Engaging, fun, and worth your time
Having grown up playing the Civ franchise and many similar games, I have higher/nerdier requirements from games of this type, and DoA definitely scratches all the right itches. The art is simultaneously funny/fun and gorgeous. The gameplay elements, tech tree depth, historical notes, and castle/town builder resource and expansion aspects are spot on. You can definitely tell the devs had extensive experience at other shops before starting the underlying team. Perhaps the best praise is that my college age son with very discerning gamer tastes also really enjoys this title. That ought to give you some sense of the breadth of appeal. All in all, love this game!
Would be nice if it worked
Avoid. Don’t know what it is about this game, but it will not run at all on my iPad (9th gen). Constant lock ups and super slow response.
Overall thoughts and issue Selling an item to advance to Viking age
It’s a fun game I’ve been enjoying it a lot the resources and upgrades seem balanced so far and the combat isn’t too hard nor is it too easy, that being said I am having an issue when trying to sell an item to advance to the Viking age the option to select the sell item button is off screen preventing me from progressing
My game crashes a lot
I’m new to the game still but every time I try to fight or build something my game freezes for like 20 seconds and sometimes mostly in battles I get kicked out before I can real y play the game!
We need simplify Chinese in the Language
Really a good game. You guys do have 2 different Chinese showing in the Apple Store, but only one in the setting which is traditional Chinese. I trust that most Chinese can’t or can hardly read them. Only Hongkong or Taiwan people can read them cool.
Exciting
It’s an exciting game with an amazing art style that I hope manages to survive the long run can’t wait to see new heroes arrive for each faction

With this new update, the connection is kicking me off. Even though I have fast Internet, it’s still kicking me out.

AI Splash Art, Meh game
It’s not a great start when you realize the loading splash screen is AI slop. Makes you wonder what else they are doing to avoid paying people. Gameplay is okayish. Managing troops and gearing feels clunky. There’s no option to grind. Lots of gatekeeping.
You seem to be having fun?….. CRASH!!
The game has potential to be really fun…. However, whenever you are just starting to get into the game it will crash (more often than not it will crash when you are loading a battle) and you have to wait several minutes for it to load up again which is really frustrating and the main reason I put the game down
Actually great despite the ai ads!
I saw an Ai ad for this game and thought it was going to absolutely awful but I bought it and it’s everything I ever wanted in a game! My advice is to get better ads more geared to the games real content and people will flock like flies

lost progress in game
This game was begun to look good was on a level 104 yesterday it wouldn’t allow me to login 16th of July now I have lost all my progress in the game and I have to start again. Customer services is non-existent this is so disappointing ! Bulvine the Viking
An otherwise good app that’s marred with a slight flaw…
I’m no expert, but I’m pretty sure the Anglo-Saxons didn’t use longbows at the time. They fought in shield wall formations and while they did have ranged weapons, they didn’t use longbows but spears. Axes, saexes (the Saxons were named after this weapon) and swords were malee weapons. But it’s an entertaining enough game anyway.

Recent Update Ruined
As of March 12, I cannot play, because of this new update. It keeps saying “disconnected, you have been logged out”. It takes forever to load the game too. So yeah, it was fun while it lasted, deleting this game now…
Newest update bug
In the newest update the game continuously disconnects and reconnects you, hopefully it gets fixed soon, but still an amazing game overall
Good but UNSTABLE
New update today makes game unusable. It never loads completely. Before the update the game would crash and have to be reloaded every 5 minutes at best. UPDATE: It only gets worse with every update they put out. Ads for rewards hang up or continue endlessly without allowing to end for reward. Time to delete this junk game.

Unstable game
I really tried to play this game and liked it when I could but constant crashes have led me to delete this game .
Awesome game.
The game is a lot of fun. Especially the weekly clan wars. The gear is cool and realistic, and there’s a tactical element in what gear you use and the formation of your army. Would be a 5-star game, but it crashes all the time, and if you’re in a battle when it crashes, it defaults to a loss. It crashes repeatedly during clan wars every week. Haven’t been able to launch the game at all after the update today. Wish they’d stop making changes and work on making the existing game stable enough to play.

