Best game ever!!!
This game is great. If you loved shuffle cats this is just as good. I’ve wanted a replacement for that game ever since it was discontinued. I’m so glad I found this. My only regret is that I didn’t find it sooner.
Bummer
The new update took all the fun out of the game. Now it’s just a money grab. The cards are in no way random either. They clearly are manipulating your win ratio. They must be prioritizing players that are spending money and buying chips.

Best looking gin game, BUT…. This game is definitely trying to make you purchase coins to play, I.e. you have to wager coins to play, so if you do a 10,000 coin table, both you and your opponent put in that amount for a 20,000 pot. However, the winner will only get 15,000 (loser doesn’t receive anything), so the game takes 5,000. Basically you only get half of your opponent’s wager for winning, but you lose all of yours if you lose. That’s hokey bs! Also, it definitely feels rigged at times, to make you have to buy more coins. Great looking game, but it treats its human players like a greasy turd.

Great Game… BUT
Actually do love this game… but it’s a little too coincidental just how often an opponent can come from way behind to win! Seems especially so if you are low on credits and/or don’t make purchases to buy more. So from say 70/80 to 0 classic or 140-160 to 0 on Oklahoma to then lose - too often to just be coincidental bad luck!
No response on help
App is not working. Submitted a request for help & no response. I have high speed internet that is working great but when I open app it saids that I don’t have stable internet, I have spent a lot of money on this app & now I’m out of that since I can’t play.
Ad won’t clear
All of a sudden the spades ad will not go. No option to close after a few mins. Have to shut iPad down to get rid of it. I will delete if it doesn’t stop. Really annoying and not worth playing one game then the spades ad. I understand the need for ads for income, but this is intrusive and spoils the whole experience.

Eine sehr schöne Umsetzung des Spiels, die InApp-Käufe sind aber wirklich ziemlich teuer und mittlerweile kommt bei jedem Starten und bei jeder Rückkehr auf die Menüseite Werbung dafür. Beginnt langsam etwas zu nerven. Trotzdem gut implementiert und wen die Werbung nicht so nervt, der ist wirklich gut bedient. Während eines Spiels kommt übrigens keine Werbung für InApp-Käufe ;)
Unfair - Don’t Spend Money
This game will just cause frustration with its unfair dealing. I know the app developer claims it’s fair but look at all the complaints. If you decide to play it do not spend money on it - you will get ripped off.
Algorithm
I’ve been playing this app for years as well as physical gin rummy. Even though this game does have an element of chance, there is a fair amount of skill involved. In person, I’m almost defeated. Here? It’s rigged for you to lose against bots and it’s incredibly obvious. Especially in leagues. They want you to drain your chips. Even if/when you spend money though- you will still lose far more than you win. That said- the layout and ease of play is favorable next to other apps. The frustration of the play not being fair- is frustrating.

Love the game but it has stopped loading for some reason. I’ve even lost money because it has dumped.
Stop changing the game
I have been playing for years and the game has gotten increasingly difficult to play for the casual player. It’s not that much fun anymore. My average has dropped significantly without a change in how I play, they have increasingly raised entrance fees and the ability to do weekly challenges, as well as lowered your ability to win. You have to constantly make in game purchases to stay in the game which I understand is the point of this app but the lower levels should be more accessible like it used to be for some who is not a gambling addict and who can’t constantly dump money into the game. I don’t recommend
Algorithm set so you have to pay to play
Pretty cool UI, a little too much going on. As others have said, they have it set so you automatically win at first, next thing you know you’ll lose 15-20 games in a row. Your opponent will get gin in 2 cards, and then you need to buy chips. Yeah, no.
Lower coin games taken away
You took away the lower games now you have to pay more coins over 1000 or higher each time to play. Rewards are far few and in between. I never have enough coins to play. I tried to buy a game pack and didn’t receive it. I got a refund, but there’s no way to buy coins. Unless you buy gems and they are too expensive.

100% convinced You cannot say that this game isn’t rigged in the beginning you win all the time and you seem to be leveling up and and getting these huge "payouts " then suddenly you stop winning and get sucked dry was exciting when I had first deleted and started over and saw some changes also what’s with these stupid stamps another scam I’m not sure if I’m going to continue with this game because I am absolutely disgusted
Annoying long adverts
I enjoy the game very much. However, the adverts are so boringly long and repetitive. Often become frozen so I have to close the app then reopen.
New changes suck
I like this app, I used to like to play it every night before I went to sleep. Sometimes I would pay for credits but I also like to be able to play for free. The new changes with the lowest level of play requires too many points. You have to go back four or five times to get in order to be able to play one hand. The other thing I’ve noticed is it seems like When you buy credits and play you lose more often requiring you to buy more credits. Have not quite deleted the app yet but I’m leaning that way. It was fine while it lasted until the developers ruined it.
Why have I started to get adverts!?!?!
I’ve been playing for a while, it’s ok. You can see how it gets to draw you into buying extras but all of a sudden I’m getting adverts and there is no option to pay to not have them. If they stay I will be deleting.

