I hate to give low reviews but this won’t even make it past the login page… tried on iPhone and iPad.
Great Game, but needs TLC
I've played this game almost since it was released in 2012. its very sad to see literally almost nothing has changed except for new maps, but its always been a great game. it just needs some tlc, like why can we not see what scouts are carrying when the deposit disappears or have to hunt down every merchant weve sent to find out when they will arrive. when you start getting multiple villages its very easy to miss something like this and it makes me choose the pc version everytime aside from when im not home. honestly, the pc version is far superior but veterans like me need some new content, at the very list allow us to mod ui, audio, textures, etc. if the devs/managers dont want to do it the community will surely do it. this game has so much potential and the veterans just want to see this potential fulfilled. a next gen update would bring back every player and bring in tons of new players, it just seems like the managers dont know the pile of gold theyre sitting on and are content with as is.
Overly complicated
Way to far from the PC experience. The game feels like you need to go to a seminar or even have a bachelors degree to play it properly. I love the PC version of this but it fell to far from being fun to be overly complicated. Uninstalled
Great game, crappy card system
The game is great, I love it, have loved the Stronghold games for the last 23 years. My only issue with this one is the card swapping. We should be getting more Card Points for swaps.
Amazing
This game is very fun and worth it, you need to join a faction to make it worth it otherwise you’ll be constantly attacked but after you do that it becomes very strategical and fun.
Full of cheaters
This game has people cheating using bots. (I’m not referring to what everyone can pay to have) You cannot compete with them unless you are willing to cheat as well. The mobile app doesn’t have access to everything in the game, you have to play on a computer. Don’t waste your time or money on this game.

Excellent and fun game !
Waste of time and money
New players are quickly destroyed by existing stronger players in so called “Houses”. Almost impossible to join a House for protection.

No destruction on other countries and not much to explore and more building stuff
Pay to win is not strategic it’s sad
Played it on PC then tried it here, I would buy the game but I won’t buy a win, that’s for those types who can pay but not actually think strategically.

Нельзя вращать карту и отдалять. Не видно некоторые здания, можно строить за пределами обзора. 3. Нужна хорошая оптимизация на iOS

Game reset
While the game play is pretty slow, I was enjoying playing until I logged in and it told me to pick a new location and reset my castle back to start. Now I can’t get back to what I had done.
Worth it?
If your a stronghold fan you will love this game like me. It’s the only mobile game where you can build your castle. Sadly stylish castles won’t last long due to army sizes. However my only complaint is the reset feature. You get so far in the game just for the world to end and reset. I wanna build an empire not a few castles then game over.
Losing village
Annoying when villages you have created is lost with no appreciable method to recover it. Otherwise the game is good fun but very reliant on purchases.

Игра интересная, но поймал баг, который не даёт пройти обучение. На первом этапе обучения повысил рацион до х4 для более быстрого прохождения игры. На втором этапе потребовалось поднять популярность рационом, а она у меня уже на максимуме. Активная кнопка только на повышение. Других действий игра не даёт сделать. Нет возможности понизить уровень рациона, или вызвать вспомогательное меню. Только вариант удалить.

Well I tried to make it work But it didn’t. You build and grow then you rank up Then you need to reach in order to rank up further but you research because research points are given when you rank up. You population starts to grow then slows not sure why. No explanation in the game Chose to spend on the game. The “crowns” never showed up. When I asked customer service and gave them receipt that I paid, they told me Apple has to take of refunds. But I should log out and log back in to get the “crowns” Nope didn’t work. This game is not worth it
Fun. Slow. But still good
This game is super cool if you like castle builder games. Prob the best one. But it takes some crazy patience, even if you’re a big spender. I like the balance that you can’t really pay to win, and that free-players can still compete

Its waste of time i played the game and some strong player that have 14villages attack and capture my 2villege after that i got nothing and even i cant get back to where i was before and idont have enough time to build another village i think the fact that you lost your village is not heartwarming.

Really fun ye and that but the start you need to check if the phone switches sides in a bit

Graphics are cringe basic. Was a big turn off for me based on that alone. Town screen with menus and and grass that looked like my 4 year old son drew it in ms paint from win 95. It’s 2024, atleast try and make it a pleasant experience.

So I've been reading reviews and most of them are reviews from players that just don't underst how GOOD if a game this is, I've always wanted to play a game where you can build a village, Castle, send out armies, Trade, and scout, this game is one of the best RTS games that i've played, and truly a good strategy game too. Love this game!
Don’t bother unless you want to spend lots of money
I have played for years and it has gotten progressively worse. There are so many players using bots to cheat. Many players have alts and are playing multiple accounts. Those that spend money on the game have an enormous advantage over players that do not pay to play. I have never spent a dime on the game and never will. There is a huge disparity from one player to the next. The game used to be fun and relaxing.

I play on iPad so your mileage will vary. The game is definitely geared so that you need to pay to fully enjoy the game’s progression & good features. That being said, you can play the game well enough without paying; it will take a bit more planning & time. Despite that, I still love the gameplay. What I really hate is the constant crashes. Every 15 minutes sessions of gameplay is marred by at least 3 to 5 crashes. I almost spend as much time playing as reloading the game. That is what makes a game unplayable. If this continues after the next update, I’m out.
Troops disappear
Sent 30 pikemen and 20 archers to my parish which can hold 50 troops, when the army of 50 got to the parish they disappeared, nothing in parish troops or at my castle they just gone???....
QOL improvement
Ive played this game for years, supported it forever, since about a year into it being published online. I was stoked when the mobile version came out. One quality of life improvement I have always wanted to see, add the card timers to mobile when I go into the card screen. I know its impractical to have the timer displayed on the UI, but let me see it on the card. PLEASE.
Do not bother
The need for resources is unobtainable and ridiculous. Almost 3000 stone for a hovel? People keep coming into your village but you cannot keep up with food so they go hungry and your popularity decreases and there is nothing you can do about it. I played this game on the PC shortly after it was released and it was much better. I do not know why they would change it.
Great game- be prepared to get stomped
Used to play this on PC and now that the iOS app is available, stable and extremely easy to use, I’m right back into the swing of it. New players are better off waiting for new worlds to pop up though, going into an established one is recipe for getting stomped as soon as your n00b protection runs out. Great fun though.
Hours of progress, wasted
I spent hours on this game, building up my village, castle and armies. Even winning my own capital. I came back in today hoping to achieve a new rank. Just to find out someone had stolen my village, time and spot. This resulted in majority of my progress being wasted on an idiot and me losing my hard earned parish. If anyone ever makes a game like this one, don’t make it possible to ruin the game for it here’s like that. Without this annoyance in the game, it would be a good game.

To be honest is you love CK2 youll love this game, this a social version of that gams, its great but it crashes too much, fix that and its the PERFECT game for grand strategy players

Been playing for a month and got pretty far only for a guy with 40 villages to attack me constantly losing my village and can’t build a castle as he attacks me 3x a day. On top of that he excommunicates me from our territory. Wouldn’t recommend playing at this point.

I keep trying to train a scout and it says I got it... than it removes what I bought. I never pay for it but it is one of my advisors goals for me to do... what do I do? I got a video.
