GREAT COLLECTION
Easy to access, huge variety, PDF ready. Great value.
Not enough magazines to pick from
With all the magazines out there ZINIO has very narrow selection it’s also has no warning when your subscription is almost over
Cannot access eight years of magazine subscriptions
For the last week I have been emailing support and they were able to fix the problem.
Lots of room for improvement
I should’ve written this review a long time ago. I have been using Zinio for a long time, probably over 10 years. It was quite revolutionary at the time. Over time, the quality has gone down substantially. I used to use the text view frequently to read magazines. Almost always now this does not work. It brings up a very tiny font. There has been absolutely no innovation that I can remember. For example, it could be much easier to navigate a magazine with voice i.e. go to page 85.
There’s an issue with the reader view where the text is really small
In a recent update the reader view text size has become illegibly small across multiple magazines. The slider no longer works where you can change text size.
Continues to be a great app
The app is great. Able to read easily. Downloads are speedy. Customer service is top notch as well.
Terrible app
I stumbled on this app while looking for Apple News alternative, but it was nothing but disappointment. I couldn’t even get to sign up for an account because I kept getting notifications that they’re experiencing technical difficulties. What a lame app!
Great!
So fun to read! Can’t put it down!
It keeps crashing
Now, it won’t even open, then crash again and again.
Sale Prices Are Fake
Why why why does ZINIO always offer a discount on a subscription and never support their discount,at payment time?
Mag reading
Great way to read lots of mags, without having a pile of them!
Doesn’t work half the time!!!
It would be nice if this actually worked!! I constantly have to use the desktop site to see my magazines. Why don’t you make an app that actually works?!?
App stopped working properly
I’ve only had the app for a few days and at first it worked well but now the text refuses to resize to make it readable on my iPhone, regardless of the text size I select in the menu. It is unusable like this. I tried contacting the help desk but it sends me to a new screen that doesn’t recognise my password even though I am logged in on another tab using the same password. Please sort this out. I have paid for a subscription which is worthless at the moment as there is no other way of reading the magazine.
Issues with text sizing
The text resizing works only sometimes, and usually only after a reload of the program. Very poor quality programing
Started for school
I started using this to read one of my most coveted magazines that were not really found in stores. Azure Magazine. Well I found other digital magazines in its shelves and decided to download it back in 2011 when I discovered it. Right when iPad was introduced and I was enrolling in school after that. Well it stuck with me for a while then pattered out now I’m back on it catching up on things. Thanks.
Awesome
Great variety of things to choose with wonderful offers to tempt you for more
Doesn’t open on iPad
All software is current and yet the Zinio app won’t open. Tapping the app icon just opens as a flash up and immediately dissipates.
Problems solved
Updated review problems solved
Doesn’t work with IPad Pro
I’ve tried to use this with my iPad Pro and it simply doesn’t work- it crashes every single time and while I can use it on my very old iPad- I find it odd it won’t let me use it on my iPad
Have to Delete ZINIO Newsstand App and reinstall to get library to open on my IPad
Then I have to download each magazine to have it available in my library to read. Have contacted ZINIO support and the above was their solution. The app is updated to the latest soft ware version. Have been a subscriber for the last 17 years without this problem. Have to down grade to 3 star rating from a consistent 5 star level until ZINIO comes up with a solution.
Hola de Españareseña
Es mi revista favorita gracias
Doesn’t work on iPad
I’m running iPadOS 26.1 and this app closes immediately upon opening. This developer isn’t responsive nor are they even trying to fix the app!
sale ordering
The only 2 problems I have ever had with Zinio is when they post an email stating that there is a discount or sale, the magazines that I already have subscriptions to won’t let me pick them. I have to call Zinio, and then get a discount code, but always less than the add promised. Somehow, auto renewal was activated without clear notification at the time of subscription. I will say, that once I got hold of Zinio, they quickly refunded the charges.
Open Sesame!
