Junk!!!
Junk with a capital J! Trying to locate useful customer service at Agoda is about as easy as removing gallbladder stones through your rectum. I had several properties contact me after I booked to tell me the room wasn’t actually available. This is especially awesome to find out when you’ve already landed at your destination. Agado offered me credit or a gift for my stress and anxiety. One property simply never sent me check-in instructions. It took almost THREE HOURS dealing with customer service—once I finally figured out how to get an actual phone number and speak to a human being. They did refund that transaction, so cheers to Agoda for at least getting that one right. Then I booked another rental at the exact same property. Shortly afterward, the owner called me and said it never should have been listed because the unit was already occupied. Needless to say, at this point I’m about to snap. And God forbid you make a mistake with your booking dates—or the app is nice enough to change the dates for you. Kiss that money goodbye, even if you notice the mistake five seconds after booking. The hotel tells you Agoda has to make the change. Agoda tells you the hotel has to make the change. I finally got an email telling me to F off and eat the costs. Don’t bother with email support either. It’ll be a cold day in hell before you get a useful response. They collect their commission, and apparently that’s where the relationship ends. Stick with Airbnb! I’d suggest Booking.com too, but unfortunately they own Agoda-trash.

Complaint about cancellation without my knowledge
I find it very lacking in service. They had confirmed my reservation and the hotel has also sent me confirmation letters and then 5 days later, 1 day before the reservation date, they sent a cancellation email, stating that they had a problem with my payment method. If they had an error processing, they should immediately let me know rather than 1 day before the reservation. Sending an email doesn’t justify it.
Problem with Booking domestic flights
When booking domestic flights in Viet Nam, it always requires passport number. If we don’t have passport, how could we do in these cases? Thnx.

お気に入りの❤️マークの使い方が変わった。複数の宿泊施設を比較するのに便利だったし、良かった施設や気になる施設を記録しておくのに便利だったのに今は勝手に旅行日程にのみ紐付けして使いづらい。元に戻して欲しい。使いづらい。また、地図が便利だったのでアゴダ贔屓だったのですが、スマホ画面で表示される面積が減って見づらいし操作しづらい。元に戻して欲しい。使いづらい。じゃらんの地図の方が使いやすい。ユーザーの意見吸い上げてますか？

I’ve been a loyal customer for Agoda for years never in my life have I had an issue and Agoda double booked me thru the app. I was never sent a confirmation and when I looked back it stated that I had 2 rooms for the same hotel. I spoke to Agoda and told them they said to get a cancellation request from the hotel free of charge and I did. I sent the info like they asked and they end up canceling another hotel that had free cancellation for a trip I had booked. For 2 weeks I’ve been trying to resolve this and they saw I had 2 rooms for the same hotel and because they’re incompetent to understand they cancelled another hotel. Awful customer service they still don’t understand. I’m never using them again they’re horrible and made it seem like it was my fault. Agoda sucks

This app always has the nicest hotels and the most amazing prices !
BEWARE
Used to work fine but now there are bugs galore that will end up costing you if you don’t triple check every move. I was able to recreate one issue over and over again. Customer Service is non existent — for bookings or just app functionality. ALSO They say you can make changes to your bookings online but I have never once in ten years of using this platform been able to do that. The one time I got an actual person to talk to years ago - it was the same. They can’t make any changes - after all the trouble and expense of placing the call in the first place. Even with all the promotions and coupons you get, the final cost of your hotel room is usually the same as any other site - the numbers they show you and the discounts are random and for show, just to keep you thinking you are getting a deal. Too late now to stop using until after my trip since already made many bookings.

Do not book flights here
Never book a flight with this app. The cancellation fees total more than the ticket and includes taxes. To change a flight, it takes an arm and a leg. The phone number does not work. Someone will eventually call you from India but it will show a NY area code, and again say more fees will be due for changes. DO NOT USE this app for flights.

Can’t zoom in and out to see the detail in map
In former version, we could see the detail of the hotel in the map. It’s so convenient! But…what’s the reason for removing it?
I booked a room for today a week ago and it got cancelled today
Honestly Agoda is almost impossible to reach, I can’t get a response nor in contact with customer support because the AI just ends the call. I did t even get a refund on the room I booked and never got to use due it being cancelled and overbooked. I don’t understand how I was able to pay for a booked room.

Upon a recent software update, it what was hopefully someone’s onetime career-ending lapse in judgement, taste, and general decency, Agoda decided that the personal space of my phone’s Home Screen is an appropriate place to plug their “Mega Sale”. This, unfortunately, signals the end of my relationship with Agoda after many years of use.
Add Self-Service Options to Update Phone Number and Email
I suggest adding a self-service option for users to update their linked phone numbers and email addresses. Phone numbers and email addresses can become unavailable due to changing countries, switching carriers, losing prepaid numbers, or no longer using an old email account. Currently, users have to contact customer support for manual changes, which can be inconvenient. Allowing users to securely update their account information after verification would improve user experience and reduce customer support workload. Thank you for considering this feedback.

Amazing
I was searching for a nice hotel to stay in on December and every other site or app had ridiculous prices, this one allowed me to book a better room than I expected at an even lower price and I love the flexibility options to book now and pay later closer to our stay. 10/10 would recommend.
"Improved" to the point of dysfunction.
I used to find agoda useful. But now they added this new feature where it shows properties where you must change room mid stay, and might even have you going from a non smoking room to a smoking room. You cant see this awful inconvenience till you are at the room selection stage, wasting your time. This "feature" is on by default and for the life of me I can't figure out how to eliminate it. This makes looking for a property miserable and has me searching on competitors. Further they are always promoting some sale, but the prices are the same as anywhere else. 🤷♂️

홍콩을 가려고 항공권과 숙박을 같이하면 싼것 같이 나와서 같이 검색을 해서 보니 실제로 따로 예약 결제하는것이 훨씬 쌌음

7月初透過Agoda 安排國內旅遊 已經透過旅行社Klook再發包其他旅行業者。後來旅行業者臨時取消。但是Adoda 持續收費。 電郵 電話客服 都沒有服務 其他人還敢持續使用 這個服務商嗎？ ……聯絡了好幾天 終於有人回覆了 …..
Overall decent app but their customer service help is awful
Overall, I enjoy Agoda but their customer help / chat line is awful. You will spend 1-2 hours chatting with an agent who replies to you once every 5-10 minutes (if you’re lucky). Most of the time they can’t resolve your issues and basically send an email to the property for which you have to wait 48 hours for reply. Even then you most likely not get a reply and have to follow up again and waste more hours of your time. Also, the filters could be improved. Even when I select hotel as a filter, I often get hostels and backpack her type accommodations. Also, it would be nice to be able to filter when selecting for two guests to only show rooms that have a single bed. Also on two occasions I have booked a hotel only to get an email a few minutes later canceling because someone else booked it before me. Lastly… it would be useful if hotels were required to provide information such as the size of the room, if there is a view/window and also if the bed is soft or firm. I also find too much clutter with all the coupons and deals but when I go to them, they are often not available or expired.

Sends spammy notifications after opt-out
The app continues to send notifications of promos and sales even though I’ve opted out of all categories except messages from hotels. It also now changes its app icon to shove promos even more in your face.
Fabulous!
As a senior citizen, I was able to navigate easily. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that I didn’t always understand the difference between the rates for the same room.
