Best recipe cookbook
Love this app. It’s my go-to place whenever I fancy trying something new or want to try a recipe with a specific ingredient. One thing that I personally think would improve it is it would be great if there was an area where you could note any alterations you make to a recipe. Apart from that, great.
Good recipes, poor filter functionality
Great content and recipes! However, the search filter functionality is pretty poor. If you select two dietary requirements, the search results tend to ignore one of them—even when sorted by "most relevant."
Good but could improve
Has useful and good recipes. The 'False fast' problem is not limited to GF! It takes 15m+ to properly sweat off and caramelise onions; to pretend it can be done in a few minutes is an insult to proper cooking and will give indifferent taste to the finished dish. Second, fish is cooked to temperature, never to time, yet this is never mentioned. Why?
Great ideas
I seemed to be cooking the same meals constantly, and when I ask the family what they want to eat I get no ideas! I downloaded the app for recipe ideas and have already got a few to test. I love that you can search by ingredient and then see what pops up. Fingers crossed we will have some new favourites after this week. 🙂
Acess to recipe
Joined the app after annoying notes to do so. Now cant get access to recipe unless i subscribe

I love the good food app, just wish when you save there is an option to make notes to adjust to specific requirements and tastes

Love these recipes. They never fail to provide inspiration for chefs of any capability and with so many recipes to choose from.They always update their recipe collection too so it would be very hard to run out of new things or variations to try.

Very confusing app. I was using a menu and it suddenly disappeared and i could not find it again
Loads of great recipes but…..
Reluctantly paid for the app (on offer) as fed up of not getting all the recipes I love online - like I used to. I find the search facility rubbish - exact wording typed in but doesn’t retrieve the item I only looked at a day or so ago. Odd when the app is actually called ‘Recipe Finder!’ That was the same online to be fair. Having said this it easy generally easy to use & the stay awake facility is useful when following a recipe. Good to have them all in one place

Lots of recipes , but put eg … tuna pasta bake ; Comes up with some tuna recipes , but also chicken pasta bake, sardine etc … want a refined search
Need a a grocery shopping feature
Great recipes, huge library, easy to use and filter. But if you want to go grocery shopping for four or five recipes, you have to manually go through each one. It would be so much better if they bundled a grocery shopping list for all of the recipes you selected.
Many ways to cook Everything
Put anything in the search, and a multitude of ideas appear.
It’s an insult to charge for this
The amount of inaccuracies in the recipes is just getting ridiculous now. The amount the recipes serve and cooking times are regularly wrong. The recipe methods frequently make no sense and makes me wonder who they have writing these recipes. Then there’s the search function which is useless. When I enter foods into the dietary exclusion list it shows me recipes with the same ingredients I’ve just asked it to exclude??? The app frequently freezes, cuts out and deletes my saved recipes sometimes even my account and customer service is non existent! There seems to be no one monitoring the app at all which is clear by all the spam and annoying comments there are on the recipes. You would think that something connected to the BBC would be much better than this but I guess not. They have a cheek asking for paid subscriptions to this app. I guess they are just trading on the BBC name and the guest recipe contributors instead of the actual quality and working of the app. I’m not that shocked, standards and customer respect levels are hitting rock bottom everywhere.

Absolutely could be me but I can’t as yet easily print a recipe from my iPhone 16Pro

Love this app but there are two things I wish they would add the ability to edit or delete a comment in the comments section and also add Fahrenheit temperature to instructions
Recipes now behind a paywall
Really disappointed to find recipes I used to frequently use behind a paywall now. Making this change now when many are struggling with the cost of living seems badly timed and doesn’t encourage me to spend my money.
Love this app
I have used this app for years because of my English roots. Some of the changes over time have been silly. I’d like to sort my recipes by name rather than oldest or newest. Some of my categories disappear from view even though the app tells me they still exist! I wish it was as user-friendly now as it was at the start!!
Great App
My go to app when I’ve got ingredients in the house and looking for a good recipe. The plentiful helpful reviews for most of the recipes also adds value.

