CD interest
Not very happy with getting CD interest every three months instead of monthly like other banks, they dealt with in the past.
Can’t configure alerts
The menu option says “Messages and Alerts” but alerts isn’t there. Otherwise the app is workable for transfers, deposits, and bill pay.
User friendly
I have been a customer of Byline Bank for years. I am not technologically savvy, but I can always find what I need in this app. It’s very intuitive and user friendly.
Outdated App & Website
Good bank. But outdated app and website.
it’s good enough
it doesn’t do everything; would like to be able to open/update CDs upon maturity. it does everything else i need.
Needs some updates
Can’t get to statements or any other features. Only thing I can see are transactions.
Partially Works
This app works only half the time. Many times I have to close it and reopen it to get it to load. I do like that I can search by keyword for a charge.

Tech support lacking
App’s gotten much better over the years, but the underlying tech still has problems—for instance, a failure to display scheduled or pending transfers or bill payments. And Byline’s front-line staff, though friendly and responsive, is often unable to address tech issues on its own.

Doesn’t make banking better
It’s functional until you change you change your number. Trying to update my personal information has been ridiculously difficult. I have a new phone number and they keep trying to verify my information by sending a text or notification to my old phone number. If I had my old phone number then I wouldn’t need to update my personal information now would I Byline Bank? Do better!!!

Worst app ever!
I’ve had nothing but problems with this bank ever since North Community Bank became Byline Bank. Their online banking system is extremely frustrating, and I’ve been locked out of my own account more times than I can count. Banking should not be this difficult, especially when people need access to their money and accounts without constant technical issues. What makes it even worse is the lack of after-hours support for online banking emergencies. In this day and age, being able to reach someone when there’s a serious access problem is mission-critical. At this point, I’m seriously considering moving my money elsewhere just to avoid the ongoing hassle. Very disappointing experience.

Have to scroll to see what account to use when depositing. Annoying. Also, your drive-thru ATM at the Archer Ave. branch is WAAAAYYYYY TOO HIGH!!! It’s made for Monster trucks or something!!! Need to lower it!!!!

Slow and clunky
You’d think that a newly revamped app would be better than what it replaced. Nope. Slower and more nested menus so it’s harder to navigate. Another example of Byline being 3-4 years behind the rest.
Mobile check deposit flawed
I work in computer vision, and the jury duty check I have could not be a more perfect case for reading account numbers. However, the app feels that no matter what picture I take, it can’t read the numbers and complains that the account numbers aren’t clear. Mind you, I know what I’m doing when it comes to taking pictures computers can process. Now I have to take this check to the bank. I COULD have deposited this into my wife’s account, but I had to endorse it ONLY to Byline. I’m not seeing the value of this upgrade. The old app worked just fine.

Very convenient - makes my life easier
Inconvenient
This bank has become more and more inconvenient to use! The bank as a whole has gone down hill over the years for personal use. New app update has locked me out of my account. There is no reason that I need to contact customer service when there is a forget password option on the login screen! Nobody has time to do that! I’ve been a customer since about 2012, will be switching banks.
