What people like
- Simple and no-nonsense design
- Highly customizable for workouts
- Great for boxing training
What they complain about
- Ads interrupt you constantly
- Timer stops when screen locks
- Music pauses during round changes
- Support never actually helps
Exactly….
…what I was looking for. Simple and effective.
Boxing is a great
Boxing is a great sport
I would like more alarms other than the traditional boxing tone
Overall, near perfect apps. Just needs more tones other than a traditional boxing timer.
Ads
There’s ads on iPhone but not android
Title
Too many ads
Great app
I like how customizable it is versus other apps. I use it all the time!
Garbage
Garbage app. Doesn’t let you exit the timer set up without closing the app entirely.
No background option
Does not play in background or with any other app interruptions
Why I don’t use boxing timer often
Unable to change settings such as round duration, rest time, warnings, etc
Good timer, one problem
Good timer, uncontactable customer service. The timer will not run if you switch windows to another app. Needs to be corrected.
Great app!
Works really great. Very happy! Thank you!
Not able to use properly
Ads make it hard to focus on the workout and interrupt the timer
Diego
Great app
Ads and pop ups
Within 15 seconds there was a popup saying my iPhone had a virus. The adverts at bottom of screen were pornographic.
Probably the best, but still needs improvement.
This is definitely the most popular app, everyone I know at my gym uses it. However, it’s still pretty frustrating that it doesn’t work in the background. If my phone screen locks or I open another app during the rest period, the timer stops. I recently paid for the pro version, hoping this flaw would be resolved. It wasn’t. The $4 was definitely worth it to get rid of advertisements though. A great app and very useful, just hoping the developer can fix the background capability.
Love
In love with
SCAM
It charges you $3.99 then an additional 27.99 without your knowledge!!!
Works great other than pausing itself
I use this for running and want to lock my screen. This caused the timer to pause. Or if I go to my music app to choose something it pauses. Fix that and it’s worth 5 stars!
Great except for one fatal flaw.
Works great as long as the app is open and your screen is on. I can’t use it as an interval timer with my phone in my pocket because it will pause the count. Super annoying.
Needs to run in background.
Great app but between rounds if I try to change a song or answer a text, it stops until I open the app again.
Champion Level
Best app there is. No other option for future champs to use.
Horrible
Worst timer app ever. I don’t recommend it at all.
Buena
Tiene muchos anuncios.
Adds are frustrating
It has full screen adds that are hard to close and they pop up every time you are trying to do something with the app.
Cant play music and lock iPhone
It is very customizable, but I paid for it and is not possible to lock screen and that app still run in the background. I wanted to use it just with my AirPods.
Review from me
Fantastic app use it everyday
Don’t don’t waste your money
Initially, I thought this app was awesome. I’m not a boxer, but it helped me lock in on my workouts. Problem is the app constantly froze closed out on me and God forbid you step away from the app or your phone locks Because everything freezes… so I decided to purchase the app thinking that things would get better and for four dollars all you get is your ability to set profiles, which takes two seconds to change timer settings still freezes after purchasing it closes out randomly on me not worth the four dollars I asked for a refund
Good, but…
There is no bell at the end of the last round. The developers really need to fix this. However, the rest of the app is fine.
App stops music from playing
The timer function is great, and I like being able to customize rounds for each workout I’m doing. That said, the app pauses/stops any music from playing any time it chimes for a round change, or warning chime before round changes. It’s extremely frustrating to have to stop my workout every single round to restart Spotify or whatever other music app I’m using.
Timer stops if you leave the app
Which is really annoying
Boxing interval timer
Is everything I want in a Boxing Timer? I’m so glad I have it on my phone. I could train for the big fight anytime with my boxing interval timer.
New update ruined
For whatever reason, after the most recent update it continues to pause my music every 30-60 seconds. Has nothing to do with round alerts or anything my Spotify just stops.
Great tool
It is a great tool. I’d like a little more flexibility in the times.
Font size
The “round” should be in a larger font. It was larger in previous versions.
No way to have this work as background…
Apart from that it’s a pretty good app
Phenomenal
This app is a game changer
Always stops when working out
I tried using the app. If you are training intervals and you bump the screen, shake the phone, or put the phone down or god forbid in your pocket—It pauses, or stops, or starts spamming you commercials for a Nisan Rogue. Is it really that hard to have a boxing timer that does its thing without interference?
great if you buy premium
It's simple & functional. What would be nice, is if the timer keeps running when the phone is on standby.
Too many ads
The ads really interfere with this app. It’s a shame as it’s a good timer but you can’t avoid pressing on an ad and leaving the app in the middle of a workout.
Locked phone
This app works fine but its too low and it doesn’t work when my phone is locked. I want to have it on when I'm in the gym but the screen has to be unlocked and that’s annoying not to mention draining to the battery. Or when I'm shadowing my pocket gets hot because the screen is on and i have my headphones on. Please make it usable when the phone is locked Thank u Mo
The best and free
It’s the best timer because it is no-nonsense and no fluff. All you need is the basics to get to work. Perfect 👍
all an upsell
this app is basically a bad timer with poor UX that stuffs upsell opportunities and ads down your throat
Boxing app
It’s simple and easy to use. Doesn’t collect any data (or so it claims) but the ads! There’s just too many. Every time you change something, an add. They don’t intrude into the workouts but they’re irksome, especially the ones you can’t dismiss straight away.
Average
Loads of ads at the worst timing and lack of freedom to pick/choose the right workout time/ round plan to suit the individual
Great app but needs some updates
The app works really well for boxing and circuit training. The major let down with this is that the timer will not continue in the background. That’s very frustrating as I have some routines written down in my notes and cannot reference them whilst using the timer. Please add this feature! It would also be better if the voice/sounds could be louder as it can be difficult to hear when playing music in the background.
Gym
I set it up for 3 rounds and do an ab workout and it’s perfect for me. I paid for the premium. Thank you creator.
Annoying
Need to stop the timer? Get forced to watch an ad. Interrupts the flow. Annoying. Want to tell me to pay to make it go away? I’d rather pay for a different app that doesn’t make me do this.
Nickel
Version gratuite parfaite pour ce dont j’ai besoin. Pas mal de pub mais c’est pas grave
Doesn’t work in the background
The app works fine if it’s the only thing open on your phone. If you need it to work in the background, it doesn’t do that at all. Which renders it pretty useless for me.
Fine (when app is open)
This is fine... provided you keep the app open and the screen active. Locking the phone or changing the active app pauses the timer. Not great if you’re trying to sync the timer to music.
