I’m super proud to be an FNB user. The banking App is absolutely user friendly and I’ve never seen it act up.
Forex Payments Are Needlessly Difficult
The FNB app generally works well, but Global Payments/Forex is extremely frustrating. Today a simple USD supplier payment took me from 07:30 until 11:52 to complete. I repeatedly encountered confusing BoP requirements and validation errors and eventually had to phone FNB Forex. The payment could only be completed with a consultant’s intervention. I have experienced problems with this section for about 18 months and very little appears to have improved. Please redesign Global Payments so ordinary business customers can make an international payment without spending hours troubleshooting or calling FNB.

Good App, Small Bug:
When transferring between accounts, loans’ nicknames and their owed balance doesn’t show up, so you can’t see which account is which.
Slow
Using this app is frustrating. It takes forever to do transactions, it is always reloading
Ebucks function is faulty
Request cannot be processed. Try again later… I’ve been trying for weeks. Every time I click ebucks it’s not available. This is supposed to be a benefit to customers. But there’s always a reason why I can’t use my benefit. Fix your app please.

To the developer Please stop screwing around with the app. What did you do with my recipients. The complete list is gone. You took a perfectley working app and made it unusable.
Account visibility
Remove that whole unnecessary process when make an account visible, it’s a waste of time
User friendliness
The app is very klunkly and most of the time it's difficult to get the info you need. 3 steps need to be taken to complete a simple task where it could be one step. Most info or tasks are also in places that make no sense. Streamline comes to mind when I think what the app needs
Poor UX
Navigating the mobile app menu architecture is hard and there are so many options to search through. Did a web designer work on this app? Please have a look at UK Big 4 banking app menus for inspiration 🫶🙏

App update
I got the notification that I need to update the app, which I did. However, each and every time I am using the app, I am still getting the notification that I need to update and when I proceed it takes me to the App Store which only says open.

Improve security features, one can view my APP messages with no password required.

Lovely app but notifications aren’t deleting correctly. If you clear them or delete them, they still appear as badge number and inside the app.

May be the reason I stop banking here
I just want to access simple account actions and views, but then I have to swim through 'Trending!' And 'Just For You!' screens every single time. Why do we have popup ads in a supposedly secure banking app? Highly unprofessional. App is generally a bad experience and slow. Someone non-technical running the show there

This app has always worked on my IPad but it’s now refusing to work,it says it needs iOS 14.0 or later.It asked me to dowload the older version which I did but now I can’t use it.Everytime I try to open it,it refuses and tells me to update it but it won’t update

Scrolling on a statement is difficult. Every so often it jumps back to current. Please fix this glitch

Call end randomly, secure chat don’t work!
I’m thoroughly disappointed in the app. When i talk to an agent through a call, it gets disconnected randomly. Out of nowhere! When i try calling again, same thing happens. Secure chat doesn’t work at all | when i click secure chat, it just loads non stop. Then crashes. Mind you I’ve updated the app. And my network connection is well | excellent in fact!

Bad user experience. It goes backwards with every update
Is anyone even testing all your features before a new release? I cant even accept a foreign payment. Takes me through all the steps then stuck at the last bit. I accept t&c but it keeps taking me back to previous screens. Every time you update your app, there are more clicks to get to where I want to be. Your secure chat also has a horrible customer experience with constant system notifications in it, missing messages, very buggy, and frequent disconnections!

Basically many good features but many are hidden in obscure places . Not always intuitive and wastes time. Poor web design!!!

My most frustrating week
I have spent my entire cell phone voice minutes trying to deal with an international travel snafu. The phone system keeps on sending me to the App which cannot solve my problem. I do not wish to use the App for anything. I am not part of the “thumb” generation. I wish to speak to a person or be able to type on a keyboard- anything else just wastes my time. The last time previously I had a conversation with the BOT if told me wrong information and I needed to pay for an FNB service for an extra month. I do not trust what the BOTs tell me - like the LLMs they hallucinate and I’m the person who foots the bill - there is no accountability on the behalf of FNB. I am not a happy customer

I’m working on a iphone13 and the app is very slow. The FNB talk repeats itself. The app loads in and kicks me out again.
Investments not working
Krugerrand prices have not been updated in the app since the 2 Feb so it is impossible to see actual information

I no longer get sound notifications.
I no longer get sound notifications on FNB app. All other apps works but not FNB. What happened? I only know there is a notification when I look at my iPhone. Please fix as it’s crucial to respond quickly to issues if it arises on my bank account.
Slow from overseas
I don’t live in SA however still have FNB bank account. This app is getting slower and slower to use while not in SA.

Terrible customer service and amateur UX and UI
FNB chat customer service agents are absolutely useless, cheeky and unprofessional. Furthermore, I don’t think any of the UX and UI designers have any training in what they do, because they break every rule in the book, making it almost impossible for people that are not computer savvy to navigate basic actions.
