After update - black screen, app not loading
This app worked just fine for me until the latest update and now all it does is show me a black screen and won’t load. I even deleted it and re-added it. Still nothing.

Fix your navigation
If you look at your policy statements for vehicles you can't exit or go back to any other screen and have to end task and restart program.
Buggy
Not integrating with Apple wallet to save insurance cards. Every log in asks for contact information update rather than just periodically. Every time I try to request an update to information I get kicked from app. Works great for just basic look up of bill or policy information but in its current rendition don’t expect much more.
I can finally log into the app…

Too much friction, app icon says I have 6 notifications. Logged in to clear them. Ope! Log in is slow, takes a minute for them to send the PIN code to log in. So by the time you wait you think, hmm send another so you do and you think it’s the code but no it’s the last code just getting to you lol. Oh still can’t clear the alerts. So I deleted the app.
Update is awful
The app was great and easy to use until the update. Now nothing works
Needs a refresh update
The app is ok for viewing general information but the app seems outdated. -The login memory isn’t available and typically requires manual logging in. - some pages don’t have a back button and you have to restart the app

Easy to navigate, all information in one place!
Cannot access cards
I click on the “card” and all it does is spin…..spinning wheel of death…. Then cannot click out of it and have to hard close the app to get out of it.
Needs an upgrade
I’ve been trying to download proof of insurance cards for more than a week now and the app just spins. This needs attention and shouldn’t be relied on for getting documents.
Great Features…if they would work!
The features on this app are great, but unfortunately, they will never load. The system often will time out or crash and kick me out and when you need insurance information your app needs to be reliable.

Great insurance company / terrible app
This app has always been the slowest app on my iPhone. With the last few updates, it barely works. I resorted to using the web browser. I have deleted and reloaded the app several times. Click on your ID card or a policy. All you get Is a square box with a circle that says loading. 20 minutes later it still says loading. Nothing wrong with my phone, every other app works perfectly fine.
Frustrating
I can open the app just fine but the policy details or insurance card never loads. The app used to work just fine and now won’t work at all.

It has always worked perfect until this last update.
Bad
Has failed me twice on being able to download cards and view my plans. This isn’t a one time thing. Its been repetitive. This is why i call my local agent because of this failure.
Concerns with app
A visually pleasing app, but not without concerns. 1) unable to designate a primary phone number - when selecting an existing Mobile number and trying to set it as primary, an error message triggers; when trying to do that with an existing Other number, the app shuts down. 2) unable to easily see, add, remove, modify drivers on the policy - they are hidden in policy PDFs. appears you have call like in the “old times”.
Price
I’m 60 years old and paying $200 monthly which is outrageous and has been. I’ve had no tickets , I don’t drive that much yet my drive my way app shows it’s gone down to 70 which isn’t good from what I understand. I do not like that drive my way app, people cut in front of me and my brake flashes in the slow lane. I am considering getting a different insurance company. When I had policies plural on 3 vehicles. my ex husband, me, and son full coverage was cheaper when Debbie Miller was my agent with AMFAM back in the 90’s into the 2000”s. Now it’s just me at 60 yrs old and paying way too much with the economy the way it is. With my car pymt & insurance it’s hurting the pocket book. Idk maybe it’s because I have my deductibles at $500 on all. But with raising the deductibles doesn’t make my pymt change but $10-20 which isn’t right. I’ve gotten offers from other companies for $128 up to &140 monthly. Thanks for reading if you do. If you have any feedback I welcome it.
Insurance card won’t open
The insurance card won’t open in the app. It just continues to load. Have tried on multiple devices. Making it impossible to add to my Apple wallet.
Frustrated constant installs
I have lost faith in this App since the recent major update. It no longer feels like a native App and the constant updates is frustrating for a casual use app. The last install did not accept my face-ID for login, resulting in a password reset (who remembers their password for an insurance App??). Email of billing impact should include the dollar amount so it can be actionable. I will stop here …
Crash Crash Crash
The app crashes every time I first open it and it often hangs. Maybe 3 stars is too many.
All it does is spin
I can’t open my insurance cards. I’ve tried multiple times and just spins.
Most worthless app ever
The main reason I need this app is to pull up my insurance card or look at policy details. The problem is that when you claim on either one, it just spins. And spins. And spins. It never loads the insurance card or the policy. Seriously thinking of changing insurance companies just to find on with an app that actually works.

Worthless
I have never put in a review for an app but at this point, I am so frustrated with it I had to. I cannot open up anything! It just sits and spins and does nothing! This app is suppose to give easy access to all my policies and it does the opposite. I have been a customer of Am Fam for over 30 years… maybe it is time to move on!
