What people like
- Works well with background music
- Simple design does the job
- Great for boxing or HIIT
What they complain about
- Forced subscription angers past buyers
- App crashes and freezes often
- Rounds must all be same length
Good life
Great app love it a lot make me organize my workouts sessions and motivate me thanks
Paid to subscription
Went from paid to subscription. Terrible
Only 6 presets!
As a VERY basic app, it does the job. As a paid app I thought it would do more. To only have 6 presets is shocking. Why limit the number? I use it for personal use and also helping out at my kickboxing club. I need nearly a dozen. Why can’t users add as many as they like. I have to keep changing presets each week. Not very user friendly. Also limited on the timer. I need to add 30 seconds then a minute then 30 seconds then a minute. The time for each round has to be the same. Great basic, 6 presets app, but could be better.
Can’t get it to quit repeating the same song no matter the mode
I’m having trouble getting the workout dj to quit repeating the same song. It was working fine a few weeks ago and is not moving from the first song regardless if I have it on Keep Playing”, “Resume”, or shuffle. Can somebody help me fix this?
Free option gone?
I’ve used this app for years, but now when I try to start my workout, it automatically jumps to the free trial screen. as long as I’ve had the app I could hit “not now” and then start my workout. I’m not interested in upgrading to the pro version, so if the free version is not an option any longer, I will delete the app.
Years of Fun
Have used this app for 12/13 years. Have been a must for boxing and for HiiT training. You can set rounds as intervals and also have presets as boxing rounds. Worth every penny.
Deceptive company
I purchased the “pro” version of this app when it was a one time purchase. I’m fine with the app going to subscription based for any new comers, but when you sell something as a pay once and it’s yours then change the deal it smacks of a real lack of integrity and there are too many other options.
Review
Good but v rarely updated. PAUSE would be great for example
Upgrade
App works then try’s to force u to upgrade after buying it and won’t let you use the timer having the same pop up screen pop up on repeat
Please fix
I really liked use this boxing timer but now it won’t let me use the free version and every time I try to start the clock it opens a pop up showing the paid version please fix this issue
BEST TIMER
Best overall workout timer I have used yet!
Greedy app went subscription based
I bought this app years ago I believe it was about 4 dollars and it was good to me and very useful and now they decided to have ago pro mode where I have to pay monthly to use the rounds
Good app
Good app does the job
Peux mieux faire
Application efficace, mais bug de temps en temps ce qui pose parfois problème
Bug zu viel
Ich war eigentlich sehr zufrieden mit der App aber seit 2 Jahre kommt öfter die Meldung für Update und die App ist dann nicht nutzbar
All you need
I’ve been using this app since 2016. It does the trick. Not extra, just right.
Subscription for a timer?
This app used to be great. But greed as made it useless. Subscription models have gotten out of hand. Could be a $5 app and 5 stars, unfortunately now it’s just junk. Plenty of other HIIT timers completely free.
Couple more options would be nice
Good boxing timer. I’d like to be able to name my sets though. Might have missed it but I can’t seem to do that presently.
Great timer not worth the money
Ive had this timeer for years, I paid for it when it came out. My phone automatically updated all my apps the other day and now they’re asking for 12.99$ for a timer….
Great app but can’t connect to Bluetooth device
Great app but can’t connect to Bluetooth device
Perfection
This app is the iPhone of timers. It’s perfect, simple, sleek, and it doesn’t interrupt your music.
Subscription Money Grab, Don’t Upgrade!!
This was one of the better timer apps out there. There was always room for improvement such as being able to set specific times for certain rounds and other customizations for workouts that are not necessarily traditional boxing rounds but since it is a “boxing timer,” I didn’t complain because I don’t believe there are any boxing timers out there that can do such a thing. I was excited to see that they finally had an update for this app but I am sure glad that I have automatic updates turned off just for this exact reason: “upgrading,” so they can make you pay a yearly subscription. Thanks for leaving the paid users holding the heavy bag!
Err !
Great timer but I've had to delete it and reinstall a few times. It freezes and then your timing nothing. Fix that and it's the best !!
No longer works
I used to love the app. Recently put it back on my phone but won’t properly load on anymore. Just sits on screen can’t open. Tried taking it off and on several times. Really disappointed
Keeps crashing
Love this app. It's perfect apart from the fact that a big white box appears on the screen and disables the app. What is that? When it works it's five stars
Money!
Great boxing simulation workout!
Was a great before subscription
I purchased this app years ago and I loved it, and used it often but since I lost all the features because of this new subscription service I don’t even look at it, found another one that was similar to this one when it was an app you paid for once, the other app is a little more difficult to use but don’t have to deal with pop-ups. subscriptions are ruining everything.
Good
Just like the timer in the Gym but you can take this anywhere and add music to your rounds and rest period. It warns you when to start and last 10 secs in the round.
Poor sound reliability
Sounds keeps conking out
Crashes
It's a great app when it works but every time I go to use it it works for about 3 rounds then crashes having to then delete it and re install every day. It screws up my training. Sort this issue out and it will be 5 stars
Best bang for the $$
For 9.99 a year this is a great app. Sometimes the sound doesn’t work and the app needs restarted, but compared to a $300 wall timer this is a win.
Lifetime -> subscription
I bought this app years ago for a few dollars and even paid for it again when I switched to IPhone. But now they have switched the model from a LTD to a subscription of $10/year without any real improvements.
Boxing Timer
Nice timer it's good but still room for improvement. I would like to see added time section for the last 30sec or whatever time till end of round that I choose,as coach I would really like to see this extra time section added. Thank you Barry F-R
Prefer old version
New version has so many settings yet they have removed the option to soften the volume in the rest period. Have kept my old iPod to retain this feature which I need.
Frustrated
I use this app all the time, but lately it keeps freezing and I am constantly having to delete it and re-download. Please fix!!
App is a joke
Paid for lifetime version of this years ago. Now the app won’t even let me start a timer without the ad popping up to get me to pay a yearly fee for something I’ve already paid for.
I feel cheated
Was working perfectly. It said I needed to subscribe. And asked to re up every year. Very frustrating. No support division either just a faq.
Boxing Rounds
Great product use it to train in park with other Dads, purchased IPhone speaker to make portable and effective.
闪退
闪退，闪退，闪退，怎么弄？？？麻烦给我解决
A little buggy
It worked for a couple of days but now it freezes after 1 session and ipod is up to date
Love it!!!
Bro free year and no adds what more do you want.
Wasted my money
I purchased the paid version of this app years ago, before the subscription model was introduced. Now my premium access has been removed, and I’m being asked to pay for a subscription.
Nearly Perfect
Well thought out and designed for basic regular intervals and rest periods. Best in the market for this. Would be even better if you could vary length of individual rounds and rest periods rather than have them all the same length.
Review
Always freezes for me and requires me to redownload the app.
Doesn't work with IOS8
Stopped working with IOS8! Otherwise was great!
Augustthebully
This app is so awesome! I can workout at high level because of this app.
Don’t get, Scam
Free timer doesn’t work every button links to buying premium and you can’t use the app
Cool app
Very good app, had no problems with it
Ok
Like it but now frozen