This app worked great for years. For the last several months, every time I click on it there is nothing but a white screen with a never ending loading indicator. A daily delete app, reload, and sign in are required. Please help! I’m sharing this same information that I sent several months ago. It got better for a short while, and I was going to update my response to a positive one. Oops. It’s broken again!
Text view keeps dropping
Works well when it does—but the Text view is repeatedly lost (converts to a PDF-like view), and restored only by deleting and reinstalling the app.
Marvelous!
Great information!
Will not load homepage or library
The app used to work well. But for the last two months, all that I get is a white screen that never loads either the homepage or my library magazines. I keep the app updated and my iPad has the latest updates.
Magazines not displaying correctly
Since the latest update some magazines, but not all, are not displaying correctly, they just display as a black screen, I hope this is fixable.
Inconsistent access to library using iPad
Completely updated app and os, but magazines never open properly in the app. I have no issues in a browser or on the Android app. This one I have to reinstall every time I get a new issue. Clearing the cache is useless.
Quilts & More Stopped Abruptly
Why can’t I access further copies?
Love the variety you can download
This App is so easy and quick to download and start using. The variety of content is great. Prices are excellent
依托答便
打都打不开，什么垃圾软件
Struggle to open without network
Great app, but struggles to open when not connected to a network. Other than that, the app is very good.
App fails to open.
Most of the time app will not open. Uninstalling and re installing fixes it temporarily until the next time you open the app.
How to unsubscribe on an iPad
I use Zinio on my iPad. It is excellent for reading magazines, and the text and images are very nicely rendered. However, having subscribed to a few magazines I wondered how to unsubscribe. There appears to be no way to do so on the iPad itself. On the zinio website it fails to recognize my email and / or send me an email with a new password. So does that mean I am stuck with these publications until my credit card runs out of date? So. I would recommend being a little wary.
Digital Magazines
Great replacement for Amazon.
Don’t subscribe!!!
Don’t use this app. They make it impossible to cancel a subscription. Every other subscription service through iTunes is super easy to cancel a subscription, but not on ZINIO. Ridiculous! The ZINIO subscription doesn’t even show under my iTunes account even though the billing is through iTunes. Save yourself a nightmare and don’t use this app for magazines.
Likely the best eZine store
I have tried many eZine platforms, not all. Zinio is the only one I keep using consistently. Highly recommended.
Workee Wonkee
I have subscribed for several years now and it worked at first. I enjoy reading mags on my phone in the am with my first cup of coffee. However, I have had several crashes where no magazines show up. The only fix that seems to work is to uninstall and reinstall it. Today, it will not show the latest issues of my subscribed magazines. It is very annoying crawling through a list of fixes when this is supposed to be something enjoyable.
Glitchy
Often has downloading issues, but is an ok app.
App Keeps Crashing
I updated to new version and now app keeps crashing a few seconds after start up!!!! Please fix this is so annoying!love all my magazines
Can’t pick up where you left off, have to see the marketing screen every time
Deal killer to have to see the marketing screen every time I come back to read. I’m going back to analog. So much more joy in reading real media.
Good app…
Great app. Smooth, great content. Just ignore advertised “discounts” and watch for auto-renewal of subscriptions.
Can’t seem to buy issues.
Can’t buy individual issues, only subscriptions.
Still buggy
Potentially great subscription app let down by ongoing issues trying to connect to the internet. I can have other apps going and online while tjis one keeps saying it’s offline and there are issues with the connection.
Easy, well worth the minimal cost, Enjoy!
You can pick and choose issues you’d love to read, and leave others behind. There’s SO much to choose from! Why not customize a year of magazines (6 or more) from various publications, instead of buying issues you won’t read? Variety beats boring every time!
App keeps crashing when I try to open
On your latest update, 4.71… when I open the app, it immediately crashes.
Easy to use , good prices
Generally good value price reductions for subscriptions and single magazine purchases.
Everything you could ever want to read !
But very slow down loads
Disappointed
I have enjoyed my magazines but now due to financial changes I need to cancel both. I cannot find the spot to cancel subscription, I keep coming to a brick wall for the last 2 weeks. Annoyed.