Too many people knock before gin. It’s no fun. The graphics are BEAUTIFUL, but they take way too long.
Fun but not without issues
A really fun game to play but the dealing and drawing of cards is absolutely not random as the developer’s comments suggest. Which is infuriating when you’re on the wrong side of it as it must be for opponents when you’re able to Gin 4x in a row in a match before we’re even down to 20 cards left in the pack. It’s easily the best presented Gin game on iOS and really fun to play as long as you accept that you’ll be on both the ‘right’ and ‘wrong’ side of some ridiculously one sided games.

I love love love playing rummy! I have a few different apps i play it on and each one has their own special quirk that absolutely INFURIATES me… THIS one’s quirk is that it automatically sorts your cards and makes runs for you, and you cant move your cards around yourself at all.. It doesnt always make the runs i want, which messes up my deadwood count.. and since we cant move our cards around freely and have full control of out hand, more often than not it ruins the match for me.. please, please update the app or however you can fix it and make it so we can control our own hand. PLEASE

Great game and fun but with a couple of exceptIons. You run out of coins quite quickly and then you can’t play unless you purchase. If you don’t want to make a purchase then the game gets locked, you have no tokens to play and you can’t do anything. You can get free tokens every 4 or 4 hours but if you want to play a higher table that can take days. It’s too bad because it is fun to play. The other irritating part of the game is you can hold two cards waiting for a third to form a meld for many draws but once you give up and discard, the card you need it is immediately in the discard pile or dealt to you. It happens just about every time which is rather annoying.
Entertainment only
Don’t download this game if you want a true card experience. This apps’ algorithm is boring and not realistic. Pay to play. Fake cards.

I’m really enjoying this game. However suddenly it’s started to close down mid game ,it just closes down no loss of connection very annoying
Best Overall
I have tried a lot of Gin Rummy games on the App Store and IMHO this one is the best. I like the UI, the vintage look, and the different options for game play. I will say that I agree with some of the comments that suggest it *seems* “rigged”, as I have seen many card draws and many knocks/gins that would be *almost* statistically impossible with a normal, randomly drawn 52 card deck. For that, I suggest playing the Oklahoma option as it makes it harder for those things to occur. Otherwise, this is a very good game.

Good Game
This is a strong gin rummy game, but I wish they would bring back the tournaments that they had in the old version. This were awesome.
Algorithm doesn’t work
I’ve played this game on and off for a few years. The set up is great, the challenges are fun, and it’s nicer than the other versions out there. That being said, the algorithm really can’t handle attempting to be random with shuffles. After months of playing, it’s really annoying to see bursts of winning with no skill whatsoever and way too fast, and then continued bursts of loosing where the opponent wins in one or two picks, with no actual time to play and build your hand. If it happened a few times then maybe I’d believe the developer that they don’t mess with the algorithm, but when it’s over and over again and I can call the patterns I see with the decks, it’s beyond ridiculous and frustrating. We just want to play a normal hand! I’ve also noticed that as I approach the top percentage of a tier, the losing hands increase so it’s harder to reach the 100% and get the bonus into the next level. Same with the stamps. And pay attention to the penthouse challenge- once you get high enough to move from the east wing into the west wing challenges, there’s no notice- it just puts you there. So if you go to click to enter the challenge based on muscle memory, you are suddenly paying $89,000 chips instead of $2000 from the east wing. So you can wipe out your whole account in one click.
Can’t open game
When I try to play game, message comes up ‘Preparing the hotel’ and locks me out for ages. Only way I can access is by shutting iPad down completely and reopening - even then it’s hit and miss
Fun lover
I’ve been playing this off and on for a few years. It’s one of the best games out there to play against real people. There’s no game player comments that are rude. Also there’s no actual money involved, so when you lose it’s only your ego that gets bumped a bit. Some people are just really good. They seem to play a lot. I try and learn from them. Change up your strategy depending on their game style, if you can. Good luck and just have fun. Easy to learn and yet it’s challenging. I’d suggest playing the Oklahoma style. It gives you more time to figure out their style and beat them! 🥳

Suspicious sometimes
I really enjoy this game but i have to wonder sometimes when i collect a few chips suddenly i lose game after game with my opponents knocking after a couple of cards. I have just played over 20 games where i have hardly knocked once and lost all of them. Big gins after a few cards odds that are astronomical. I know you say the cards are random but i must be the unluckiest player in the universe!
Coincidences
I played years ago, took time off for no reason really but redownloaded the app and it’s just way too crazy how coincidental cards you throw or need that the next one would pop up on deck. I’ve read other reviews and you say you don’t use bots or AI which I do not believe at all. If you sit back and really watch the cards thrown or picked up from the stack it’s completely rigged. The payouts are extremely bad as well, I get you need to make some money to keep an app running but taking 50% of a win is absolutely crazy.

Good Game, Bad Coin Mechanics
Game is a lot of fun and card dealing is objective. Big issue I have is that you need to win 2 games for every 1 game you lose if you want to break even. That’s ridiculous and clearly designed to make players go broke and need to buy back in. There is zero reason the “house” should be taking 10k of a 30k combined pot. It has no basis in being “accurate” and could only be a device to drive a need for uses to pay for more coins.
