Don’t like the knocking part
Don’t like the knocking part of his game everybody keeps on knocking and I win. They won’t even play out to play gin it’s stupid get rid of the knocking part.

I would give it a five star rating if I didn’t have to exit and come back in at the end of a game once you win, you can’t just continue with the next series
Multiplayer disconnecting
My wife and I love this game and play often. The one downside is the disconnects. They happen too often and spoil the fun. Tonight was especially frustrating. We played for a couple of hours and never completed a single 100 point series. We just gave up for the night. Over the past I have sent several emails to the feedback support team for help. They respond every time saying they got my email and working on it but the disconnects continue. I’m disappointed … can you fix this?
No multiplayer
We played once. Now it immediately says the other player disconnected on both of our devices. Every time
Great Improvements to the Rookie Player
I've been playing this game for quite some time. After a recent update, the Rookie AI became surprisingly tough, making it very difficult for beginners like me to win a game. The latest 9.0 update has nicely addressed this issue. The Rookie player now feels like a true beginner-level opponent, which makes the game much more enjoyable and less frustrating for casual players. I can play more games, improve my skills, 7and win more often, just like before. Thanks to the team and making the Rookie level fun and accessible again!
Cannot open menu!!!!
Idiots changed game so you have to Continue even if you just want to open menu for a new game! Then, they can not understand what they did !!!!
Question
Sometimes I have under 10in deadwood but the knock button doesn’t appear. Why?
Upgrade???
It was a pretty good game, but as soon as they did an “upgrade”, it wasn’t a real game.
It’s a curated simulation of a game
The previous version was a bit too easy, so instead of improving the computer opponent, you curated the deal (clearly it’s not random) and occasionally “peeked” at the player’s hand. Moving on to a different implementation of gin rummy that’s an actual game.

The game suddenly has slowed down. It deals quickly but each card has slowed way down. Turned off ipad and on again, but still slow.

Better with a major needed fix
THERE IS A MATERIAL FLAW IN CODE. THE ALGO CHOOSES NEXT CARD IN STACK TO BE THE SAME AS THE IMMEDIATELY PREVIOUS DISCARD. SEEMS TO HAPPEN ABOUT 8 OUT OF 10 TIMES. WAY WAY TO HIGH.
Huge multiplayer improvements
I’ve been enjoying Best Gin Rummy for more than 10 years and still play it every day. It remains my favorite Gin Rummy app thanks to its smooth gameplay, polished animations, and pleasant sound effects that make every game enjoyable. One thing I really appreciate is the thoughtful design. The interface is comfortable to use, even during long playing sessions. The cards, buttons, and layout are well positioned, making gameplay effortless without causing finger strain or fatigue. I primarily play multiplayer games with friends, and the latest 9.0 release is a major improvement. The new invitation system is fantastic. Being able to accept game invitations from anywhere in the app makes connecting with friends much easier and more convenient than before. The biggest improvement, however, is multiplayer stability. In previous versions, we occasionally experienced disconnections during games. Since updating to version 9.0, my friend and I have played multiple games back-to-back without a single disconnect or connection issue. The multiplayer experience now feels seamless, reliable, and polished. This update represents a huge step forward for an already excellent game. Kudos to the development team for listening to player feedback and continuously improving the experience. Highly recommended for both casual players and serious Gin Rummy fans!

If you like playing a computer that gives itself the exact cards they need and gives you nothing, go right ahead. Ridiculous
Too easy to beat.
I rated this 4 out of 5 because it is not challenging enough against the computer. Playing against my wife I have a hard time keeping a 50/50 average.

Jerky card presentation
This new version has such jerky card dealing now, I deleted it, and reinstalled in the hopes it was fixed. It’s not. It makes my eyes wonky while playing. Hope they change it.
Why doesn’t the game work?
Gin Rummy is unusable after you “improved” it. It matches me to another player, but no cards come down.
Horrible update
The last update completely ruined this app. All movements are extremely jerky and hard on the eyes. And all deals have gotten so quick to end. I went through a lot of Gin apps before I found yours. It was the first one that had great flow and didn’t always end quickly. The name of the game is Gin not Knock! Hate this game now! Have been trying to play again but still the iPad plays to Knock and not gin. I hate that! When I stated playing your game years ago I had already tried many gin games and yours was the only one that played until gin but after your last update it is just like the others! Hate it!!!

Poor maths and tactics
Deadwood totals make no sense too often. I've been offered the chance to knock with deadwood reported as 15, and not offered with deadwood less than 10. Computer player seems far to keen to knock, so human player can just sit tight and clean up with lower deadwood.
Too slow
After the latest update, the cards move at a snails pace. Don’t like the changes in graphics either.

This used to be the best gin rummy app for apple but the latest update destroyed it.
Don’t like the last update
I have played this game for years and always enjoyed it. The latest update fixed it so that you rarely win. The AI wins and wins fast. No longer the same fun game. I’m done.
Well designed but for one problem
Plays and looks good. Only problem is cards dealt for each hand often have a set and/or a run more often than when played with a paper deck with persons. As a result it's too easy to win and the playing can become mechanical. Otherwise it's very good and I continue to enjoy playing this game!
Good gameplay with terrible flaw
This app has surprisingly good gameplay, although it always plays to knock as early as possible, which can get annoying after a while. Rarely does the ai score gin. The automatic hand arranging is annoying but the manual arranging is a bit kludgey and can only be done after drawing a card, before discarding. Regardless of all that, the game often miscounts the player points at the end of a hand (including the most recent discard as deadwood), a terrible flaw which wipes away a lot of my desire to play the game. I have found no means to provide feedback to the developer. It is hard to believe they released a card game app with such a basic flaw.

This was my fav game I played for many hours Now I almost can’t even get a game going and once I do opponents leave or get disconnected I hope they fix all these glitches soon. I was better before
Game has changed - so sad
I don’t know what exactly they’ve changed but I am no longer enjoying this game. I used to be able to win an even-steven number of times. Nice challenge. Now I am slaughtered almost every time. Ridiculously so. Heaven forbid if I am the first to score. Then the slaughter is rampant. This is at the same skill level before their last upgraded. Skilled. Same as I’ve been playing since I first began playing the game. I am so disappointed. But I have found a couple other gin rummy games to try out. So sad. But thanks for the time I did enjoy with you all.

I like to play card games (poker mainly) I am new to gin rummy so am not that great at it. Here's my problem with this app/game I don't mind losing here n there or even three or four games in a row but when u lose six or seven or more in a row and a lot of these are one card wins or gin one may start to think that this app is rigged (I no y would they do that)? Perhaps it's just me I'm that rubbish at the game.

As I play this on my phone and I occasionally touch the wrong card to discard, it would be beneficial to have it discard only when dragged to the discard pile and likewise with the draw pile- sometimes I don’t mean to touch and then stuck with the card. Otherwise it’s great okay.

Fun game! Very SMALL ad, which is non-disturbing. Only one of its kind, that I could find! We play it every night! Nice job developers!!
Bogus Opponents
Live opponents are as fake as robots. Big Gins are won without them even taking their last card. Try to purposely lose a game to them. You almost can’t. This game gets worse every update. I have played this game for a couple years now , but the fraud is too obvious now to even bother. Deleting after this review for good. Just hate being lied to.
Gin and rum so much fun
Fun game. I've tried several keep coming back to this one.
Can be frustrating
I quickly became aware of the algorithm, as quickly as it figured out how I like to play and therefore games get mechanical. I can often tell if it's a hand I'll win or lose from the get-go. I'll play until it starts getting monotonous then put it aside for a few months.
