IT support? lol, no
I’ve been a Runkeeper customer for 10 years. Recently, upon trying to log back in, I received a JavaScript error “undefined is not an object.” I use the feedback button to contact the app developer, which promised they would reach out to me “right away.” over the course of multiple messages, I received one reply, suggesting I clear the cache, delete and reinstall. I did this multiple times, even changed the browser, and still receive the same error message. I’ve now informed them multiple times that their “fix” didn’t work - no help. I am still able to log onto the desktop version, so this is an app issue. Support from the developer has been really disappointing. Update: now nearing two weeks that I’ve been unable to use the app.
The best
Only one complaint, every once in a while runs will not sync wirh Garmin connect, a problem I have never had with strava. This problem goes back over a decade and included fitbit as well. They just cannot seem to get this part right. That being said, runkeeper remains my primary app for recording runs.
Ofta strul med GPS, tempo, puls, höjdkurva på Apple Watch
Har haft Runkeeper i tio år och det har varit lite upp och ner genom åren. Men nu är det strul nästan varje gång. Idag fick jag exvis ingen karta (trots att appen säger full Gps-täckning vid start). Ibland får jag inga höjdkurvor eller tempo eller puls. Extra spännande är det när RunKeeper hävdar att det inte finns karta, fast Apple watch har loggat turen med karta. Och varför får man inte ut kilometerangivelser på kartan? Mätpunkterna finns ju (hur annars hålla koll på tempo? Slutligen - varför finns inga ackumulerade tider? Jag vill (bara) veta tempo varje kilometer, jag vill veta hur lång tid det tagit att springa totalt för varje kilometer. Men allra, allta mest så vill jag bara att appen ska fungera stabilt - varje gång! Är nu väldigr nära att byta till nåt annat, finns ju gott utbud som inte verkar ha samma strul.
Clunky and dumb
It’s a free app, but still requires you to do all sorts of stupid hunting for all of the very obvious and basic features and entry points. It’s just as hard to enter data in the same thing as it is to do a full-blown workout.
Exactly what I need
Keeps track of miles, pace, time elapsed, and everything else. Nothing fancy but simple for a running aficionado.
Constant Sync Issues
The sync between Garmin and Runkeeper just stops working all the time with no warning and no way to it fix, other than manually uploading. Fix your integration. This app is useless as it currently is.
Great free version
Great free version of app. Have not tried the pay app. Only issue is heart rate sync with Apple Watch is intermittent. Otherwise nice app!
Moeilijker te bedienen en app blijft in het geheugen “hangen “
Bij het starten van de app krijg ik 10 seconden aanloop. Vroeger werd dan automatisch de actie gestart. Nu ben ik verplicht om dit handmatig door te starten. Ander negatief punt: de app blijft actief. Wat uk ook doe, hij blijft. Runkeeper verwijderen en opnieuw installeren is op dit moment mijn enige oplossing.
The worst of Runkeeper
You guys keep changing the app. Where things are kept…… Old folks don’t like change. Your app changed me from a walker to a runner. Every day I have to change me to a walker. Type of exercise is not listed or is not where I used to fine it. When you’re 80 you don’t like change.
Love this app!
I am not a runner, but I use this to track all of my outdoor miles of kayaking, hiking, biking, and walking. It is indispensable to me as well being a leader of various hikes and things. I prefer it to AllTrails because that can be much more finicky. I like to see, especially for safety reasons where I have come and how to get back if I get off track. Highly recommend!
Pauses on runs
I’ve experienced multiple times that I ran a mile only to open Run Keeper and find it was paused the entire time. There needs to be greater friction when pausing the app. It seems that looking at the pause button is enough pressure for the app to decide to pause on the run.
Love it!
Covers all the bases, easy to use! However, when I go to the subject line to Wright in who I went walking with, and I hit the space button it clears out ie ” Tuesday morning” I would like to be able to add to that and not delete it. How do I do that?
Got worse with time
So many features don’t work or bug out and they have the audacity to ask for £40 membership that’s insane.

Unable to log in
I had to purchase a new phone & installed Runkeeper on the new device. It will not allow me to log into my account. It tries to force me to create a new account. I click “sig in” but it defaults to creating a new account. I’ve had Runkeeper for years. I want to keep my old account & maintain my current activity streak.

How can I change my email preference
No longer connects successfully with iWatch
After latest update i can no longer connect Runkeeper to my iwatch which was the sole reason for me to have the watch. I reset everything with no luck. A bummer, will have to turn to another running tracking app.

