Stuck in infinite loop / bug
Signed up, but when logging in I get stuck wait and waiting for it to complete. (5-10 min of watching the “spinner”). And, app is completely worthless without logging in, so…
Gute App
Es wäre hilfreich, wenn man in der Übersicht der vergangenen Flüge die Uhrzeit des Abflugs und der Ankunft sehen könnte. Ansonsten funktioniert alles gut.
Error
Ich habe viele Versuche braucht und bis zu zwei Tage, bis ich überhaupt mich einloggen konnte! Meine Buchung war nicht automatisch hinzugefügt. Diese musste ich dann auch noch hinzufügen. Des Weiteren Last sich mein Reisedokument nicht hochladen. Ständig bekomme ich Irro Meldungen. Egal ob ich buchen will Reise hinzufügen möchte oder Reisedokumente hinzufügen will - Error

I flew from Vienna to Washington DC today. Austrian airline crew was professional. Flight attend attendance for friendly and attentive, and the food was very good.
Terrible App
This app was already bad - I was constantly having to re-enter information previously input multiple times. Now it won’t even let me login. I just get an error message and coding garble. If I didn’t live in Austria, I would not fly this airline again.
Nothing works
Uploading travel document should be easiest thing ever and do it automatically from picture in app is nightmare. Always errors and complications

Leider ist die Flugsuche in der App furchtbar. Es ist immer wieder erforderlich, die eingegebene Suchanfrage zu löschen um neue Verbindungen zu suchen. Oftmals findet das System nichts obwohl es einen Flug zu dieser Zeit gibt…. IT Abteilung sollte zur Schulung bei anderen Fluglinien… Ich buche häufig Flüge…. Am seltensten über AUA …. zu mühsam und veraltetes System…. Ohne Worte….
Gut, aber nicht zeitgemäß
An sich ist die App toll, aber sie funktioniert keider nicht mit VPN. Die App zeigt auch nicht an, dass der VPN das Problem ist. Außerdem kann man sich nicht mit Face ID einloggen, sondern man braucht Google Authenticator oÄ für die 2-Faktor-Authentifizierung. Dass der Lufthansa Konzern diese Dinge im Jahr 2026 nicht auf die Reihe bekommt, ist echt ein Witz.

Worst app ever
You can’t just download the app and use it for individual bookings that you make you have to become a member or subscribe to some third-party identification website. It’s just Austrian ridiculousness.

Seit dem letzten update einfach nu unterirdisch. Chech-in funktioniert nicht, Sitzplatz auswahl nur stellenweise, Upgrade einfach gar nicht. Generell seeeewhr langsam. Das war schon mal besser

Alle Infos sind im Prinzip vorhanden. Buchen extrem langsam, sehr negative Customer Experience. Menüfuhrung verwirrend. Check-in oftmals nicht möglich.
No Apple Wallet Boarding Passes
Austrian Airlines needs to come in to the 21st Century. Boarding passes from this app are delivered as a pdf. They should have an option to add to Apple Wallet. Even budget airlines have this option, so why doesn’t a national carrier? Once you’ve downloaded the pdf you can’t view the boarding passes on the app again. It tells you to go to check in desk. Other than that the app is ok to use

The app is easy to navigate even when booking for someone else. The real time gate updates are beneficial if you have a tight connection.

Verschlechterung
Seitdem vor einiger Zeit die App neugestaltet wurde, ist die App sehr träge. Weiters wird einem mitgeteilt, dass Zahlung nicht funktioniert hat, obwohl alles funktioniert hat. Will man seine Daten ändern, braucht man jetzt ständige irgendwelche Codes. Sehr mühsam, wenn Flug über Reisebüro gebucht wurde und man eventuell Upgrade oder auch nur Sitze zu einem Flug auswählen möchte. Die Customer Experience lässt mehr als zu wünschen übrig, das hat früher alles viel schneller und einfacher funktioniert!!!!
Notifications
I was disappointed the app didn’t send notifications on departure and gate changes. Also, boarding pass in my Wallet didn’t update with active information of changes.

Makes you register, no functionality without
One of the most useless airline apps out there. No guest check in, nothing, they want to force you to create an account. Without one you won’t even see flight status. Deleted it and use web site. Stupid app.

This is my first time on business in this airline . I was surprised at the service, timeliness and food. Exceeded expectations on all three.

Very annoying that nearly each time I logg in, I need to do an update, if not I cannot use the app. And if no internet access no update, no ticket, no .... Would be great if that would be considered in the next update or being able to use the app without update

Latest version crashes on boot
The latest version of the app (I have updated today) always crashes on launch after showing the splash screen. The app is unusable. Rebooting the phone doesn’t help. All other apps work fine. Does this app have a QA team? 🙁

Really bad app
To use the app you have to have their “travel id” i’ve been trying to make a travel id for 2 hours. It refuses to advance past their consent to communication page. Kind of stuck in a hole, can’t use the app.

This app is horrible. I’ve been trying for months to get it fixed. There’s no customer service support at all. Very frustrating.
No QR code?
My app claimed I had boarding passes issued but there was no QR code on the pass so I still needed paper passes.
Vague error while Managing Booking
Obviously a rebranded Lufthansa Airlines app. (They are part of the Lufthansa Group after all) Attempted to add my Passport, Green Card and Known Traveller Number via Manage Booking prior to check-in. Initially it complained about missing a Date of Birth field. Turns out you have to complete the Date of Birth field *before* enabling the Advanced Document Details otherwise it complains that the date of birth hasn’t been filled in. Then you fill out your Passport and attempt to add your Green Card and Known Traveler Number documents BUT results in “ 2 errors Please check the information below: Sorry, this flexibility is not supported. Please refine your search criteria. Sorry, something went wrong. If the problem persists please contact our service center for more information.” After check-in had opened, I was able to upload my documents and check-in via the Lufthansa Airlines app! Use the patent company’s app - I recommend giving this rebranded app a miss.
Improvement needed
The app is very complete but the booking engine needs to be improved as I couldn't be able to book a flight with a stopover in VIE (ex: LIN-OTP)

App is very poorly designed. Tried to check-in my return flight from JFK to Vienna via Zurich. App required me to enter an entry document for Switzerland. The only options are: Visa / Residence permit / I have no other documents. I have a EU passport and am therefore allowed to enter Switzerland. However, indicating that you have an EU passport is not an option. My passport info was already in the system since it was a return flight! The app still asked me to check in at the airport. What's the point of the app?Austrian should ask your money back from whoever designed this app.
