For me a greatful, intuitiv Banking App, Perfekt. Also the Support and my Banker is very helpful. A clear recommondation!
Using push notifications for ads in a banking app is not okay
This should be a banking app. Sending me ads or trying to sell me via push notifications is a bug no no for a banking app. Can’t just turn them off as it will compromise the security on my account… Very poor ABSA.
Phone app
1). Should be able to see transactions without having to download a statement
IPad Version???
Please make the app universal again. It doesn't look very good in portrait mode and scaled up. The old app was better in this respect. New version is better with fingerprint login and looking nice with the background images.
Worst Banking App
Because I don’t want to update my iPhone X software the app will not allow me to verify / accept the request to link my phone. I’ve used the same phone for 4 year. It’s not the first time that I’ve had trouble with this app. Each time it is ‚improved‘ it’s the same story. At the Point of closing my account and moving money elsewhere as if I update the software I may have trouble with other banking or apps and we know that in the past Apple were accused of making phones run slower with software updates. VERY BAD DEVELOPMENT TEAM ABSA. I’ve wasted an hour on the phone with you technical team to no avail….. VERY UNHAPPY !

6.6.4 can’t open in Mainland China
Hi, ABSA team. After upgraded to latest 6.6.4, can not open the App in Mainland China even can not accept or reject the verification from App. Please fix the bug ASAP. make those ppl who has business trip in Mainland China extremely disappointed and inconvenient!!!
Slow. No iPad version
The app is pretty slow, feels more like a webapp. There’s no iPad version even though all of the Barclays versions of the app have one (made by ABSA). If you’re making multiple transactions from the same account, the account balance is not updated unless you return to the home screen, super annoying.
Rand AND CENTS??
On my iPhone 6s the ‘comma’ button doesn’t respond (is inactive/greyed out). Because of this flaw in the app I can’t make payments/transfers which includes cents as well. So an amount of R1234,45 is not possible. I have to either round up the amount to R1235 or do my payments on a laptop/desktop pc in order to include cents. It’s pretty frustrating. Hope the problem gets fixed soon.
Can't enter surecheck code
On the screen where I am supposed to enter the surecheck code there is no field.
