Easy to use and nice to get walking directions. Great info about each stop and many stops in many cities! Well worth the price!
Didn’t work in Europe
Bought before my multi country trip to Europe. I downloaded all of the city walks ahead of time. Then when I was in the city, I pulled up the walk. And it didn’t work, kept saying the map file was incomplete, would download a file and then got same error. Requested a refund.
Excellent App
Really useful app, we used it in the Baltic and Berlin. The walks were easy to navigate and the information helpful. It was a great way to safe space in our luggage
Nonsense
Mostly fluff and silliness. Very little actual history and valuable information for the intelligent tourist. Wasted money.
Good when it works
Reasonable walking tours that give adequate descriptions. However, the app very frequently “forgets” that you are signed in to a paid account, which greatly restricts usability. (Requires signing out and then back in, which doesn’t always work) Very annoying

Great Guide
This app is so helpful in planning a walking tour. We found the information for the sights helpful and informative. We liked being able to add our own spots too (like our hotel) so we could see distances and plan accordingly. The gps guide is also helpful. The only issue we had was when we changed directions away from the original map it did not recalculate. The directions were not always direct.

Not sure what it is for other cities but the Marrakech one was nothing more than Wiki common information in a metallic computer voice. Not worth much. Then again it isn’t expensive. Soon, I am sure, someone will make one with AI.

Die App ist hilfreich, aber wenn Gwld dafür ausgegeben hätte, hätte ich mich schon geärgert. Die Wynwood Tour in Miami war leider nicht aktuell und es fehlten rund ein Drittel der beschriebenen Punkte
Great walking tours
I have used the app in a couple of cities and it has nice walks and great information about the local sights.
Not impressed
Was really hoping this app worked - I expected it to give verbal routing instructions to the next sight on the route and to start the audio automatically for the sight when you arrive. It did neither! This is the response I got from them: “We don't force users to strictly follow the route or listen to audio; people are different and want freedom “
Nice but Feedback Doesn’t work
The Feedback option doesn’t work or I would report this there. It opens a blank email but doesn’t address it to an email address. What I want to report is that the directions to Royal Palace in Casablanca do not take you to the royal palace gate that is pictured.
Patchy
Sometimes this worked, and the walks were ok. But it kept logging me out and sometimes jammed in the middle of a walk. We ended up abandoning it because it was too unreliable.

Am I missing something? There are a handful of tours for London. I tried the Shakespeare one. The text is “read” by a cheap voice synthesizer. I might as well have my phone read Wikipedia to me. I don’t plan to renew.

We have used this app all over the world and found that the ~2 hour walks are great introductions to a new city.

Great for anyone doing a self guided tour of a city
Great app for guiding you around a new city. Lots of helpful details about sights and the walking guide as to how to get to all the important and main places in a city is really useful. Great for those on a budget who can’t afford expensive bus tours as this allows you to be your own tour guide!
Prague
This app has a lot of great info, but don’t trust it actually work off line. I have paid for a years subscription for maps and articles and numerous times when I have tried to use the map function when I am offline it continually asks me to sign up for a 3 day trail. Therefore map function no longer works. Come back hotel log onto internet it works. Log off internet and try to use map function it works. Leave hotel and try again to use map function and it won’t work. Once again I am using google maps offline. Which only gives directions if driving and I am on foot. Yes I know data is cheap in Europe and once I get a SIM card I will see if this app works any better but the point it is suppose to work off line in airplane mode and it doesn’t consistently.
Buggy
The app doesn’t let me add a custom location. I’ve tried both methods: use the plus sign (nowhere on the screen) or use the map (long tap doesn’t work)
Great city travel app
I have used this App in Asia, South America, Europe and the USA. I never leave home without it!
Free Trial Automatically Converts to Paid Version
Tried the free trial and it automatically charged me for a full year at the completion of the trial without any warning.
Useful for short city breaks
We downloaded the app for use during a cruise, with multiple short stops at various cities. We found it informative and accurate. The walking tours are a great way of exploring the ‘must see’ parts of a city with a short timescale, without the expense of using organised excursions or tourist buses. Will definitely continue to use in future. Also very useful for UK cities if exploring closer to home.
The audio commentary was awful
I subscribed for a year and used it on numerous occasions, but just could not put up with the awful commentary. Apart from that, it was quite good would resubscribe if it was an improved commentary.

