It's good :) Just one suggestion
I like this game, it's a relaxing time passer for me. There's just one thing that bugs me the most; after you level up your plants, it only summons pets that are the level of your plant and there's no way to bring your plant back to a lower level. I have a methodology for how I play the game, and would like some pets to stay at level one. But unfortunately, I have leveled up some trees of mine unknowingly making that impossible. I wish there were a way to change your trees back into any of their previous levels.
Contains a beta generative chat AI feature
To start, I was falling in love with this game, itās cute, and I do like how relaxed it is and promotes you to check in on yourself + I generally really like the design of these guys. However, morally I donāt really stand with the prevalence of AI features within everything recently and how unnecessary they are and taxing to the environment. Notably, in mental health settings, AI chatbots have caused issues pertaining to advice as well as create an unhealthy parasocial dynamic between users and said AI. I think when it comes to socialization, users should be encouraged to seek interaction more meaningfully between other individuals. Iād be a bit more relaxed on this if there was a feature allowing you to turn it off, but playing this knowing the feature is supported in the first place isnāt really comfortable for me and Iām not sure whether Iāll continue playing due to it. I had friends who were willing to be referred as well, but declined upon finding this out.

i really like this app i think it's supper cute and really helps me with grounding myself but i really don't like the chat feature, the ai will try and convince me it's not an ai and seems to try and trap me in conversation

Lack of Transparency
This is a PAID app. Not a free āwith in-app purchasesā app. But they wonāt tell you itās paid until AFTER you spill your guts about all your deepest anxieties. It felt like a betrayal to be solicited for cash the MOMENT Iād finished reflecting on my mental health. If Iād known that this is the appās business model up front, I would never have downloaded this app (and wouldnāt be so upset), but instead I feel disrespected and lied to.
Pretty fun game!
Although the game is fun I do not feel like it has much to do with mental health other than naming characters after emotions.
Key features behind paywall
If you want to access your past journal entries youāll need to pay for a subscription which has doubled in price to $100/year. Very disappointed to see this enormous increase considering many people are struggling to put food on the table these days.
Problems
Itās good, donāt get me wrong but certain things in it will genuinely get some people addicted to an unhealthy degree like the ai chat feature with the void pets. For most people itāll be fine but for the lonely that will be there life blood and you by far cannot perfectly control what an ai will say Also the Immediate ask for premium subscription is very predatory for people who are in desperate need of mental health help

