I Still Like The App

Worst ever
It reverted to an old data set in which I lost half of my data. Every attempted backup caused more loss data. Technical Support was not helpful and by the end all the data was lost and couldn’t be restored.
Mmmm, its OK
This is a basic no frills password keeper, have used it for a number of years. Occationally there has been some data loss, which is annoying. Recently migrated to Pro9 and 38 records did not transfer over. Total PITA to find all 38 and manually enter into the new version. Have continued to use it, but shopping around for a new PW keeper.
Great Password Manager
I have been using this app since a 2021, and find it to be a wonderful password manager. I use it to store passwords for not only various websites, but also home information, credit card numbers, etc. I very much like the feature that allows you to sync between your iPhone and your laptop WITHOUT SYNCING TO SOMEWHERE IN THE CLOUD. On the few occasions I have had problems, I have found the support staff to be wonderful ! One such person (Nikolai Filipov) has been outstanding and extremely helpful when I have needed help. I can’t rate him or the product too highly!
8.4.4 keeps crashing on MAC OS
8.4.4 keeps crashing on MAC OS during local sync. I have 8.4.3 installed in another computer works well it keep asking me to get the latest but the latest version keeps crashing. Now I have a new computer run MAC OS 26 I downloaded the latest it also crashes. I need to get the app off of my old computer instead of downloading from the App Store since this version is useless
So slow on iOS now
So slow now on iOS after latest software update. Almost unusable. After many years use, unless a fix is done I will be changing to another app
Atrophy
I’ve been using this app for almost 10 years. And bit by bit every version of it is not working. Their windows desktop app doesn’t open consistently. I’ve contacted support since 2023 and never gotten an answer about this. their iOS app is not keeping up with other password managers with any kind of integration into iOS Safari or auto fill features. like I said their support doesn’t even seem to answer my email questions anymore. They’re just taking my yearly subscription fee now and not even offering me any support. so unfortunately, I have to look elsewhere for my next password manager, which after so many years is a little heartbreaking and frustrating.
It has stopped working
I am no longer able to open the app leaving me stranded, unable to access my passwords.
Wow, Old Reviews
A friend was looking for a password manager, so I showed him SplashId and said they all seem somewhat similar. I decided to see what was in the App Store since I’ve been using SplashID for 12-15 years—who keeps track? I saw all the old reviews with complaints that are not relevant today. I was surprised. One recent review with which I cannot agree, but that was about it. All I can say is it works great for me, no freeze up, poor interface, etc problems. I’m not changing, it’s a great app, I like the graphics and everything is always available. It’s one of those everyone has different tastes things—it’s a 5 in my book. Don’t be put off by the reviews. See for yourself.
Beware
Once you have signed up, there is no way to cancel subscription for this app. I have contacted this company and tried several times to cancel my subscription. Even through, once they have your credit card they continue to charge your card for annual subscription. There is no way to cancel service or subscription through app. Very unethical practice.
Do Not Forget Your Password
I like this app as it is easy to use. I have been using FaceID to unlock the app for quite awhile. My FaceID stopped functioning with the app for some reason and I had to use the password. I could not remember the password I used from years previous. I requested a password rest link. Unfortunately, I was informed by the developer that the app was built without the ability to send a rest link and I would have to remember my password. This has apparently been corrected with the latest version…but that does not help me.
Very frustrating
If you have a typo in your email or some other error when first setting up on a new device the only way to fix it is to completely delete the app and reinstall. It’s also super-frustrating that after purchasing lifetime licenses for my entire family, SplashID has discontinued active development on this product and spun off a new product with different licensing.

SplashID is a keeper! Manages more than passwords
SplashID rises above ordinary password managers because it also stores other data. You can configure each record to add PINs, security answers, alternate URLs. You can use it for safe storage of anything such as locker combinations, credit card numbers, and much more. I’ve been using SplashID for nearly 15 years! They keep it up-to-date and for any problems, tech support is there with a personal response.
Synch…nope
I’ve been using this product for over 20 years. It’s always been fine, but now I’m not sync to my desktop.