Love this app
This is my go-to app when we travel, whether we’re on our own or with a group tour. I’m pleased to find both large and small towns throughout Europe in the app. We use it both for advance planning and for on the ground guided walks. It’s significantly enhanced our travel experiences.
Not what I expected
I wanted to do a walking tour of Tarragona, Spain with my family. However, there are many places of historic and cultural significance that were not available to add to existing ‘walks’. The two I was trying to add were the Mediterranean Balcony that is less than 500 feet from the Roman amphitheater; and the Roman Aqueduct, which is about few miles from the other ruins but is very much a part of the historical ruins of the Roman era. I would like a refund, but I am like one day past the 3 day free trial.
New York tour
Used the GPSMyCity for a recent trip to New York. It was great in so far it provided tours of the various areas of Manhattan and took me to sights I would not have found otherwise. I’m giving it 4 stars as sometimes the map wasn’t quite accurate and I had to use google maps to get back on track. That being said I would use it again on another trip.
Problem
Signed up for the 3 day trial today but keeps telling me I need to ‘Sign up for Free trial’ … clicking on restore does not work

Spontaneous adventure
Wonderful to walk around a city and visit important sites, listening to history and discovering a city at the spur of a moment in between flights or train rides.
No map without subscription
It forces you to download local maps data, and then says you can only view the maps if you use the paid subscription. Another example of an app misleading the users. I’ll attempt to report this gross and shameful attempt of robbery via the App Store officials, in an effort for Apple to enforce some standards. It feels like the App Store is becoming the new Wild West, full of cons and snake oil. Perhaps the developer will amend the app or be explicitly clearer in the imitate description, so save others from the same fate. Don’t download if of your low on battery or concerned about the amount of network data it will consume. As this will take a lot of it.

There is no excuse for the clunky writing and abundant typos (e.g. “it’s” for “its”) in this app, now that AI is available. Developer: type “Edit this: [your content]” into ChatGPT, and you’ll massively improve the user experience.
Good idea, needs work
Maybe it's because I have an iPhone 3GS, but it sometimes gets stuck loading, etc... I like the idea of having maps and guides without having to be connected. Hope it improves in the future.

Great App
We used this app in the port of Suva, Fiji. After being told our visit would be underwhelming, we had a wonderful day. The app guided us to many interesting spots around the city. When you arrive at a location it has an audio guide that clearly explains to you everything you are seeing, just like having a local guide with you in person. And the walking directions are very easy to follow. We are looking forward to using this app again on our trip to Japan next year.

Great orientation walks
As a backpacker I used the orientation walks in many cities, Asia and Europe. They are the perfect introduction into big cities for me. Maps are sometimes not intuitive to handle.
Definitely not Lonely Planet.
Tried it for three days free. Brussels wasn’t bad but London sucked. Cancelled it on day two. The advice is amateurish, the software is clunky. Could have been good but it isn’t.

Mediterranean GPSmycity
We did a 21 day cruise and used the GPSmycity app as our tour guide. It was excellent we enjoyed putting our earbuds in and being guided by the map to all the best places we decided to go. The descriptions and information given was interesting and informative. We recommend this as app. We enjoyed it.
Google ad ruins it
I tried to use the app and google chrome ads pop ups would not let me me continue

No search and power hungry
There is no search facility to find an attraction or even see what’s around you. The items on each walk are not connected in a tour. The app burns the battery fast. Wasted purchase as the paid version did not provide additional benefit that google could not do better

Good app, helped me when I was travelling. Just one negative point, when you switch to other app and after ruturn to this app starts from the home page again.
