DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY — TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE
I strongly advise against booking with this company. I paid almost €200 for two Versailles tickets that should have cost less than €60 in total. When I arrived at Versailles, I could not find the tour guide and nobody answered my WhatsApp messages. Their website clearly said that I could download my ticket, so I did — but at the entrance, the staff told me that the ticket was not valid for entry. I eventually found a tour guide from a later tour, who told me there was nothing he could do because the actual tickets were supposedly with the guide from my original tour — a guide I had never been able to contact. So I paid almost €200 and could not use the tickets. What is even worse is that the company provided no proper customer support and refused to refund my money. This was an extremely frustrating experience. Do not waste your money with this company.
Not easy to use when traveling
Love the actual bookings, but when I need to login to actually get my tickets or information needed about my booking, it’s a wild maze to get into the app. I have lost a travel guide because the information was not provided via email…and being in a remote location trying to log in to contact the tour operator (because the information was not provided in the actual emailed information) meant I had to find a completely different mode of transport for a party of 14. Please find a better way to login or gather information to account for times when travelers WiFi and connectivity isn’t great.

Why have an app??
Booked a tour 3 months ago for a birthday gift for my husband. It’s now time to go on the tour, and every time I tried to view my reservation or pay for tickets on the app, I got an “Oops! Something went wrong” message. Finally figured out I could only access it from my Mac. Had to delete the app from my iPhone before using the link in the email from Viator to pay for and get my tickets.
So easy
A great app for managing all your tours and bookings. Information is easily accessible and you receive regular updates and reminders of your trips. Made my travels that much easier to manage. A very simple app to use. In most cases there is no price difference from what you would pay at the door.
Dishonest dealing
Previous booked tour thru Viatour was cancelled at the last minute after charging my credit card so had to rebook and the price is now half as much. What the heck??
Got scammed
We bought Colosseum tickets months prior to our trip. They send a message to go to a meeting point. We go to the meeting point and it’s a locked garage door. We tried to contact the guide, no answer. We call customer support and they can’t reach the guide either. Thankfully, customer support said they will refund it, but it’s still disappointing.
World Travels made easy
I’ve used Viator tours in Paris, Florence, Cannes and Bali. Every tour/activity has been fantastic. From our tour of the Eiffel Tower to early entry to see David, the app is easy to use and I’ve been very happy. I’ve recommended the app to everyone I know traveling.
They charged me on a credit card that I never added to my profile
I dont know how they did it but they charged me on a credit card that I never added to the app for a cancelled reservation. I made a reservation with the credit card on my profile but it was expired so the reservation was canceled by the app automatically (and I can dk nothing about it). But yesterday I just found out that they charged me on another credit card that I never used or added to Viator for that canceled reservation which became “past” now. I dont know how they found the other credit card and charged me for a cancelled reservation by them. This is fraud!

They are terrible and incompetent. We booked a tour for our family, they took our money but didn’t include my kid in the booking. So there weren’t enough tickets for us to tour the place we traveled thousands of miles to see. An unbelievable letdown. They gave us a partial refund though. To add insult to injury. Get your guides with a good company!