Check the Better Business Bureau first
I’d been using SplashID on my iPhone and Mac for fourteen years (one of the developers was a neighbor), and for most of that period the company seemed functional. Now I strongly recommend checking the Better Business Bureau web site for the complaint against them which the Bureau upheld (though “ransomware” may be an exaggeration.) My recent experience has been similar to the complainant’s. The company seems to have failed to deal with denial of service attacks, and my app has stopped syncing, with symptoms _different_ from those on their web site’s support page. (‘“Loading” spins for a while, nothing happens, then it says “Updated” for the current time.’) Their remaining support person has no knowledge of networking and inadequate writing skills; as other reviewers here have noted, he usually just sends an auto-reply. I was able to work around that temporarily by cc’ing their feedback address, but even the non-automated responses merely offered to re-do the whitelisting which had already failed. When I pointed this out in block capitals and orange letters, and pointed out that he hadn’t even asked for my network setup, I got an incoherent response. One possible interpretation was that I’m not allowed to have an Ethernet connection on my Mac (in addition to the WiFi router I’d been using successfully with SplashID for years.) When I asked for clarification, and then escalated to their Business Development address, I stopped getting any response at all. This was once a good product; I liked the ability to synchronize locally rather than trusting the Cloud. I’m sorry to see what’s happened to the company. Later: I experimented with various interpretations of Ram’s instructions; nothing worked, and I still have not gotten a response. I’ve reported SplashID to the App Store, and I suggest others who are no longer getting support do so as well.
Bugs on latest version
Long time user but there seems to be bugs with latest version on iPhone. When adding a credit card record it asks you to scan and then it freezes. Same if you try to change icon. Also there is no Save changes button anymore, you have to go back and it asks you if you want to discard or save the changes. Finally a long standing annoyance on iPhone is the fact that if you have more than 3 lines of notes (at the bottom) in your record you cannot edit them.
Great app!
I have been using this password keeper for years, probably 10+. I had an issue with it lately, blocking my Ip addresses. Support worked with me for 3 days, never letting me down, never forgetting to check with me first thing each morning. Got everything running smooth again. Couldn’t be happier.
Bad service
They won’t allow you to export your data unless you upgrade and purchase a subscription. Moving all my data off and into the new Apple Passwords app.
Great app
I have used this app for years as well on Palm then Windows 6 now iPhone. It has continued to improve except the latest one locks every time you exit it - this should be configurable to 5 mins 10 mind etc. The synchronisation with in my case a PC laptop running XP and a desktop running WINDOWS 7 is perfect over WiFi. Update - no specific problems other than titles to sections change randomly and icons disappear!
Gets stuck on loading
You just have to pray that it won’t get stuck on the loading screen. It’s not very reliable on accessibility readiness.
Poor, now.
Been using previous versions for years. It tries to open, hangs then crashes if Sync can’t happen because net isn’t available. Infuriating if you need a password in a hurry, you have to turn off Wi-fi and go into flight mode to get at your data,!

Belligerent Tech Support!
Have used SPLASHID for years with no issues at all. Now with this new version 9.3.9 it is BAD!!! Can’t sink between MacBook Air and iPhone. And yes, they are on the same wifi network. Plus, why do I have to initiate the sync? Then when I ask for help I get some belligerent tech support person. Not what I payed for!!!!

I have been using the app for several years now. I just wish it had iPhone X screen support. It is now one of the few apps that doesn’t. But it does work with FaceID.
Crashed
Yes I trusted Splashid for years & it crashed lost all off my data. There support staff worked with me to fix it. I am a novice & they lost patience & just dropped me.
A few problems
I have used this app for quite a few years now and while I still believe it’s a great app I have noticed that when I sync with my new iPhone XS I notice that the icons I assigned to the records have been “re-assigned” to different records ?? Can you assist ?
Excellent App!
After the latest Update (8.4.1.) it crashes immediately after opening the App Excellent App! been using it for years (since the Palm Era) and it's a "must-have", and with the new Cloud Service… even better -Keep the good work!
Keeps crashing
Kept crashing during sync about a year ago so support provided directions on how to fix, which took me a huge amount of time to implement as i has to curate data… And now it keeps crashing again! I’m giving up on this thing - slowly migrating what i need then delete
Great App being using it since the early Palms
Love the fact that syncing is so fast. I have 500+ entries and synching between my ipad, iphone and my computer is about 5 seconds. Used to use on my blackberry years ago Now with iPhone. Would just like it if pressing on the search icon would respond faster on my iPhone and iPad.

