Paid nearly twice as much as the tickets cost. This is borderline fraudulent IMO. Don’t fall for this game.

Good app

I don’t understand if you’re traveling solo why does it always book a seat in a 4 group area! Why should i be facing other travelers on. 5-6 hours journey! Very inconvenient

Oh how I wish I found this app earlier. Booking is so easy in English, and I had such problems trying to do this previously at rail stations. Duh! I’m amazed.

This App doesn’t work

Their booking service online is great but this App that they ask you to download doesn’t work. It asks for the email address you used to book your first trip and says it’s sent an email with 5 digit security number to log in but nothing arrives, even after asking for them to resend it.

Ripoff merchants

They mark up the prices by 270% and try to justify it by brushing off any complaints with a standard AI response about ticket prices, taxes, service fees and whatever the price of fish is in the high seas. They are not a serious private ticket company but an extortionate pricing company. I can teach you a thing or two about customer service. 1. Do not justify your prices with a shabby excuse under the guise of taxes, etc. 2. An apology is always a helpful way to start any conversation when you are rippingoff a paying customer. 3. Your company’s reputation is worth more than making a few hundred dollars. 4. Great customer service is priceless, even if you ripoff your paying customer. Update: I am glad that I was able to get a more positive response from the customer team who were responsive to my compliant and offered a partial refund. I appreciate the concern and the effective communication from the team. Thank you.

Too expensive

It’s very easy to navigate and comfortable to use but tickets are way more expensive than on other apps. To cancel not confirmed reservations, they charge a fee of 20% of the ticket price.

— Eno_m

★★★☆☆ United States · v3.0.4 · 1 May 2026

Works great but overly expensive

Was easy to buy tickets and everything was incredibly smooth. The ticket counter price was about $8 USD while we paid $35 USD. I don’t mind paying for the smooth process but almost 5x the actual cost is just gouging people. I will only use in the future as a last resort

What a scam - avoid

Booked a trip from Dublin to Belfast, the return leg couldn't be ticketed so Rail Ninja cancelled, with no obvious options for updated return times. The ai chatbot is useless in terms of offering a solution, and kept insisting I had return tickets, which were not booked. On top of this they charge 2.5x the cost of booking directly. This "service" may be convenient for some but awful interface, poor booking experience and useless AI support would suggest dealing with two different apps or railway booking sites is a far better option for most.

Buyer Beware- South Korea Train Tickets

This app might be a good tool to browse different train options/departures to Seoul/Busan, however I’d discourage you from using it, and instead purchasing from the ticket counter at the station. After spending $117.68 AUD for a one way ticket, and feeling like this was unreasonably expensive, my concerns were confirmed when the ticket issued stated its value at 58,000won (~$66 AUD). I went to the ticket counter to purchase my return ticket with no issue for the actual amount (58,000won) instead of the completely over-inflated cost charged by Rail Ninja. The claim made by Rail Ninja in response to other customer’s similar reviews that their banks may have charged them international transaction fees, in my case would be false since my card has 0 international transaction fees. Shop with caution.

DO NOT BUY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE

This website merely buys tix with a huge mark up. Worse, they do not inform you of changes!! We are currently in Berlin, they neglected to tell us that we have to take a bus to Frankfurt departing 2 hours earlier than scheduled due to construction. And the bus is located in a remote (ie away from Hbf) location. We just happened to discover this pre-scouting route etc to Hbf, from helpful train employees. Dangerous and expensive? Buy direct! I am not even confidant we have firm tickets…..

Only for solo travelers

Found out the hard way that they don’t get you tickets seated together when you buy more than one seat. And after they send you the tickets and you find out, they will not cancel or refund the tickets. Their support will not help you and all they say is “we try to get seats together” … this service is horrible unless you are a solo traveler. Not to mention if you see the difference between what they charge you and the actual price of the tickets. It’s a big markup for a subpar service.

SCAM: Avoid Rail Ninja at all costs!!!

I mistakenly booked my train tickets through Rail Ninja because I believed they were an official reseller for Spanish train tickets. That was an expensive mistake. After receiving my tickets, I discovered that Rail Ninja had simply purchased the tickets from Spain’s national railway operator, Renfe, and forwarded them to me by email. The official price printed on each ticket was €51.50, yet Rail Ninja charged me €95 per ticket—nearly double the actual price. The difference was labeled as a “processing fee,” despite the fact that they provided no meaningful additional service beyond emailing me the tickets. When I contacted customer support and asked to cancel the transaction after realizing the excessive markup, they refused to help or offer any refund. My experience left me feeling completely misled. In my opinion, Rail Ninja’s website makes it easy to assume you are booking through an official or authorized ticket provider, when in reality you are paying an enormous premium for a service you can get directly from Renfe for much less. I would never use Rail Ninja again, and I strongly recommend that others avoid this company. Always compare prices with the official railway website before booking. Otherwise, you may end up paying almost twice the real ticket price for nothing more than an emailed ticket.
