Easy to navigate & good returns
I’ve been using EasyEquities for years now & I’m very happy with its performance, customer service & easy to navigate website. I recommend it highly!
Faulty app
when I login it says my email address and password is wrong, when you put a new email address or password same story
App icon support dark mode
Please make the icon change it’s background color from white to black when in iphone with dark mode icons
App freeze when I try to allocate funds
disappointing considering this is a core functionality
Small amounts
When will we be able to convert small amounts that are below R 1 so we can collect all the small amounts together and reinvest it
App review
I lost my funds , I was able to recover it 30 minutes after sending a query. It was quicker than I expected , shoutout to Nicole Granger for coming through
Downward trend
Assuming that AI is being used more and more, the downward ternd of the UI is just getting bad, it is evident by new features shipped without being tested, the graph on the home screen is now fully unusable on mobile for horizontal marker movements. Pretty soon nothing will work, we'll just have to export the statements and build our own graphs
It's good but I wish it was as responsive as their desktop app.
App's just mainly meant to work better on desktop - not that you can't do everything om the mobile version, it's just better optimized for desktop and therefore I gave it 4 instead of 5
Can’t register
First if it tells me I already have an account but never get the password email I requested many times. Then it says my surname doesn’t match my id….. as if I can’t spell my own surname. Come on gush ur getting the basics wrong.

Latest version is worst to date
Functionality has worsened. The app is slower; often non-responsive requiring it to be closed and reopened repeatedly. Transactions don’t execute at times, which is frustrating. Customer service remains dismal, which is bizarre considering growth in the EE business.
Can’t register
I’ve downloaded the app, but it does not allow me to register an account. It simply shows a blank page.

The app resets and clears all your account data

VPN
The app doesn’t work with my Nordvpn. I need to switch off the vpn and my wifi to open the app. Please note, I am specifically using the vpn to secure my data.

This app is not native and the load times are terrible , the team should look at that in future to improve the overall experience
Trading app
The server is often down before markets open, placing orders at different levels impossible, the system automatically adjust your entry with an average instead of having multiple orders of the same instrument. App needs improvement
Biometrics
Please add biometric login. There’s no way Im going to always remember my password and you know exactly why lol. Also please get experienced UX testers to make sure everything makes sense and works.
Easy Way to Invest
From my experience EasyEquities has made investing feel straightforward and accessible. I find the app convenient to manage both local and international investment in one place.
Delayed withdrawals
I don’t like that withdrawals take over 5 days when other institutions take 2 days, & you claim it’s the law.
I no longer trust EasyEquities
My trust in Easy Equities has completely eroded. The app is buggy, and recurring purchases don’t seem to work reliably. The percentage growth feature broke a long time ago and, despite reporting it, it’s never been fixed. I wouldn’t recommend using Easy Equities. There’s clear potential, but I no longer trust them with my money. If they can’t get basic calculations right, it raises serious concerns about trusting them with larger sums. I’d consider moving my money elsewhere, but I made the mistake of investing in EasyProperties, and now I feel stuck due to their Thrive structure.
Not bad, could do with upgrade
Dynamic text would be a nice upgrade, only app I have to go find glasses for, on IPad. Also why only a monthly share movement option in watchlist?
Superb experience
Learning about investing on EasyEquities has been an awesome journey for me and my kids
Admin poor
Too much to detail here but having been an easy to use platform over the years which I have been pleased with they have now shown that they are incapable of arranging my new bank to be verified. They send me emails and ask for docs and when they reply it’s a “NO REPLY” address. I have managed to send them some docs- several times but they don’t listen and it feels as though there are various people not talking to each other. I will not be putting any further funds into this company and will be liquidating my stock in my own time. It’s so sad that Easy Equity is destroying itself through bad management. 👎
Poor performance
I loaded this app with great expectations only to fall flat on my face with disappointment. The app is so very slow to load, sometimes I only get a blank screen or rotate to the “car building” routine so many times before anything is revealed. There are far too many clicks and menus to find information that should easily be available to would be investors like asset price, past performance, NAV, AUM etc. It does have some good features like “compare” which is handy but then the display screen has all these “undefined” labels which is sloppy. I am desperately searching for an alternative but for now I’m stuck. Come on developers, this online brokerage has the ability to go so far but your app is letting it down.

Registration
I can’t register my account it keeps loading for a long time And it won’t open
Not good
Ok so funding, buying, trading etc is all fine. When I tried to withdraw money, it never got to my account, took support forever to reply and then they told me "your bank account doesn't support accepting international currencies" even though I was withdrawing AUD into my AUD account.

Money lost
You cannot talk to a person. The helpline is a bot. Support requests get’s ignored. Not even poor support - no support. Now been more than a month not being helped. You don’t get past the bot.
Pretty poor
Firstly, this is just web views in an app shell. Most of the time i land on an error page, the classic 404, none of my logged tickets get answered. Since the new “redesign” things have only been worse. Im a long time customer and pretty disappointed to see things getting worse. The cheap development and UX is blatant. Get better expertise cause this is not it.
One major downside for me
I love this app. As the name suggests, it’s very easy to navigate. The only downside for me, which is a major one, is that it doesn't allow non South African citizens to do inter app transfers into the EasyEquities USD account.

5 stars if they improve the UI of the app. It is very slow and seems like it was built in a juvenile manner.

What happened to this app. You never know when it will open or not the last 2 - 3 Weeks?
Good and bad
It’s Low fees and simple lay out make it nice and easy to use. Good for those new to investing like myself. BUT it’s has lots of bugs and it prevents you from logging in while they are fixing the bug and this has happened far to regularly recently. Hopefully that’s just because it is relatively new and will get better soon.
