Friendly App
I am pleased with the app’s functionality. The process of purchasing tickets through this app is remarkably straightforward. I didn’t encounter any difficulty while purchasing two round trip tickets. I would highly recommend this app .
Useful app. Yet another AI slop service
Booking ferries through here works well, but pray you dont need support. This is yet another app forcing you to argue with a useless chatbot just to get a basic question answered (and of course the bot is useless and incompetent). Id rate this 5 stars if there wasnt a forced AI support feature, but I refuse to rate anything above 1 star when customer service is reduced to a useless cost reduction in place of interest of customer wellbeing slop service. If you need customer support you will not get it. You will get a virtual moron and be expected to like it.
App ist ganz ok.
App funktioniert gut und ist übersichtlich gestaltet. SMS Benachrichtigung ist absolut unnötig. Diese Option würde ich kein weiteres Mal dazubuchen. Bei einem der beiden Häfen in dem wir waren (Ayvalik) muss trotz digitalem QR Code noch ein physisches Papier Ticket ausgedruckt werden. Dazu kommt eine Hafen Service Gebühr die von jedem Gast entrichtet werden muss, diese Info habe ich leider nirgendwo bei der Buchung gefunden. Das wäre noch hilfreich gewesen.
Paid for flexible ticket… would not let me modify
I paid the fee to be able to modify my ticket, but the system would not let me modify. The AI chat asked me to wait for a rep (on several times), then sent me to an email. I never heard back from anyone.
Add changes. IMPORTANT!
You still don’t have discounts for Greek citizen seniors and their pension does not cover you’re tourist prices. You have to be considered and respect your elders.

This app is very easy to use and I love that it keeps all trip past and present information all together
Dropped off to wrong port
Booked a direct ferry ride from Salerno Italy to Praiano Italy. Got there on time show the ticket to attendant and got on the ferry. Ferry skipped Praiano and dropped me off at Positano. Ferry attendant just told us to take a bus which we walked up hill 20 minutes just to see a packed bus with no room. We ended up taking a taxi which was 70 Euro per person. I reached out to ferry hopper but still only AI response with no human reaching back to us.

Flex ticket is
Polite AI but not helpful. Want to change time of departure and they’ve said twice on 2 occasions someone would get back to us live and they have not. In a perpetual loop with same canned answers for 4 days.
Good app - slow customer service
Even though the app is good, all other aspects of ferry booking are more difficult compared to classic travel agents at ports

Update - this response from them is absurd. It’s like they think that when they get busy they don’t have to fulfill the contract they have. When I asked for a refund because they didn’t change my ticket under the flexible terms, they invented some requirement for me to mail them a receipt for the ferry I didn’t take and wanted me to somehow prove I bought a different ferry ticket. They are just total scam artists. They know they need to refund it but act like there’s all these hoops to go through to do it. I’m reporting them to the credit card company for fraud to get my money back. Every response from them is as bad as the day I tried to change my flexible ticket. Don’t bother with this app it’s total fraud. You are better to book directly with the different ferry lines. I bought the flexible pass option to be able to change my departure time and SURPRISE - when you go to change it the app makes you chat with a bot and then some sort of agent who says “sorry I can’t help you” and tells you someone will get in touch with you via email… this of course happens hours later after you needed to change your ticket. I’m filing a fraud refund request from my credit card company. Ferryhopper is not a legitimate app or business.
Impressive with small issues
Great app, does what it is supposed to do. I suggest they check more their error handling: I made a reservation, my card was charged and the transaction was never completed. This might be confusing for non tech people who will think they have tickets (while they don’t). I never got a notification or even an email that the booking was not successful. Furthermore, when you use the app to store tour tickets, it’s inconvenient to force you to update the app when you need it immediately, i.e. when you are at the port.
Watch your ticket selection closely.
I booked tickets on a ferry to the Greek islands. I was encouraged to purchase in advance to ride together. Somehow even though I was booking our tickets together in the same transaction we ended up in different classes of service and were unable to sit together. Very frustrating way to celebrate an anniversary. If the app had promoted me that I was booking tickets that were opposite classes or that we were not sitting together I would have fixed it. The app also sent me to a dock on the wrong side of a large port. Dragging luggage half a mile to catch a ferry was not an enjoyable chore.
Needs a map
Needs a map to see possible connections from a departure port. The same feature with a chosen arrival port would be great too, to see from where one can get to their destination. Trying to plan a trip and having to put in every different island to see possible connections is a pain, especially when many ferries are overnight which I’m trying to avoid.

