Avoid at all cost
Terrible app and company. Gave 5 stars so this won’t get buried. Chargers never work. Customer service nonexistent. Still on hold after 20 minutes. They can make sure $50 comes out but they can’t make sure their chargers work. Screen on the actual charger is useless, App is just as useless. Got sent multiple codes but for whatever reason they just didn’t work. Charger cuts off immediately after taking your $50. Find any other charger I cannot say that enough unless you want to be out of $50 for who knows how long and stranded.
Hard to use
Looking at the new map hurts. I cannot figure out these filters for the life of me. I will not be using ChargePoint until they fix this.
Betaling?
In de app wordt alleen de optie creditcard aangeboden als betaalwijze. Apple Pay of Paypal, worden wel op de website genoemd als optie maar dus niet in de app. Update De ontwikkelaar heeft snel gereageerd op deze recensie en zal dit aanpassen. Alvast sterretje erbij.

Used the app twice now and had some issues. 1st Issue is that I could not use Apple Pay to pay for my charge session. I was able to add Chargepoint to my Apple wallet for Tap to Charge but when I tried to use it gave me an error that I needed to place a payment option into the app. It then popped up the credit card info screen. I looked online at it said I needed to choose Apple Pay as my payment method but there was no option for me to do so. So instead I placed my Apple Card information into the Credit Card info screen just to get it to work. I’m missing out on the Apple Pay rewards benefits due to this. 2. Used it at another Chargepoint charge and the Tap to Charge gave me an error message. In this case I had no choice but to go into the app on my phone and find it on the map and start the charge from there. Why did tap to pay work at one place and not another? 3. I was able to review my receipt earlier in the same day now suddenly I’m greeted with a screen saying I’m not authorized to view it. I’ve logged off the app and logged back in. Still saying I can’t view it. Waited about 30 min after first seeing the errors and suddenly I can view the receipts. Not too sure what is going on there. Besides those things that have happened with me I was able to charge at least. So I’m happy with that. Please fix the payment issues if there is one. Thank you

The route planner option does not add charging stations along the route. Would also be nice if this worked with CarPlay
Slow, buggy app overhaul
They seem to have revamped the app and they made it frustratingly slow and buggy as a result. More than once now the app freezes on launch. More than once it makes me log in rather than using Face ID or maintaining a long term session. It also doesn’t appear to use Apple native UI standards, making password entry difficult. It must be one of those garbage cross-platform frameworks that amount to a least common denominator terrible user experience on any given platform. Way to go ChargePoint. You’ve ruined your iOS app in the name of saving a buck.
Works great, but
I ordered the RFID card, wit the card it works. But i still does not work with apple wallet. Could you please check this?
App is decent long holds
5 days later and a transaction is still pending with over $40 taken from my account that shouldn’t be. Any other charge station or app releases back instantly or within few days. Beware!!!!
Grossly underestimated mileage
This app underestimates my KIA 2025 EV6 GT-line AWD mileage by a hefty 10%. On top of that, it offers no way to fine tune the car consumption baseline.
Best charge app in The Netherlands
I’ve tried many charge apps and this is the best so far.
So buggy after updates
App Store worse after the updates always log you out. Doesn’t load properly hangs all the time.
Please make a widget for favorite chargers

Not a Good App
Honestly when I first downloaded the app everything was fine I would pay get a 50 dollar hold then it would automatically fix it’s self to the correct amount after but now i have 4 50$ payments pending nd its been 4 days and this just doesn’t make sense this app steals money and I will definitely not recommend it unless you want this dang app taking your money💯.
Shows information
Shows everything on the summary you don’t care about while not showing the actual energy delivered. Why do I have to go to a monthly statement to see per charge energy? Why is this not on the main summary screen so I can see it without clicks?
Ich verstehe die negativen Bewertungen nicht
Bei mir werden für einen Tag genau 5€ geblockt und diese verschwinden von selbst wieder wenn ich beispielsweise keinen Lade Vorgang gestartet habe. Getestet an einer ChargePoint Ladestation. :-) Ich bin zufrieden!

Bad app, bad customer support
Only reason it is getting 2 stars and not 1 is because it has a few free chargers (at least it used to for me). I’ve had two situations where someone was charging just fine and I got on the charger right after them. I get “card read error” (no network) and I can’t charge. I called support after both times and they weren’t very helpful (they seem to be in India too). Submitting an issue in the app is broken so that’s not even an option. Status in app can be inaccurate too. The widget isn’t very helpful (I should be able to see a couple favorite chargers in widget - with correct status). Just an app that needs a compete redesign and fix. Update: still pretty broken. Incorrect status for chargers, can’t submit a problem in app, can’t submit a picture in app,….. good luck getting good help from the company

Does not load on iPad..keeps logging you out once you log in. Works fine on IPhone.

