- Hard to find specific titles or navigate
My Favorite
So many great books for free! Can’t find a better app
Useless
Cannot even find a book because of adds that take forever and then the screen is blocked. Totally useless and dysfunctional.
new to this!
so far so good!
Sadly out of date - shows only old recordings
As someone who has read more than 30 books for Librivox in the last 30 months, I was interested to check out this app. Sadly, it’s database is well out of date. Not one of my readings of the complete works of Joseph Conrad shows up, for example.
Review
I have only used the app one day and am forced to write a review before I am ready. So far it’s ok, wish there were some more modern books available to listen to, but since I am using to fall asti guess it doesn’t matter
Surprisingly Good Reading
I like this app because the books they narrate are OG.
TOTAL WASTE OF TIME SND MONEY
1) ads that you can’t skip after several seconds! 2) no preview!! Experienced LibriVox listeners know that the reader makes all the difference in whether or not you will enjoy the book, 3) Ads… did I mention the BOMBARDMENT of ads! You can’t switch to a new page without a new ad being shoved in your face!! Oh… and speaking of ads… 4) when I tried to pay the additional $1.99 to turn off the stupid ads… the bloody link wouldn’t work. Do not waste your $5 bucks!!
Exiting a book during a read???
So I love the public domain rights including all LibriVox rec. and archives online that being said I am having a hard time finding a suitable reader in which I can download to my iPhone, windows based laptop & desktop or even if I had to run a separate os in Linux &c. So far so good but I need to try it on windows still and on the phone when I am listening and I want to stop it will not allow me to exit the screen?? I tried swiping tapping &c. All I found to work is closing the program and restarting...? I would appreciate any insight or remedy to this Thank you
Cant get past advertisements
I used to like this app and use it frequently. I just got an iPhone 12 However and the advertisement that comes up before you can listen is not closable. The “X” to close the ad is way up in the left-hand corner near the time display which cannot be hit on an iPhone 12. Therefore I cannot get past the advertisement which is full screen. Thus making the app completely useless unless I pay for the non-advertisement version. Please fix this!
Decent
App is making me write this to continue to use it. Other than that no real complaints about it. Decent title selections and can’t beat it being free
Best ap in here!
Awesome collection tons of books ALL free! I saw a review saying it’s not a searchable collection which is not accurate, the search feature works fine. Also another review said they were excited Dorian gray was on here which is funny that is actually specifically why I came looking for the free audio book ap, it’s my favorite and i wanted to listen to it but my i books audiobook I purchased wouldn’t download.. the free version in here has no issues. I previously had the other free audiobook ap that has livrobox in the title and this one is much much better, easier to use and books are all one file. The other ap sometimes you have to download 2-5 different files for one book and it’s confusing because they are sometimes out of order. Anyway this is awesome, all kinds of books! Definitely an ap everyone needs!
READ THIS BeFORE YOuU GET IT
I don’t like it very much there are hundreds of books they don’t have and those books might be the ones you like the most you might like the app for other reviews but if you are I kid most books you like won’t be there so just know this before you download it
Me an Books
I hate this app and love this app it has good books but not the ones for me 😢
STOP BUGGING ME ABOUT RATING THIS APP
If you want advice then I will give you advice, STOP BUGGING ME ABOUT RATING THIS APP AND JUST LET ME DOWNLOAD MY BOOK ALREADY OR I WILL DELETE THIS APP FOR GOOD
I mean
I like it and all but they won’t let me download anything unless I do a review all of a sudden.
Works good
Won’t let me remove adds, but it works okay with them.
Ok app but….
So I downloaded the app and it won’t download the book’s chapters. I waited a couple of days and it doesn’t work. Please fix it.
I would give it a 5 star ratting but...
Most of the kid books are not fory nine year old kid. Because when we go on a trip she uses my phone to lisen music but she is so bord and just, just. Most of the books are like Alice and wonderland, Cinderella and well just Disney books. I would like my nine year only kid listen to Alex rider and books like that but there not they are Disney books which is disappointing but all and all is is a good and free audio app so yea (☞ ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)☞
Review
Some of the audiobooks are not working at all.
Hello
I use this app for long car rides and it is great
Love this app
This fits my busy life. It lets my Dad and I have book club even though we are across the country with ease and with limited tome to read.
Search Engine
The search engine must have been developed around 1983. It is obvious it can’t find itself.
Great, with one suggestion!
Wonderful app. I had the old Librivix app, which I loved, but have just discovered this updated version. More books s available on this one. However the old app has one feature this one doesn’t... the option of speeding up the narrators when they speak so annoyingly slow! It was a feature that I used all the time. Any chance that could be added to this version? If so, this app would DEFINITELY get a 5-star from me!

It’s fine for now

Good app
Impressive collection of public domain literature.
Cannot login to this app
I’m only offered to login with Facebook and google I believe. I have not used either of those to open my account online. Therefore I cannot login and use this app at all. How sad.
Free audio books
FREE!!
Eh
Good
Have to review but good app
Have to review but good app
Great collection
Perfect for long road trips and free to download audio books.
Audiobook app that forgets where you are???
This “audiobook” app has books but none of the features you’d actually want to listen to those books. It forgets your place. It only plays at 1x speed. Worthless.
Great app
I like the selection, but also wish that there were more newer books. Overall a lovely app
Annoyed
Just trying to figure it out & I’m interrupted with this rating , wont let me proceed til this is fine. Not impressed

Can't access my audiobooks
I have a large library of audiobooks in iTunes already, but this app won't let me listen to them.
So far, so good.
Just started. I love audible so hopefully this will be great too!

The Three Musketeers
I seem to have to review this before listening.. odd!
Huge selection of great books!

VERY DISAPPOINTING
I’ve been a dedicated Audiobooks listener for around 10 years. Every now and then the app will get bogged down and it will need to be rebooted, usually because I’ve downloaded way too many titles. Well I just rebooted the app and OMG what a huge disappointment. The app is designed by people who ether don’t use it or, I don’t know what. You can’t bounce around from download titles to library and so forth, you are unable to dim the brightness, the volume is no longer on the app. You could no longer... Now a maximum of FIVE titles can be downloaded. Many titles are very short, poetry or children’s books for example. So if you want to, let’s say spend the day driving you are out of luck. I suspect that this is about $ because with the new app adds pop up a LOT, way more than on the old app. I could go on but you get my drift. I will check in periodically and see if some of the issues have been rectified. Normally, if I found a new app and it wasn’t set up better then this I would never return, but I feel loyalty towards Audiobooks because of the very many hours of pleasure it has brought to me over the years.
It’s pretty good
Ummmmmm, I’m really only doing this because it wouldn’t let me listen unless I did, sooooooooooo✌🏿
😥
All books are old , super fast downloads
Forced to write review
I don’t like being forced to write reviews. I had to write this review in order to continue using the app. That’s not cool and will irritate people. I only just downloaded this so don’t have much input on the content, but so far I like the idea behind it.