Problems in Current Program
I have used this program for over a decade or more. I use it to manage hundreds of passwords. Since the summer I noticed some problems arising like passwords going missing. Just before 2017 I noticed that the three platforms that I access the cloud based database from were reporting differing record numbers. In the end many password files were corrupt and a full review of over 400 passwords was required.
Works great for me!
I’ve been using SlashID since palm pilot days and have had a lifetime subscription since it was first offered. I have over 700 records and appreciate that this app works for me. I use it several times a week. I’ve recommended it to friends and family. Thank you for my favorite utility app!
Will not allow cancellation
I’ve been trying to cancel this subscription for years to no avail. There is no cancel function in the app or online and customer support simply tells me it’s apple’s problem but apple says I am not subscribing to the service through the app store. Use 1Password instead. Better app, better customer service.
Was Great app
Is a great app. I have used it since my Palm Pilot days. An essential app on my iOS devices.
Font problems
Can’t change the font and thus passwords are frequently messed up. E.g l = I But they are 2 different letters in either lower or upper case! Can’t believe this hasn’t been fixed.
Having issues with subscription
I'm trying to subscribe but it makes me restore it after I leave every time ?
This is the app to go through the ages
I started with SplashID from my first Palm Pilot and through a myriad of devices over the years. 2023 finds me continuing to use a windows desktop version, iPhone version and a iPad version to sync all the data of living with technology. I choose a wifi sync (over the cloud) for more control and backup via computer and email once and awhile. None of the other password keepers are this secure and easy to use/sync. Customer support via email was amazing.
Upgraded my phone, splash face didn’t recognize and no longer have access
Support is not helping, have no access to all my data after I upgraded to iPhone 15 and I used Face ID for log in. Now I know I should have stop using splash ID years ago. Only think they care is monthly subscription. Don’t waste your money.
Very useful app
Had this for years now and there have been the few glitches along way but their support always fixed the issue. Never lost my passwords and they don't appear to have been hacked so far. Nice app that stores your passwords safely.
I was happy until I was forced to purchase
Now that I have purchased it's still forcing me to upgrade 😡. It would have also been nice to know that I would have to pay to use it and with some warning that the free trial was coming to an end!
Terrible Support
I have owned Splash Data products for well over 7 years. I have noticed recently that the company's attitude to its customers is one of ambivalence. Today I tried to submit a bug report to say that SplashID had stopped working on 3 different IOS 9 devices. The app launches, then closes 20 seconds later. The first thing to note is that you can't talk to anyone. I couldn't even find a phone number by searching the web. I was actually OK with using the only option available, email, until I submitted the email. When I clicked on the send button, a panel appeared that said"We have not sent your email yet. Try one of these solutions." This is actually a good idea, so I looked them over and checked them out. None of them were related to the problem I was experiencing, so I tried to send the email again. I could not get at the send button because the suggestions screen wouldn't go away. I tried a few things to try to submit the problem report, but I finally had to close the browser window. I have no idea whether the problem report was sent. The second issue occurred with a different Splash Data product called Splash Money. During the transition to IOS 7, Splash Money stopped working with the same symptoms as I am now experiencing with Splash ID. The company's response was to withdraw Splash Money, a paid app, from Apple's App Store rather than try to fix it. When I contacted the company, they explained that they were a small company and didn't have the resources to fix everything. While SplashID is a very useful product, the company's support leaves a lot to be desired. If all you want is to store passwords for web sites, then One Password will do the job with good security. I decided not to store my data on Splash Data's server - who wants all their passwords and account numbers on a networked device owned by a company that "can't fix everything".
Great
I’ve been using it since it first became available for the iphone. There were some rough periods but it works well now. I use it on my Mac, PC, iPhone and iPad, so there’s always a backup. Just needs a touchid button on the login screen, because it doesn’t always launch automatically.
Do NOT Buy ! Poor Quality Product and Poor Customer Service
1. Product has severe bugs such as changing your e-mail in offline mode permanently blocks access to your data with no ability to recover. There are no warning messages and user's are expected to have read documentation like in thr 90's to know that. This is important if you didn't want your information on the public cloud. 2. In offline mode, your master password appears to be sent to their server and is used for login on the web. Even though your records are offline, your master password is there. 3. After contacting customer service, about buggixing (1) they refused to fix or help with recovery. 4. Customer service mentioned their platform is too old to fix. 5. Corrupt records have and may randomly occur. 6. Possibly cheaper and more effective to use the "lock note" function in Apple notes. 7. App startup speed is slow. 8. Many other way better products on the market.
Splash ID - A good product but
I have had Splash ID for many years and I like it a lot and use it every day multiple times. There newest version allows you to such to a cloud instead of synching with your products locally. This can be a good or bad thing if the “Cloud” goes down unexpectedly - but a reality with any “Cloud” synching product. Over all I like the product but as the company has grown their response to queries can be a bit tardy at times which can lead a consumer to frustration .
NOT properly iPhone X compatible!
You can’t see the settings options at the bottom of the screen and the FaceId is erratic at best. Would email but never had replies when I have done so before! It’s still a good App - been using many years.
Need to update
Since last update both my iphone a food crash on opening. Please fix this issue
