This Used to Be A Favorite… Now it seems to be a Scam. BEWARE!
I used to enjoy this app, but since the update and possible new ownership, it’s been terrible. First, my original information in the app has been wiped and reset. Second, I haven’t been able to log in to my correct account since the recent update. Worse, when I ask for help, I receive responses in another language. Third, because I can't access my account, I haven’t used the app at all, yet today I received a bill. Scam central! This new company doesn’t seem to care enough about its customers to even send support information in the right language. BEWARE!!
Programmieren ohne Userberücksichtigung
Toll was man alles so programmieren kann. Schön wäre es aber vorher mit den Usern mal zu reden und nicht hinterher nachzubessern. Nur ein Beispiel: Früher konnte man die Downloads auswählen die man in einem Rutsch löschen wollte, jetzt geht nur jeder einzeln, was dauert. Das war nur ein Punkt, da gibt es noch einige weitere die das handling nun unkomfortabler machen. Bin am überlegen mein Abo aufzulösen. Preise die nach und nach steigen kann ja ok sein, aber dafür die Haptik als Belohnung zu verschlechtern…………
Verschlechterung
Die neue App ist eine Katastrophe-habe die App seit Jahren genutzt und bin immer sehr zufrieden gewesen-aber jetzt macht es keinen Spaß mehr - die Zeitschriften dauern unendlich lange eh sie geladen sind - die App ist unübersichtlicher geworden - Schade
Eigentlich tolle App
Es ist schade, dass das Sonderheft zur neuen Saison bezüglich der Handball Woche noch immer nicht korrigiert wurde.

Optisch hat mir die alte Version besser gefallen. Ansonsten ist Readly einfach mega und ich kann es nur empfehlen!
Latest version is a downgrade
Where all magazines were automatically downloaded in previous versions, the latest version either doesn’t or doesn’t complete the auto downloads. Disappointing.
Vorlesefunktion immer noch nicht verfügbar
Seit dem Update läuft die Vorlesefunktion nicht mehr. Das ist wohl ein Programmierfehler. Wann wird der endlich behoben?
Gelesen Status fehlt
Die neue App macht für mich aktuell keinen Sinn. Ich sehe keine Vorteile, aber es fehlen wichtige Funktionen. Vor allem der Lesestatus fehlt. Somit ist jede Übersicht verloren gegangen. Wirklich Schade. - Ergänzung : Lesestatus mittlerweile wieder vorhanden, wird aber nicht über die Geräte synchroniert und somit unbrauchbar- aber immer mal ein Fortschritt Leider tut sich auch auf der Entwicklerseite nicht viel. Die Rezessionen sind katastrophal, aber es erfolgen nur Kenntnisnamen. Keinerlei Änderungen oder Verbesserungen in Sicht. Sorry, ich bin aktuell sehr enttäuscht und unzufrieden. Schade, es war mal meine Lieblingsapp mit täglichem nutzen, aber ich suche mir was anders.
Die alte Version war besser
Leider bin ich von der neuen Version sehr enttäuscht. Sie ist viel unübersichtlicher und zusätzlich bemängele ich am meisten, dass man die web-Adressen unter den Artikeln oder Produkten nicht mehr anklicken und öffnen kann, auch Rätsel kann man nicht mehr eintragen. Das ist sehr schade.

Ich bin zufrieden mit diesem Abo jedoch würde ich mir die Zeitschrift Couch hier wünschen….
Horrible - since the merger it simply doesn’t work
The Readly app was great - simple and effective. Then they get taken over, a new app is launched and… It doesn’t work at all! I’ve tried numerous times and it just throws up an error every time I attempt to login
New app
It’s taking me some time time to navigate this new application, I am not seeing magazines that I enjoyed on the old application, I am not loving this new application.

Eigentlich eine tolle App
Warum hat Readly Rätselhefte integriert obwohl diese nicht mehr im Magazin ausgefüllt werden können? Das macht keinen Sinn und war in den letzten Jahren besser.

Readly ist einfach die beste und entspannteste Variante, digitale Zeitungen und Magazine zu lesen. Bin ein großer Freund davon. Bitte bleibt so 😊

I subscribed for years and loved it! This last update is horrible!! Cancelled my subscription! Can’t find many of the magazines. Go back to the original format

Titelauswahl unübersichtlich
Seit der neuen App war es schwieriger Titel zu finden. Man muss in den Profileinstellungen die gewünschten Länder eingeben, sonst erhält man nur die Titel aus dem Hauptland. Das sollte besser in der App kenntlich gemacht werden.