Strategy RPG ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I absolutely fell in love with this game the 2nd time. I first downloaded around a year and a half ago and I deleted it because I found it boring. But I saw it again and decided to give it another try and now I can’t stop playing. DoA has beautiful console like graphics and gameplay is strategic. I’ve been playing around with different troop comps and seeing which formation works the best. I love working on training my villagers and keeping my castle running smoothly. I would appreciate it if the devs would keep updating the game and adding new features and strategies
Great game, awful stability
This is a fantastic game concept. Good city and army building takes some though. You have enough control of battle outcomes to make them interesting. The events can be or miss but something to look forward to. All ruined by a game that crashes all the time. I have played hundreds of games, this is by far the most unstable game I have ever played. I was lucky to get 15 minutes of continuous play. Now it’s gotten worse, one pvp battle (3 minutes) and crash.j Update: reported problem to customer support as directed by dev response. Sent all the info requested and then haven’t heard a peep in over 5 weeks. Stopped playing, deleted the app.
Good little time killer
Hate to say how often I open the app up. It’s a good bit of fun, gameplay is interesting. Bit difficult to understand some of the terms and no real guides online or in the app to tell you what resource is what as many things sound the same - battle points, etc. can be played free to play if you endure the ads. But I was considering a 3 star based on the absurd pricing in the store. £89 for in game resources? Guys the game crashes a fair bit to the point it doesn’t recognize my login. If I paid that and then the game lost my account I’d be livid.
No option to pick Poles to play
I wonder how you advertise the game with 5 nations but when you start to play there are only 4 available. Was looking forward to playing with the Polish commander and army
Seasonal Event frustration
I’ve played the game for quite a while now, and while it is fun, it does get repetitive after a while. But what really gets me are the seasonal events and how impossible they are at a certain point. Even as a level 340…the fact that I have to come up with uncommon battle axes in order to continue on with the special event is so frustrating.
Glitch
Bought a week pass and when I ascended ages lost what I bought. Now with the update I can’t log in unless I try over 10 times and it logs me out when playing.
Add heavy. Ridiculous wait times
Game is add heavy early in. That is if you want to actually do anything early. Starting natural resource gains is too slow for any real starting progression compared to the cost of upgrades. Forcing you to either buy (in app purchases) resources or watch a ton of add’s to do anything. Long upgrade wait times early in (20+min) also get annoying. Not a dive into game but more of a daily check in for 30 minutes game.
One of the best strategy games!!
Dawn of Ages is a brilliant strategy game with tons of thrilling rewards and potential Equipment to upgrade my army. However, the game kicks me off when I begin most of my battles. Please fix it

Slow Progress but fun
The game has some long upgrade and crafting times, but overall it’s decently fun to hop on throughout the day. The combat is fun with the card selection and use of tons of different equipment. The only reason its three is because it is is very pay to win, and expensive, I don’t spend money on stuff like this so I’m progressing pretty slow.
Goat of the genre
Best city manager type game, they don’t add a bunch of fantasy elements which would ruin the game. Decent battle system, could use a little more control over unit movements.
I used to enjoy this game.
I’ve played this game for almost a year now and I’ve enjoyed it thus far, however I’m no longer able to play the game. Ever since the Christmas update I’ve been unable to log into my apple account. I try to open the app it will log me into my apple play account and it will load to 100%, but then it stays there without actually loading me into the game. I’ve tried using the guest login and it works just fine, but I don’t want to lose almost a year’s worth of progress. I’ve tried reaching out, but no real help came. I hope this issue is resolved because I would love to continue playing this game.

I enjoy the ingenuity in being different from other games. However it’d be nice having more weapon and armor customization and be able to control the army freely without the card

The game feels interesting. It's like a familiar genre, but it's also fun to play. I really like the interface design. I have one request: please add the option to turn off the disappearance of fallen soldiers (corpses). When they disappear in the first few seconds of a battle, it takes away from the atmosphere of the battlefield. I know it might put a strain on your device, but I believe my iPhone 16 Pro can handle it :) And I know how to minimize the system load. And I'm sure you know that too. And I think I'll be back in the game when this setting/improvement is available.
Amazing project
Game is very strategic, casual and fun! I most definitely love the aspect of managing your own kingdom but the most interesting and fun part was making your army and going to battle. The best part is how much you can do with the army, building your own formations and upgrading your warriors with many unique weapons and armors. The only downside I would say to the game is that it’s very time consuming in which doing upgrades and advancing epoch (civilization) takes days which can be a very slow process once you get a certain level. The packs as well can be very expensive and costly if you want to pay money for an extra edge in the game. I do hope the game gets more free to play friendly and is more generous with free stuff. But overall I am very excited for the future for this game!
Pay to win
This is the biggest waste of time, that is meant to be a pay to win. It puts you against people you have no chance of beating then shows you a golden cannon for $40 that will wipe them out. This game is such a sham that even the clans in it have become bots in the chat to try and get people to join. Sorry have to come back and edit this it $50 for the cannon, and the store is filled with stuff like that.