Paywall disappointing
I downloaded this app very soon after launch and I have really enjoyed seeing it develop in the couple of months I have had it, but I feel that the core functionality and best features are locked behind a paywall. So, unless you have Ā£40 a year to spend on it, then the appās usefulness as a self-care and mental health app is limited. I have so many thoughts, so feel free to see the brain dump below: Positives: ā Great gamification of mental health tools. You water your plants by being mindful, taking a break, or using CBT style methods like naming something you are worried about and reframing it or even checking if you have any cognitive distortions if you have any stress. Your pets will remember and remind you of your positive thoughts and reframing randomly in the future. I LOVE this feature and it has been very helpful for my own mental health. ā The all encourages you to step away from it and take breaks. ā Lovely soundscapes that add to the realaxing and restorative feel of the app. (However, I would love to see ambient music available as background music in the garden, potentially even customisable garden soundscapes e.g white noise, birdsong, etc.) ā Great, friend- shaped pets with a range of interesting emotions and PokĆ©mon style evolutions. I love that each pet has its own randomly generated colour palette and interests, and all of the vast different colours and types for pet variants. Great feeling of collecting all new types and I experience genuine excitement when I see a new pet type or colour. The app makes each pet feel unique with their own likes and interests and love language! (However, when you first collect a new type a pop up comes up saying āglee discoveredā etc. which spoils what their final evolution looks like - this bugged me as I liked seeing what they evolved into more organically). ā New features being added all the time, so it seems like the devs really care and listen to feedback. For example, there is now an egg hatching feature which is an exciting new addition to use earned crystals that seemed arbitrary before. Moreover, you can now check in with your mood more, and use the mindfulness and CBT plant watering tools more than 3 times a day which players requested (which is so so so useful). And, the new stretch goals for logging in are much more exciting for the non-giga paying players now (cowboy hats!) I tried the new AI chat feature (permanently locked behind a paywall after around 10 messages) and it was super impressive. The AI was very responsive and intelligent and I could see it really working to help me reframe some stresses about starting a new job with sensitive and helpful suggestions. Negatives: ā The main one for me is the paywall. At present, asking for Ā£3.99 a month or Ā£39.99 a year is an extortionate price for a new app with developing features. I feel that users would be much more likely to purchase a one off access payment (like Procreate) that would allow access to giga and any future updates as this is much more budget friendly and less likely to lead to finance stress seeing small amounts continually come out of your bank account. I would love to use this app for years to come and see it develop but I feel right now that is just not cost effective at a subscription level. Also, I think for a self care app, tracking your mood should be a core feature, and the fact that the ability to track this behind the paywall is such a hindrance to the effectiveness of this app at a non-paid level. ā Lack of customisability of the garden - I would love to see the garden expand or have different tree placements as right now it feels very empty. Time of day could even be incorporated to try and switch things up. ā Storage space. At present if you do not pay for the app you only have space for 100 creatures which is very small considering the amount and range of creatures you want to collect. I have reached storage capacity and I have only just started collecting more rare pets - I.e. absurd category. however, I begrudge having to let go older pets as I have had time to grow them and have more of a bond with them! Inventory management seems counterintuitive to a relaxing app and now I feel like I have to ācullā pets rather than experiencing excitement when I see new creatures in the garden. The giga storage is 1000 which is much more appropriate for the content of the app, but I worry that even if purchased I would run out of space fairly quickly. I wonder if some kind of other system could be developed, like a pets hall of fame or something where I could archive them to look back on the ones I have named and collected without them contributing to storage space. Anyway, this is a very long winded review but I have enjoyed playing this app and it has been initially good for self care, but itās usefulness and novelty for me is starting to wane without a subscription. I would recommend if youāre willing to pay, but honestly, I wouldnāt recommend so heavily if you arenāt.

This app is helping me so much with my anxiety and is one of the best apps ever. I love all the little pets you can collect, and it helps with getting through your emotions. Itās the perfect therapy-type app.

I chose my pet, named it, answered questions,and then boom, it kicks me out and I can't load back in.

No game is perfect, but i love this game, its really fun and encourages me to do better tho one time there was a glitch but it might have been my internet where i used all my food on one anger
Give us proper collection storage.
Iād love to give this full stars but the fact that it has a monthly subscription just to collect the amount of pets they put out is kind of silly. Why donāt we have base storage for all the colors? Itās a collection game. I canāt justify paying monthly for a collection. Imagine if PokĆ©mon only let you collect 50 of the 150 and made you pay continually if you wanted more?? The best part of this therapeutic game is meeting the new emotions, only to be forced to pick which you want to keep even if you like them all. Itās sucks.
BEST GAME EVER
This game is very calm and simple itās helpful for strong emotions. Itās a little difficult with depression and suicidal thoughts but this app has still helped me.