This is much easier than other ferry websites and can offer flexibility when available
Scam. Just book at the port
App doesn’t update with critical information. I missed my flight out of Greece because Ferryhopper didn’t update that the ferry had cancelled. I could have booked a different solution but instead waited for an hour past the departure time because the app said the ferry was “running late”… and by then it was too late catch a different ferry. Instead I had to buy another ticket at the port and reroute to Athens. Weeks later still going in circles with a low response customer support team for a refund.
Great easy app
Very easy to use. One drawback which might just be my mistake is that I couldn't figure out how to change a ride to a later time. I thought I had paid extra for being able to change the time of a reservation coming back from capri.
Customer support won't open
Just got the app. Found my trip. Clicked customer support-won't open. Clicked FAQ-won't open. Not much help.
No map
An app like this is useful, but it needs an interactive map showing all possible connections. Otherwise the user not familiar with all available ports and their names gets quickly lost.
Outstandingly user-friendly app.
All applications should be this easy to use. Excellent design.
Don’t make any changes
If you need to make simple changes to your reservation this is not the app for you. A simple round trip change to upgrade seats will charge you the entire fare three times and refund you twice. It is ridiculous
Ferry Helpful
May 2026 - I found the app helpful for the E tickets - There were changes made to to the departure times the E tickets were updated in the app a few days after receiving text messages from the ferry company Blue Star before departures - It would be useful to add the departure gate number to the E ticket. Yes you can book tickets through the app and also the Ferryhopper website for more content if you prefer to yet it is perfectly aligned with this app - I would recommend registering with seasmiles for discount of ferryhopper bookings - when aboard the ferry visit a seasmiles loyalty card machine to print out your membership card for discount off onboard refreshments
Ferry added with no notification
Wanted to go from Aegina to Poros. Checked lots of times. Nothing. Now, it shows one. Very frustrating. Already made other plans.
Limited access
Hi! I tried to create an account so I can fully benefit of your app features. However, there are only 3 ways of creating an account, which are limitative in my case. My recommendation is to step up, adapt, and be more inclusive. At least with the email options. Plus, I don’t want to share all my social or cloud data with any company. Thank you for your attention to the matter!
Complete picture
It aggregates all options of ferries going from one place to another instead of just one ferry company. Also it shows which is available online which is not. You made my life easier. Thanks.
Almost ruined honeymoon
We used this forsaken app in Athens. First time here, fresh off a flight, can’t understand what’s happening but trying our best. Supposed to take the ferry from Athens to Paros and this stupid app has the “find your ferry” option. So easy for travelers right? WRONG. We ended up at a ferry gate that was a 25 min walk away from the one we were supposed to be at. The port is HUGE and we had to run with our suitcases because the only taxis there were ones to pick people up coming off of ferries. We had to run that entire distance, ended up on the ferry covered in sweat, crying, and not being able to breath because it was also 90 degrees outside. AND not for nothing, ferry hopper could not figure out where we were on the way back and had us “delayed” by SIX hours when you could see clearly on the map that we were close to the port.

Functional and clutter free, could implement liquid glass
Flex pass not worth it
Aspects of the app are useful. However be aware that the Flexi pass has fine print language that makes it difficult to utilize. We bought our tickets the day before to Capri and wanted flexibility on when we returned and you can’t change on the app if within 4 hours.
Fine one way, WORST seats return trip!
This crApp assigned us the two absolute WORST seats possible (facing two other people with zero leg room). There were plenty of other seats available so ni have no idea why it would have stuck us with the chum of the choices. We booked them 2 1/2 months ahead of time so it’s not like they couldn’t have warned us or - hey better yet! - given us better seats! Fine for actually buying the tickets and didn’t use any other features. A generous 3 stars.

Terrible
Ferryhopper is terrible, horrible. They scam you for money. They have fake customer service. First it was Ai, then it was someone who gave me 3 different stories about my refund. The app is misleading. They don’t honor their word, their refund policies, and they lie on review responses publicly. They lied PUBLICLY stating they refunded me 50% when they didn’t refund me at all and didn’t allow me to cancel when I tried during the proper time. They have now stopped responding completely. I have not gotten refunded until this day. They flagged my review so it would get taken down but it wasn’t taken down because I didn’t slander. Take a taxi or swim but don’t trust this company.
Very good app - Customer service needs improvement
The app is excellent all the way to the point of booking tickets for the first time. If things have to change the app and the customer service team cannot handle many ordinary and edge cases. I hope this gets fixed; otherwise it incentivizes users to go back to the old method of booking through travel agents.
The App wasn’t good
Booking through FerryHopper was easy and good; that was the positive but (!) the app did not show (at all any of) the details of our booking nor the tickets. Their advice was update the app; I did that and it made no difference ?

