Really liking this program so far. I’m 5 weeks into it. It is fairly expensive ($30 after 2 weeks I think). But I’m enjoying the program so far.
I have to buy this now???
DO NOT BUY!!! The positive reviews on this app are because for years it was free. Now they want to charge you $30/month for a pre-set timer. I used to love this app, I used it to get myself up to a 5k then a 10k and I continued using it any time I took a break from running and needed a slow transition back in. That said, IT IS NOT WORTH ANY MONEY! The couch to 5k program has been around much longer than this app, you do not need to pay for pre-set timers. There are other apps out there that are still free. I have Just Run Zero to 5k now. It’s literally the same thing. Or you could just google the program and set timers yourself. Don’t let greedy companies suddenly start charging you for something that is free all over the internet. They say they “made the difficult decision” lol “for then best for their users” lol…they did it because they think their users are stupid.

Map doesn’t consistently show route, unclear why not. GPS is enabled and seems to have signal.

Bait and Switch
I used this app years ago to help get into running shape. Now that I’m back to running, I figured I’d use an app that helped in the past only to find after 4 runs it’s a paid subscription. You aren’t doing this with the best interests of your users in mind. You’re doing this for your own gain. I don’t understand why you can’t offer a bare bones free model while giving people who want to pay more features. It’s a greedy cash grab disguised as a helpful free tool.

Lame that you have to pay
I used this app years ago when the whole program was free. I'm getting back into running after a lengthy illness and I'm annoyed to see that you have to pay to finish the program last W2D1. I found another app and uninstalled this one.
Not for a first-time runner!
I used the app today and am fairly fit. I think for anyone who has not jogged before, or is unfit, the app starts off with too much (30 minutes total, including 8 minutes jogging between walking). Then the app seems to want you to do that every day for four days, with longer jogging intervals on day 2 or 3! It does not reflect the original C25K beginner plan, (available on the official C25K website). The original plan is much more gentle and gradual. Beware first time runners- this app could lead to excessive soreness and put you off jogging!
Great for getting back into running.
Recommended to me by a friend and I’ve used it to get myself to a 5k gradually
Pay Wall smh
Of course just going along with the state of this greedy world. This app used to offer all weeks for free and really helped my running. Recommended it to a friend to find out that it only goes to week 2 then have to pay beyond that. There’s noone left who does things to genuinely help people. Everything is for a profit. Extremely disappointed and will NOT be recommending this app.
So fun
This app pushes you and makes you run - the down side? You have to pay after 4 runs, thankfully it isn’t much! This is great for people who want to run up to 5 km
Used to be free
I downloaded this app a couple of years ago as I wanted to get into running and set myself a goal to run a 5k. I ended up getting an injury and had to put it off for a bit. I recently decided to try again as my injury has healed up only to find out that I now have to pay for the app. It’s ridiculous.
Syncing never works
Whilst I enjoy the program, the app on my Apple Watch doesn't sync with my iPhone and it's very frustrating.

V basic app
I’m on week 8 of this app now. Overall I feel it’s nothing special and I wouldn’t use it again. >The music selection is awful. >It requires location on Always, or it does not record your route. This is not normal, other apps are fine with While Using. >It provides v limited metrics, no pace for example which seems to be on every other running app I’ve tried out. >Around week 6 it jumps from max 10m running to 20m, 22m etc. This is a v big jump. I’ve only done the 5k programme on this so I’m not sure how they normally go, but I feel a lot of people would not be able for the pace of progress expected. >No option to plan routes, no suggested routes. All that said I’ve managed to keep going without injury. I did have to scale back my other exercise though as the running at this point leaves me v tired. But really overall it’s incredibly basic and expensive for what you get so I think you should look around!
Not completely free
I used this app years ago to get started with running. I can vouch that it worked. I went from not being able to run more than a minute to being able to run a mile nonstop in a few weeks. I got stuck at a certain point but regardless of that it’s a good beginner running app. I see you now have to sign up for a subscription to get the exact same product. Fair enough. At least you can get to week 2 on the free version. Other apps like this hide everything behind a paywall.
Great App
I love using this app to track my progress. I have an upcoming run in 6 weeks. I was able to reset to the beginning and start fresh.
Voice coach
Voice commands on my watch are inaudible when running Spotify app, followed all the support advice and it simply does not work, pretty ineffective app if I need to carry my phone around on my runs ☹️☹️

Lots of pop ups getting in the way
Great for beginners
I have a love hate relationship with this app. I found it to be a really great motivator when I was first starting out. But I find as you progress they are more focused on your distance within a certain time frame and there is no way I can run 5k in 40 minutes by the end of the allotted weeks. I got discouraged because I could only run have the distance. Another thing I find annoying is the app says couch to 5K but the distance is in miles?!? So stupid. Make the app distance in kilometres as well please.
Review
New to running again after 20 something years. This app is easy to follow. The music selection is good, really helps me going. Still getting used to running again, but this is really helping out.

Apple Watch Issues
Using the Apple Watch, the App does not vibrate changing walk/run intervals unless you’re looking at the watch. This is quite annoying.
Not free
I searched for a free Couch to 5K app and this came up. However, aside from the first four sessions, this is not free. I don’t want the Pro app. I don’t want all the other fitness apps it unlocks. I just want the basic app, and I’m not paying $30 AUD for this.

Unimpressed
The start was great and week 1 worked a treat as did day 1 of week 2 but when I tried to go to week 2 day 2 the app was forcing me to buy a subscription. Not impressed at all with the fact that this wasn’t made clear at the start. The NHS C25K is free so that’s where I’m going. This app is deleted.

Seems like a cool program and you don’t have to pay like some apps where it’s ‘optional’ but it really isn’t and you have to pay. Hoping this helps me!
Limited
Really confused about how to use, there only seem to be three runs a week? And no distance or stats on the free version which means not as motivating as I hoped. So I’ve downloaded a free tracking app but shame I didn’t do this first as I don’t have a record of early progress.
Lost 10 mins of time!
Mission was to run for 20 minutes but after 5 mins warm up and 10 mins of running the app announced it was cool down time. Will retake this one and see if it works correctly next time. First time (that I’m aware that this has happened on my workouts)

Why use imperial measurements?
I have one question about this app: it’s named “couch to 5k”, and has a selector for metric/imperial which I’ve set appropriately, and yet it’s still telling me that today’s target is “2.75 miles”. Other than that, it’s acceptable. It’s not doing much more than you’d do with a spreadsheet and any running app, and it’s charging a subscription for the privilege, so if you’re ok with that it’s no better or worse than any other training app of this kind.

Not Free past 4 days
If you’re only an occasional runner and not sure about running, this app isn’t for you. If you are super committed, it seems like a great app! However, they make you pay for a 3 month or 12 month subscription. There are other free apps if your not entirely sure.