Lots of options but not ones like simply gym as many are combos. 2 nd cannot duration on many events

App does not work
This app has a bug and only sometimes works - I have to restart my phone before every run or it doesn’t track time or distance!!!! So frustrating.

Except for the occasional time when it glitches and it doesn’t register the whole exercise event or any of it.
No longer logging activities
Since the update a couple of days ago, the app no longer updates with activities from my Garmin watch. It used to be that after a run the app would update with details from the watch automatically, but now it doesn’t.

UPDATE: now it is giving me incorrect splits in the app, not just the audio. I will be using a different app. This is not worth the time or money. —— It does what’s needed, but not great. My biggest pet peeve is that about a quarter of the time, the audio setting tells me my current split is something bizarre like 100+ hours a mile. It’s recording the data correctly, but the audio while I’m running is saying it takes me five days for a mile. Huh?
Miss the old Home Screen
They updated the Home Screen and got rid of the old easy to read stats that were all on one place. I miss the box chart as well. I might consider subscribing if there was a way to go back to the old display. The box chart was motivating me to keep exercising, it’s what got me up to 20mi per week. I guess I don’t need to stay loyal to Runkeeper anymore. Pretty good tracker for walking.
Become buggy and unreliable
I’ve been using for a while now but past few months it’s been unreliable in recording accurate data from my watch. I also get sun issues when trying to save runs from my watch to my iPhone. Really annoying. I love asics and wear them for running but if this isn’t fixed I’ll have to use another app.

Let down by poor Apple Watch integration
I’m a subscriber and appreciate a lot about this app, but find its integration with an Apple Watch is a bit of an afterthought. Frequently I’ll start a run on the phone and discover that a workout was not then started on the watch and I then get no heart rate tracking. Other apps I use manage this very well - hevy for example has no issue getting heart rates when I start a workout on my phone, and comes to the foreground on the watch without me needing to do anything.
Would give five
I would definitely give this up five stars, but the fact that you have to pay for some functionality doesn’t let my conscious do that. It’d be great if it was completely free.

Not as good
Has stopped adding my runs or is very slow to add them in. Needs some bugs sorting out
Glitches
Hit & Miss. The tracking is all over the place and keeps adding the same activity, in some cases 5 or 6 times. I’ve had to manually delete them While there have been some changes to see previous history, it still has limitations. I have over 10 years of records here, quite frustrating that I can’t access it all like we used to be able to. Also, why change the voice over? I used to really love this app.
Too buggy
Improved for a bit but has been very buggy since the last update. Shows my last parkrun as being on the Wednesday evening before, with no way to edit this. Repeatedly adds 150-200 metres to my runs at the same place. Also, why can I no longer see my distance week by week? It only shows it on a poorly labelled bar graph with the total distance during all those weeks at the top. I would really like to see them focus on fixing back end errors instead of pointlessly moving things around in UI updates.

Used to love this app
I used this app a lot. I just deleted it. No matter what I do, the tab stays open on the top of my phone. I have the app closed out and I am not tracking any exercise and the app stays open no matter what I do. I will never use this app again. When I am not able to clear an app 6 hours after using it, it becomes an annoying and intrusive pest. Good riddance.
Could be slightly better
Great app, easy to use. On criticism, doesn’t auto pause when stopping at crossings or to stretch
Data deleted
Enjoyed using the app for years and come back after a break to find all my activity deleted and account wiped. Apparently they delete inactive accounts after two years with no warning email. Pretty terrible to discover this and no way to get it back.

Walking app
Love it !!!! Except for the fact that it doesn’t sometimes log my walk !!!!!🤬have to always check it to make sure it’s still on!!!
This app became a virus
iOS 26.5.2 this app puts a constant widget on the lock screen that wont go away even after force closing app and restarting the phone. It is also monopolizing the dynamic island in the same way. Even with app running, the widget shows '1' not the usual stats.
A simple app to keep track
Been using Runkeeper for several years now for walking and cycling. I only use the free section of the app but I’ve found it very helpful for keeping a track on some of the favourite walks and cycling routes. I know there are many apps out there that do a similar thing but I find this one perfect for what I need.
Update issues - intervals
The latest updates seems to have caused a data issue with Garmin. It doesn’t correctly report the interval splits for runs anymore compared to the data from Garmin Connect
Works but has many annoyances
Measures distance and time but the interface is not clean and ASICS seems to enjoy periodically introducing new pointless annoyances rather than removing existing ones.