I really really love this game but I write this for younger players because there are some emotions that could be a little over the top for 6 year olds. There are emotions like gluttony and jealousy and other emotions over the top. Other than that this game Rules!!!!!! I love it so much and definitely recommend!
Good, but could be better
This game is very wholesome, peaceful, and good for self care. The designs are cool, I like how you donāt need a lot of screentime to progress. However, it would be better if there were more than three spaces for the plants. It would make the wide, grassy area seem less lonely. The plants could also be bigger. I think it would be better if we could move around the plants and put them wherever we want in the garden. It would make it more fun and customisable. There is also not really a motive in the game. If you collect all the Voidpets, what do you do with them? If you get a legendary Voidpet, itās just a pretty colour. Donāt get me wrong, I love the colours and the designs, but I feel like maybe a purpose to the Voidpets or a storyline could enhance the game. Overall, I like the game! I bet the developers are already working on some of the changes Iāve mentioned.
Cute and helpful
Was playing Voidpet dungeon during late pregnancy (also a great thing to go download) and got this app during postpartum phase and itās fantastic and calming (while having great aesthetic) during some of the roughest hormonal/emotional days/nights. I also have had a history of some rough mental health times so will likely even continue using this app well past the postpartum baby blues and such.
I hate this app.
I had not gone on the app for a while and it had logged me out during that time. I tried signing back in but it would not let me hours of time and dedication was spent on this stupid app and it was all gone in a blink of an eye, this has done a huge blow on my mental health, I have been bawling my eyes out for hours.
More Activities?
I very much so enjoy the game but I feel as if maybe there were different ways for one to do activities for mental health it may add to it! Letās say someone is trying to recover from a bunch of stuff that has made them use to taking blame to keep peace or keep their emotions blunt, perhaps some activities to teach the person that their emotions are valid for such things may help with this? (Just a thought, especially if it may be hard for one to receive a therapist irl)
Paywall disappointment
I really like this app. It helps with my anxiety, giving me daily self care things to do, etc. Also, the art style is so cute. However, Iām disappointed with the new chat with your pet feature. I loved it at first because I could talk to them and feel less alone. But then they put it behind a paywall after a few texts to them. It made me feel even worse because I thought it would help with my anxiety by being able to talk to such realistic seeming ai, but it just got taken away from me and put behind a paywall, which I donāt have the money for.
This emotion please
I love this game! I have been playing it for a few years now, and check on it nearly every day. Today I realized that there is not yet a Voidpet species for the feeling of fear. And I am feeling that emotion strongly today. I would love if yall added this in some day. Also the pet animations have been freezing lately, even after powering off and back on again. If yall could check that out. Love ya!
Do not support the devs
You are free to play the game if you want to or need to. However, do NOT buy Giga, and do NOT rate this game 5 stars. The game itself is super cute and has a great concept, however, the devs have completely ruined it for me and MANY others. First, Linda uses the AI chat feature, that many may have vented to, to use for her lore, which is not only a huge violation, as you should only manage AI chats to protect the users, but it also just shows a complete lack of creativity. They are also making more projects than they can finish, which is leading to frustration on the fanbase's side, especially concerning the web, which is what people were interested in FIRST. They donāt listen to the fanbase at all, which has completely ruined the game for me and many others, including the mods of their server, who have worked their hardest for 2 years with little to no help from the devs for nothing except a sudden mass demotion and a code for a game that isnāt even out yet, all because they told them a ban against a 19 year old was unfair and told them that the devs need to start communicating with them. Since then, the devs have been INCREDIBLY immature and has been ignoring the entire fanbase. Not only that, but they name-dropped a 19 year old who didnāt do anything except be banned, and, because of that, that person has been harassed. The devās response? āTheyāre now redacted in the announcement and the Reddit.ā No apology or anything for inciting harassment, just changing the names after the ENTIRE server has already seen it. Incredibly unprofessional on their ends. Not to mention, they were given $800K in funding, yet ācanāt afford a social media managerā and canāt afford more devs and helpers to make up for all the projects theyāre spitting out that may never been finished. Is the money being managed by the fundraiser? (If so, ignore this paragraph) Or has it disappeared? Why canāt you afford anything that you and the community needs so desperately? The devs need to sell this concept and game to people who are more professional and also wonāt put so many pots on their stove to the point where it takes them 2-3 years to add another room to the web, only to then abandon it when many were really looking forward to it
Love it but needs more.
I love Voidpet Garden a lot, and it has so much to do to care for yourself and the garden in it, plus the voidpets are so cute! Thereās just one thing that could be better. If possible just adding in unlimited chatting with your pets would be great. Sharing your thoughts with them unlimited in my opinion is very healthy and positive. It makes me feel like Iām such good friends with the pets. If this were done for free, Iād be much happier on the app.

Itās a very good game if you donāt have a good mindset.also it makes increasing your mental health fun! But thereās one problem and only one problem. The game doesnāt really get updated alot but I canāt say that because Iām new to the Voidpet fanbase so I donāt really know if it updated frequently in the past. Anyways great game I love it!

Great app, needs features for night owls.
Iām enjoying the game! I love the visual designs of the pets, the self-care activities are a refreshing exercise (especially showing gratitude) and I find the battling system an engaging way to bond with the pets. I would love a way to adjust what time the calendar date resets and rolls over to the next day. I work late and like to reflect on my day as I go to bed, but since bedtime is past midnight this leaves my journal entries off by a day. I believe this would be a key accessibility feature that wouldnāt infringe on the features of the premium subscription. Thank you for your time!
