Really Poor Execution
Went from a great app to absolutely horrid. Constant sign in problems, constantly updating. Payments never process. Not sure if NT is just off-shoring this to AI, but may need the humans to get back involved.

App won’t open
For some reason in the past few weeks I’ve been unable to get into the app. It goes to white screen and the spinning star and no further if it even goes that far. Often it’s just white screen.
Unreliable
When it works, it works well, but often it doesn't take some checks, so I end up going to a branch to deposit, which negates its usefulness.
Best customer service
I’ve been banking with Northern trust for many years. I like Northern trust Servise and everything else. Thank you.
Poor Deposit App Feature
After phone deposits to 2 separate banks without a hitch, NTB always seems to disappoint as I must try several times to make a ‘clear’ deposit picture. Why does it work seamlessly w 2 other banks?

Please go back to saving id when u log in!! Don’t like it took that option away. Other then that love the app.
Often frustrating
I just filled out your survey and gave you the benefit of the doubt.. but not sure why I did! I seem to have chagrin ever where I turn with your banking system. Filling out the option section of a new payment has 34 spaces. Not enough spaces!! I also think your options- personal or company need explanation. What is a private club? Is a 501(c)(3) a company? Does it have tax implications to choose? Everyone in person is extremely personable but I am busy and need your systems to make my life easier.. not more stressful!
Bill pay can be better
Most banks allow you to receive the bills directly into bill pay. NT needs to do the same to get a 5 star rating.

Trouble Reading Amounts on Checks
App has trouble reading amount on check. This has happened both on hand written and machine generated checks.

Update failed
Updates almost weekly- this version will not install. Very frustrating! Now I cannot use the app.
Antiquated search capabilities
Both the app and the online website are very antiquated. It is difficult to do a search. If I put a dollar amount in even though the dollar amount may show up in the ledger, it does not necessarily show up when you do a search. This has been an ongoing problem for many years.
“Not what it once was”
There isn’t anyone planning my account with me. I retired three years ago and no one from NT knows that. When I first started with NT, we would sit down and plan out my account. Difficult to contact Peter for anything. I’m going to come in to three quarters of a million before the end of the year- I don’t have a reason to stay with NT. Sincerely, Gayle Wede

Can’t deposit Northern Trust Dividend
I tried several times to deposit my Northern Trust Dividend check and it was rejected every time. This is a check provided by Northern Trust and being deposited in Northern Trust. I suppose I will have to deposit it in my local credit Union.
Disgraceful
Private Passport has spent a billion dollars I hear. Yet, it is disgraceful. Just today, we had to have a VP at the Northern involved to just activate a new debit card. Last week, I spent many hours just trying to set up an auto pay between Northern Trust and Chase Prime Visa. After wasting literally hours, I find out that Private Passport is not set up to accept autopays with Chase, the largest bank in America, I believe. After more talking with PP big wigs, they even admit that this is beyond ridiculous. Chase says they have never heard of such nonsense. I am told they may get it working early next year. Except this exact same thing happened a year or so ago with another autopay that Northern would not work with. This should take a coder a VERY short period of time to set up since PP already does autopays with other banks. The incompetence is astounding.
It’s trash.
Limited functionality, faulty logic, no interoperability with desktop application, constant errors, designed to protect NT (not the client) at the expense of the client.

Many of the items have been removed in Bill payment which before helped when bill had been paid by another source or when bills were sent in error.
