteint le niveau 86.
Be Flexible
I have been playing the game for two months now and it’s interesting. The challenge of making the best possible move in the allotted time is unique. The differing skills across the heroes adds to the challenge since you get to select which heroes to bring to each fight. I will say that the devs are living up to their goal of being very friendly to f2p players. The drawback to this, or perhaps it is because the is still expanding, is that features are constantly changing without warning. So if you’re f2p it should only affect your time and you can adjust to all of the changes as you go. If you spend, be aware that you will quite possibly not receive entirely what was expected. Update March2023: Still playing but I often wonder why. Regular changes and updates might seem like a good idea, indicating an engaged develop staff, but they rarely implement smoothly. If you play, be ready to encounter a steady stream of maintenance breaks and times where the game is just unplayable.

Pay to advance and the wall comes quickly. The energy system is awful. Rewards are are and far between. The game mechanics and graphics are fine. The top players are not free to play, that is also untrue.
More fair
I love the game but it’s frustrating because it’s not really fair when it’s 4 against 20 and I only have one hit per hero with 4-5 rounds and the enemy has 2-3 hits per turn
Game crashes too much
Using a not too old iPad, from 2021. Other games handle on this iPad is fine, but this game constantly crashes every 20secs. It didn’t crash doing the first chapter but now it crashes so much I can’t even enjoy one full game without it crashes. It needs be optimized badly before I can think spending fair bit of money on here.
Keep it simple
I’m going to keep this simple. It WOULD be a 5 star game and I don’t hand out 5 stars in reviews ever if it weren’t for 1 thing. This arena is the most stupid function of a video game I have ever played in my 45 years of playing video games. I don’t know what genius thought they were being brilliant designing it but it’s a complete failure. Ether completely overhaul the arena or just dump it period. It’s the only reason I haven’t spent decent money yet on this game and the only reason I haven’t given it 5 stars.

This is my first day playing and I like it. I’m going to play more tomorrow.
Long tutorial forces you to spend your resources
The game is fine, fun even. But I uninstalled after it forces you to spend your first 300 gems on getting a hero, when it’s cheaper to save for a 10 hero summon. I was already peeved when it forces you to spend resources to level up a hero I didn’t want to, but then setting me back 300 gems on a dinky summon wasn’t going to cut it for me.
Interesting dungeon strategy game
Game idea is a pretty good one. Movement takes some getting used to, but opens the door to interesting strategical placement. If you like your dungeon crawlers and hero level grinders, this should help scratch that itch for a while.
It’s a good game until chapter 28
I’ve played for a probably a year now and spent hundreds of dollars, it was a great game but now I’m feeling pretty burned by the developers. There is a HUGE level spike at the end of level 28 that’s pretty much impossible without paying out probably several hundreds more. The boss there will silence your whole group every single turn and you can basically do nothing…. Pretty sad because it is a great game but greed always wins I guess…

TLDR: Game mechanics are awful Free to play, but must pay to advance/enjoy The long version: After playing for a month, I decided to quit this awful game. This decision is based on two big deficiencies: terrible balance and the stupid movement timer. The timer is bad enough (way too short to be able to make any constructive or helpful moves leading to death of the heroes), but when coupled with the game balance issues, it just makes for a terrible game. It seems the game is balanced for a party of 4* and 5* toons. However, in the month I’ve been playing I have not been able to get a single 5* character. Because of this, I have been stagnant in the game for over two weeks now. I am only able to level every couple days (which is as fast as the daily quests allow) because with a party of 4* heroes I’m not usually able to even beat on-level enemies. So, I have to level, play one campaign board and wait until I can level again to play the next one and so on. I can’t get any forward momentum in the campaign because of this. It’s a terrible catch 22. I can’t get anywhere without 5* toons, but I can’t get any 5* toons … unless I’m willing to pay for them… So it’s free to play, but pay to enjoy. *wink wink* I’ve been stuck in one chapter of the campaign for 3 weeks, which has caused me to become very frustrated and if I can’t enjoy the game, then I do not need to play.
Love this game! But...
They have some serious glitches they need to fix. I know they said they are working on it but I was at the top of the dragon-spire for 3 days waiting for my reward to see if anyone had beat me. Four hours left on the clock, and I go to sleep. I wake up and the challenge went to the next level. No reward. I was still top of the board. 👎🏻 That and the pay to win prices are kind of steep... $70.00 for bunch of cool things...? Okay but I wouldn't pay that much for a brand new PS5 game... I would happily pay $5.00 or $10.00 for some gems -if- it removed the constant ads of itself every time you leave the dungeons... Otherwise this is a great Chess style RPG, that leaves very little wanting. Great job guys!
Doesn’t work on iPhone 6
Shame as I really wanted to play this game Please look into this and please fix It loads a picture then some music and then just goes off I’ve tried it several times on on WiFi and WiFi turned off just on 4G both exactly the same :( Please please help please please fix
Insidious resource storage
I get micro transactions. I pay for stuff in appreciation of good gameplay and good design. And, I also know the asymptotic point where f2p reaches a glass ceiling and I normally anticipate it ahead of the developers/designers. But, I took time off the game to write this review and removed 🌟🌟because upgrading storage is nasty and frustrating. Players have to upgrade each resource cap INDIVIDUALLY. You don't upgrade the vault you upgrade EACH SLOT for EACH RESOURCE. And!!!! You pay with the resource it contains. You upgrade the gold slot with gold.. You upgrade the XP slot with XP. I decided to just give up and let the whales play. Too bad it's a pretty enjoyable game. 😒

Tutorials keep popping up and taking control. And then they make me waste resources in stupid ways.
Decent Game
A decent game which you can play without spending money, although you end up with the same heroes relentlessly and it becomes a bit annoying. Battles are good and get more challenging later on. Gold can take a while to collect and upgrading takes forever. A great game though. Would rate 5* but took one off for relentless same hero syndrome and one for making me consider spending money!
