Audiobooks on the Go
Audiobooks goes with me each day as I travel to & from work, run errands, or go on trips. I listen both in my car & on my phone. I often have to find out the end of the story so often listen in bed as well. I appreciate the wide selection of authors & categories.
Worst audiobook app
The biggest issue with this app is that when I leave the app, the book starts over. After a longer drive, I was in the middle of chapter 4, and it started over after the grocery store. It was a pain to find where it left off. I’ve used several apps for audiobooks and this is the worst one I’ve seen.
Great, only one problem
I have enjoyed getting books from audiobooksnow, the only problem I have is that the files do not have the Metadata. I had to find a program to add it myself so I can organize the files for books together on my phone.
Glitchy
It’s such a shame that this app is so glitchy. I would use it all the time if it worked smoothly. Books that I have downloaded won’t play without a lot of fiddling. A great many people don’t want to sponsor Amazon and want to support independent companies, so, pull your finger out. The web based version works fine.
Ok for the annual price
I love listening to books so I have memberships to several audio book apps. This is a fairly good app for the club price but not the best available. I checked my app libraries and see that I have bought the least amount of books from this app so that tells you something.
Cost effective audiobooks
I’ve used Audiobooksnow as an alternative for certain titles that were more expensive on Audible. Recommended.
Poor book player
Everything about this app is less than good. It won't give correct time left unless listening at 1.0x. Why must the player pause when adding a bookmark, it starts again by itself but the pause irritates. It gives choices, why can't it just add a bookmark?? details are never complete. A very poor book player.
Good Company
App is easy to use - sometimes it freezes up and I have to delete and reload the app, but maybe that’s just the internet connection- in general I enjoy this app and it’s a good price -
Mr
Why is there no option to play through an Alexa
No Chapter Selection
I appreciate the ability to buy books cheaper and one-off rather than a subscription model, but how in the world is there not a chapter selection tool? This is absolutely standard in every other audiobook app, including free ones that libraries provide. This needs to be addressed.
My go to
I have a large library at Audiobooks Now. This is the first place I go to to look for a new release I want. I find them to have fair pricing all around. I have a few issues with it such as not actually saying the right chapter I am on if I go back a few to re-listen. Overall it is worth the cost.
Can’t start program keeps saying both password and name wrong. Tried about 15 times, had enough
Deleting app
Audiobooks for convenience
Since I found audiobooks, I don’t have the patience to read printed books, or to drive with out a book to listen to. I can find books on Audiobooks Now that aren’t available in the public library, or get the popular ones when I want them, without waiting for weeks or months.
Who did you pay to make this
I haven’t seen such an ugly UI in years. No option to download the Audiobooks. If you are trying to capture market share from audible you are failing hard.
Awsome
Audiobooks Now is awesome. Just wish that you can buy books in the app.
Truly crap
Abysmal ... keeps stopping at end of a track and have to press play again whereby it rewinds about 3 minutes. Cheap and nasty. Stick with audible. Only use as website only one that sells version/narrater i like.
Excellent Selection
I like to listen to history books and have found other platforms to be lacking. Audiobooks Now is where I go to when I cannot find the audiobook that I want. Their regular sales are great as well.
App is too basic for subscription to be useful
I recently joined for a trial, and I won't be continuing because your app is just too basic. 1. It needs to give options for audio speed. If overdrive, borrowbox, oneclickdigital, audible and even the default book player on an iphone can give different audiospeeds then you should too. I am used to listening at x1.25 and so find the lack of this feature a deal breaker 2. You need to have bookmarks. I know your software "remembers", but it only "remembers" the most forward place you have EVER been to, not the LAST place you were. This means that , like me, if you fall asleep... suddenly it keeps taking me to track 100 (for example) when I'm actually up to number 30. So now I have to take a screen shot every time I pause so that I know where I'm up to as each time I re-open the app it goes back to 100.
Best Prices, Great Catalog, What’s Next?
When I started my exploration into audiobooks, I tried many different platforms/ apps. Some were okay, others were so so. After trying about for I stumbled upon Audiobooks Now while looking for Jobless Reincarnation. Many apps were charging full price or locking access behind subscriptions, Audiobooks Now offered such a great plan, that it was hard to pass it up. It’s been about a year now I haven’t stopped shopping through their index for my next novel series to purchase and listen to. This app is so smooth that I can’t believe this wasn’t my first pick. Now I use Audiobooks Now app for just about anywhere I go, be it work, on the road or doing chores around the house. I hardly ever have any issues with starting my next book. And I enjoy how once I make a purchase through the desktop page it immediately updates with ‘My Library’ with my purchase. If you haven’t tried their app or visited their site, then you should, because I plan too. Thanks for creating such a great place to expand our minds through audiobooks.
Frustrated newbie
Unable to download or stream with volume. Have tried their trouble shooting tips.... but nothing 😡😫 Please help me ?
Audiobooks
Listen to my books here. Easy to use. Love it!
Does its job!
I use this app regularly. Put simply, it works. I’m not sure what else you could want from an app of this type.
TERRIBLE
I downloaded this app hoping I could download asoue books on there so I searched it up and it only has random books from that series they didn’t even have the first one also I tapped on another one and it says you have to pay dollar and I downloaded it on a British App Store. I despise this app. ( 0/0)
Overall I enjoy this service
I do like this service. Great selection of books at reasonable prices. Prices are better if you sign up for the monthly plan but sometimes I can’t get through books fast enough to justify it. Overall, I do recommend.
My favorite audio book site
I like the vast number of topics you can read up on and their prices are fair. Monthly specials are also a great way to pick up a few books. If you have any questions or problems you can text them and they respond in 24 hours.
Not much choice
Search seems to produce nothing Very limited choice ..unless I'm doing it wrong ?
Excellent Audiobook App
Best price for audiobooks. The only update I would love is if on my iPad it wasn’t always in portrait mode.
Great app!
Lots of audio books, great prices!
Absolute rubbish!!
Shows pictures of books then can't find them - awful to navigate! Got in UK App Store and prices are in $! Deleting this and sticking with audible!!
Listen whereever
Great app for audiobooks downloads to devices then listen even without streaming . Goes with you!
Easy and well priced
This easy-use and affordable app allows me to own the books I love and listen over and over again. Great alternative to other apps.
Documents folder is protected
You cannot add your own MP3 books to this app--which makes it little more than a sales tool, rather than a useful MP3 player for many of us.
Great alternative to Audible
You will save money, but their selection is limited.
Listen to the world
I have drawn on Audio Books for years. There are many reasons, but I respond to the breath of selection, prices and price plans, frequent sales - even free selections. Don't miss this opportunity and its comparative advantage over the buggies.
French
I live the app and the choice in English but my deception is that I would had love to purchase as well directly from the app and sometimes books in French too