Things that haven’t worked: Ferry location Downloading tickets AI chat when there is issues Can’t choose seats What has worked: Selling me a ticket I had to pay 2 euros each to print my tickets from the ferry company. This despite a having bought on the app.

You are going to need ferry options if you’re traveling the Greek islands. You’ll love this app to manage it.
Barely a ticket broker
Beware! Ferryhopper will tell you that all they do is provide ticketing service. Fine. But even in this they are a total failure. Our ferry was first rescheduled with a different company and then canceled. I tried for 24 hours to get any assistance from them. Nothing. Their chat feature is an AI ruse that ultimately does nothing except say they will send you an email that never comes. DO NOT USE! UPDATE: They did none of what they said could be done. I did ask for an agent but when one didn’t come on the AI told me I’d get an email. And I did send them an email. I did not get ANY acknowledgment from Ferryhopper that the ferry company had canceled until it was almost too late to book alternative travel. And they left it to me to find that alternative travel.
Feedback
The buying and delivery of tickets works really well. Do not believe the live tracking of your ferry.
Requires access to personal information
I considered switching to ferryhopper, but discovered that it won’t create an account to save data if I don’t agree to give them access to a social media or Google account. Hard pass for me.

Great for Croatia - has all the ferry lines
This app was fantastic for Croatia ferries to the islands because it has ALL the ferry lines from one port to the next port in departure time order, and gives arrival times too. It also shows the prices up front, and from what I can tell charges the same price as going to the individual ferry line websites. Buying a ticket took just two minutes — I bought two tickets while running for a ferry!
Cancellation
Our ferry was cancelled and never got a email or notice. Had to rebook on a different ferry company and wait a 1 1/2 hrs.
Navigation zum Fährhafen stimmt nicht.
Die Ferryhopper-App funktioniert grundsätzlich super und ist sehr logisch aufgebaut. Auch die angezeigten Preise waren in Ordnung. Was uns jedoch sehr gestört hat, war die fehlerhafte Navigation zur Boardingstelle des Fährhafens. Die App hat uns zu einer völlig falschen Stelle im Hafen geleitet. Da wir kein Italienisch sprechen, mussten wir schließlich einem Taxi folgen, das uns zum korrekten Boardingpunkt der Fährgesellschaft gebracht hat. Kosten: 45€ Die Taxifahrer Messinas freuen sich!
Log in error!
I use Face-ID on the app to access but no profile to be seen unless you login, takes you to choose Google / Apple / Facebook to which NONE of them apply to my email account that I created. It should have ‘Add email’ in the login for different email address. I booked the ferry without login and successfully received my booking confirmation (the email address I created on the profile account). So I’m UNABLE to login with my existing email address but can access ‘My trips’ via Face ID ??? I don’t want to use Google / Apple / Facebook to login.
Log in issues
Don’t have an Apple, google or Facebook account so can’t use the Ferryhopper app as you need one of those to log on to the app. Seems odd that you can’t log on with a straightforward email address.
Making It Easy
I’m be used Ferryhopper for years and it always makes island hopping super easy. I highly recommend.
Customer service for changing tickets was non-existent.
We needed to change ferries from Split to Hvar, and had paid for the flexible tickets and also the extra customer service. The customer service was non-existent. AI answered questions and said that a human would have to help us. No human ever stepped in. We ultimately bought a second set of ferry tickets directly from the ferry company.

Très pratique pour réserver les billets. En revanche lors de notre embarquement plusieurs ferry étaient présent et nous avons dû retourner au guichet d’achat pour connaître l’emplacement de notre ferry car il n’y avait le numéro de bateau sur le ticket. Sinon cela fait gagner beaucoup de temps et évite les problèmes de barrière de langue
Sent to the wrong port
This app has worked okay, it has very limited information about your ferry and no information about its location other than a map. On my last booking I went to the port it told me my ferry was departing from an hour in advance and turns out the ferry was in the opposite part of town and I missed it and lost all my money. Would not recommend
Used to be great, but…
After the latest update, I no longer seem to be able to log in with my email and password. Instead, it demands my Google/Apple/Facebook details. Shame, as the app itself is excellent