Verbessert
Die erneuerte App war grauenhaft, vor allem schlechter als die alte. Die Kritiken folgten rasch, die Reaktion der Entwickler war zu Beginn eher arrogant. Aber: Nach einigen Updates ist die App wieder brauchbar geworden und hat auch einige Verbesserungen zur alten Version erhalten. Mir gefällt vor allem die Funktion „weiterlesen“.
Häufige Abstürze
Neue Ausgaben der Tageszeitungen laden nicht, App stürzt ab beim wechseln der Ausgabe. IPad update aktuell, Readly update aktuell. Da ist noch luft nach oben.
Alles neu…. Schade
Inhaltlich finde ich Readly nach wie vor klasse. Umfangreiche Vielfalt, so wie ich sie mir wünsche. ABER: Nach dem letzen Update ist die Übersichtlichkeit, das finden und Anzeigen meiner Favoriten und Magazine eine einzige Katastrophe. Geht zurück auf die frühere übersichtliche Version und ich bin wieder dabei.
What happened to the green tick ?
It used to be so easy seeing what I’d read as once you’d finished the magazine there would be a green tick . The updated app doesn’t have this ! A backwards step . Please bring it back . Otherwise I would have given 5 stars !
Do they even know what they’re doing?
How can you take a great app and destroy it deal with these people did and remake it thinking they made something better. It has zero functionality you can’t auto download anything you have to do everything one by one you can’t try what you want. It’s completely asinine and useless. Absolutely would no longer recommend this app whatever management team decide to make the update should be fired.
What happened ?
The app was excellent when I first started. The supposed update made it less user friendly: it has become more difficult to find one’s magazines and newspapers. I don’t get why app producers do this 😟
früher war die APP besser
Die App ist nicht mehr so übersichtlich. Heute, 27.08.2026 gibt keine WELT und andere Zeitungen. Den Support zu kontaktieren funktionieret nicht, weil angeblich eine MAIL Adresse (???) fehlt. Ich kann nicht auf mein Profil zugreifen und dies zu prüfen. Die App war mal gut, hat sich aber verschlechtert.

What an update!
OK I have been a readly subscriber for 2 years, and I used the old app. I got an email Saying I didn’t pay my subscription on PayPal, and I had money in there? But when the update was on my iPhone, I was in awe on how the app looked. My settings were moved, so was my subscription, and you added games? I am glad that I updated! Now what is the new magazines and newspapers?
Go back to the old App
This new app is entirely dependent on connectivity. The old app worked fine, even with limited signal. Once a magazine was downloaded it was there and could be read regardless of connection. It was great the way it was.
Mühsam
Readly war für mich vor der Änderung perfekt. Ich will mir die Artikel selber aussuchen und sie nicht als Wegwerfartikel behandelt sehen. Zeitung lesen ist ein Genuss für mich. Dafür braucht es auch Zeit und es hilft mir auch beim erinnern, was ich wo gelesen habe.
Nicht alles neue ist gut
Die alte App fand ich früher besser und übersichtlicher als neue. Deshalb werde ich das Abo definitiv nicht mehr verlängern. Ich merke dass ich weniger in der neuen App stöbere, warum dann noch Geld bezahlen wenn man kaum etwas nutzt. Sehr schade

Warum kann man nicht auf die nächste Seite durch einfaches Antippen??? Nein man muss die Seite mit dem Finger rüber ziehen 🤦🏼♂️

Useless Search Feature
The search feature has become completely useless. One of the reasons I preferred the old app was the ability to search for an artist’s name and instantly find every magazine page that mentioned them. Now, the search barely returns any results, and you can’t even search within magazines anymore. If the old search functionality isn’t restored, I will unsubscribe.

Bring back the old version. It was a lot better
New App is Substandard
Wow, I am shocked at just how bad this new app is, after the purchase by another company. Everything I loved about Readly is sadly gone. The magazine covers (of what is left) are teeny tiny. It no longer tells you how many of your chosen magazines have added new issues. The catalogue feature is not working so you can’t even see what magazines are available. There is a lot of really old content but where is the new? Definitely not worth the price anymore. So unhappy that most of the content I enjoyed seems to be no longer available. And customer service does not respond to emails. Bad all around.

Leider sind mit der neuen App sämtliche Zeitungen und Magazine aus dem skandinavischen Raum nicht mehr verfügbar. Sehr schade, war dies doch für mich ein wesentlicher Grund, Readly zu abonnieren. Änderung möglich?
Used to be so good
Why is it that a company takes over another company and automatically assumes that the original companies product (app) is bad and needs to be changed? No customer consultation, no advice and in this case no idea of what they were doing or how to do it - just change it! Well that’s what happened to the Readly app. It was a perfectly good app, did its job well and now it’s unusable. Well, I’ve cancelled my subscription!
Unsubscribing
It’s like someone in the company said, “Let’s take every good feature in the old app and make it worse…then wrap it in a bad UI.” When things change this dramatically for the worse, it’s a good time to re-evaluate the subscription. My time with this one is over. It was a good ride and I’m thankful for it, but I’m done now.
Language filter
Please make it possible to filter the content by language
Backward Step
I read retro magazines using this app, and would click on links in the reviews to download them. This no longer works. The new app has lost the charm it had, with simulated pages turns and sounds, and generally feels like a step backwards. Please add the link support back if nothing else, and provide the page turning feature again.

Bad update
Before your latest “improvement” I’d have given you 4-5 stars. I was sorry that you lost a few of my favorites, but didn’t blame that on you. The recent change, however has made it harder to find my favorites as they become available. Give me back my library please.