Why can’t I subscribe with Apple Pay?
I have enjoyed the recipes for years and I’d like to support the team by subscribing. But I’m not in the US and I cannot pay with iTunes US store credit. Shame!

Only thing i would say thats really annoying is that the measurements of the ingredients aren't adjustable. If I'm trying to cook a one person dish and the measurements are for 6 people, i have to work it out myself. Think it would be way more beneficial to a pot of people if they were adjustable. Other than that the recipes are delish and come out good every time.
Easy, easy, easy
Really easy to use the App and I love that so many recipes are available in a few seconds. It is also useful to read people’s comments, anyone who cooks will always adapt recipes accordingly. The App also helps when wanting to introduce foods you would not normally cook with or want to change your diet.
Keeps logging me out and then won’t let me back in
I have a paid subscription for this app but it keeps logging me out and then not recognising my subscription through Apple to give me access to the recipes. It is really frustrating when it does it just as I am about to start cooking!

I have a digital subscription, but for it to be worth it to me, I need to be able to use it with my Paprika app. So far it isn’t going well. Any suggestions?
App seems a big buggy - server errors
While the app is working, it seems fabulous. But I keep getting server errors. I’ll go to save a recipe and all of a sudden, my collection isn’t there. I’ll do a search and getting errors. It seems to be server timeout errors? I am accessing from North America so that could be root cause.
So utterly reliable!
No matter what I’m baking this app has something for me!! Everything works and I find the comments for recipes really helpful. I’ve adjusted recipes myself to better suits my family but at the end of the day, this app is my definitive “go too” no matter what!!
Recipes are nothing special no worth the cost
I am disappointed by this app. I had a subscription. To try out. Would be better if you could add what you have in your fridge pantry & the either suggest recipes based on that . Or give you a more dynamic way to substitute based on what food you have . Or allow to add update the recipe. Based on your preference , your own twist and allow you to save and update the recipe. Love to say the Recipes are special & worth the extra cost . 3 months they are Very hit and miss . Can be quite bland . No point saving recipes in this app as when you stop the subscription your loose access to recipes . Even though you paid to see them. They are not new recipes. So if you do want to use them again write it down 😉.. this could be developed to be an amazing app. Not there yet

No user comments
On the BBC Good Food website the user comments are very helpful and I’ll often take the tips people leave on the recipes. I can’t see any comments on the app though? Don’t understand why this feature is not on the app.
My Collections
Love this App. Keeps my favourite recipes in useful collections. A wonderful guide to cooking on a budget or blowout dinner party. I’ve been a fan for years!

HORRAY💃🏽
BBC Good Food recipes has always been one of my absolute favorite apps so I'm thrilled that it's back!! The total redesign is fantastic! It's easy to zip through specialty cookbooks and the collections of the month or to do a search for something specific. This app is filled with a mass variety -- you'll find great recipes for ever kind of eater (vegans, kid friendly, vegetarians and dessert-aholics😃). I especially like that we now have access to recipes on the BBC Good Food website as well as favorites we've saved in our recipe box (on the website). That said, I do have one suggestion: please add the option to change measurements from Metric to Imperial. I highly suggest cooks at all levels download this app -- you won't be disappointed!
Ask your customers
A ‘portrait only’ operating mode in the new app is a retrograde step. Consider asking your users about functionality next time, I.e. before you engage software engineers to ruin something that was working well.
What happened?
I absolutely adore this app to the point of actually spending money in it but its usual super slow start up has been replaced by no start up at all. It won't open or load, it just crashes and this is annoying me as some of my absolute favourite recipes are on here. Please fix this problem. I want to be able to make yummy food again.

Since iOS 15 the app doesn’t work, very buggy and constantly crashes. It’s a pity because there’s tonnes of great content…
Great recipes, good app, poor support
I had this app and all the optional cookbooks on my previous iPad and found it very useful with some tasty recipes. Unfortunately, there is no 'restore previous purchase' option, so I no longer have access to the optional cookbooks and a month later I still haven't received a reply to my query/comment about this made via their feedback link.