App makes a lot of errors
The app was fine a few months back, but they recently made an update over the summer and the app is now making a lot of mistakes. Frequently logging me out when I’m on the waitlist. Giving me an error alert when I try to reserve a spot. Showing me I reserved a spot but when I go it’s another persons spot.
Werkt nu goed
Ik heb deze pas naast Shell en gebruik welke het goedkoopste is. Wel onprettig is dat je krediet moet aanhouden. Verder regelmatig goedkoper en de interface werkt nu beter.
Poor road trip functions
It works for my home charger. However, it is useless when on the road looking for a charger while on a long distance drive. Example: I’m driving from San Francisco to LA. I open the ChargePoint app to find charging stations. It shows either nothing, or chargers back in San Francisco, or stations several hundred miles away. If I pull over, and check EVGO, it shows nearby ChargePoint chargers. When on trips, I need to find chargers in the direction I’m heading.
Status
Used to confirm when you stopped a charger but after the recent updates, it doesn’t. “stop session” button always shows and it doesn’t confirm whether it actually stopped the charger.
Good app
Worked well for me. On boarding was very good. Love that they have Apple Wallet card. So many other providers are posting out cards that you loose within a few weeks!
Sign in monthly
Invariably I have to re sign in every month when I’m in the middle of using the app. Drives me nuts
Easy to use, prices good
Search option, filter, map, are good. Using the card is super quick and easy. Monthly invoices are perfect for the accounting. Prices only slightly higher than direct payment on charge maps. Payment with automatic credit is strange.
The New UX
Is a visual downgrade, where the written address of the station is less prominent than it used to be. Switching away for a while.
Mostly works but 7.0 doesn’t feel like an iOS app
I used to enjoy the app because it felt right. The 7.0 update mostly works but appears to be a cross-platform rewrite and has lost all its iOS-ness. It also introduces some issues, like sheets that appear underneath the tab bar, the trends graph only shows 4 bars, and the UI in general follows no grid. Sad.

Frustrating beyond words
The charge stations are never operational. I had to call in at work when a bank of their charging kiosks all were out of order. Customer service help try and can do much to give you hope but ultimately they fail and bless their hearts they are destined to deal with a lot of frustrated drivers. Currently I’m at my 2nd kiosk Broadway bldg station1. Doesn’t recognize my phone or credit cards. Any of them😞
Hele fijne oplossing als je geen laadpas hebt!
Ik had 2 weken voor aankomt van mn auto een laadpas besteld(bij andere leverancier), kwam niet op tijd binnen, 3 dagen van tevoren aan de bel getrokken zou volgende dag geleverd worden maar helaas op de dag van autolevering nog geen pas. Toen was er paniek want zonder pas geen laadsessie. Gelukkig! Kun je met deze app ook zonder laadpas laden. Hij vind heel snel laadpalen, weet realtime of iets bezet is, sessies starten en stoppen via de app, maandelijkse overzichten facturen incl btw. Hoewel er nog wat verbeterpunten zijn op gebruiksgemak is dit echt een Ideale oplossing!

Session Expired Immediately After Login
Updated app to most recent version. When I login, session expires immediately. Pervios version have been good.
Easy to use, cheaper than Chargemap at least in Belgium
Charging apps and charging companies are a jungle. This is one of the good ones.
Taking money
$50 holding fee on your card that doesn’t even go back immediately most times is ludicrous considering many other stations either don’t have one or are much less. The app is horribly glitchy and if you try to pay through the app it will charge you that $50 holding fee as many times as it can. Sometimes taking all the money available if it fits. Support is no help. They can’t release the hold, credit your account for the inconvenience, they barely want to remote start the charge. Instead they redirect you back to their glitchy app and have you pay again even if they just robbed you for dang near $200+
Very nice and clever but with some bugs
I want to report an issue to a charging station that did not start from the app, but was impossible to send the request. I could not find an email, only a phone number. Then I tried some times to start a station with the virtual card on Apple Wallet but I never had success. Yesterday evening, at about 20:30 I did try to start the station by the app but with no success. Can you investigate the roaming issue please? BeCharge station in Dello (Bs) Italy
Old app was better
The new app keeps asking me to add a form of payment. Every time I open the app, it asks me to log in. The old app was passible, but this new app is dog vomit. Hope they update the app to fix all these bugs. Now I’m wishing I had bought another home lvl 2 charger..

It needs to be updated for 2026 vehicles. It’s only updated till 2024

Mazda 6e fehlt
Hallo liebes ChargePoint Team. Eure App ist gut aufgebaut und einfach zu bedienen. Es wäre wünschenswert, wenn ihr endlich mal den Mazda 6e einpflegen könntet, damit ich ihn als primäres Fahrzeug in meinem Profil hinterlegen kann. Habe den Support und Euch schon mehrfach angeschrieben. Leider erfolgt keine Reaktion.

Bro even I cant find charge point chargers on app. There is a bug. When I select my car, chargers on map disappear. What do you do guys? Dont you check your app? Are you real?
Not too user friendly
Added the App as recently acquired Kia EV5. Model is not listed in the App, so cannot add my car. Same issue as another reviewer in that App asks for postcode in 1 screen but only allows numbers not letters. I have a home charger and only added this App as I shall be planning a half day visit to a National Trust property that has CHARGEPOINT as the EV charger operator.
Verbesserungswürdiges Zahlungssystem
An und für sich gute App. Ich finde jedoch die Zahlungsabwicklung nicht gut gelungen. Ich wünsche mir dass ich selber auswählen kann wieviel Geld auf Guthaben Konto überwiesen wird. Es fehlen mir Funktionen mit denen ich auch selbstständig Geld auf das Guthaben Konto einzahlen kann. Oder die Option dass nur soviel abgebucht wird wie ich auch lade.
