Love Hobbycraft
I am happy customer for a long time now. Excellent customer service, range of products is fantastic, good perks with discounts and membership. The app has been improved so well, couldn’t praise it enough.
Website
Awful. It took nearly an hour to order as it wouldn’t save any details then kept changing my address. I couldn’t change my addresses once I deleted old ones. Kept changing on payment page or switching billing and home…etc..I could go on..
Absolutely brilliant app- but a suggestion to physical & visual learners
Using the hobbycraft app to be able to make orders and find free crotchet designs to download for PDF are fab, but I wish there was a video option, to watch it rather than reading, especially with the physical handheld crotchet kits. I’m more of a visual learner so I’ve got more luck of seeing pigs fly, rather than reading something and completing it. Even if there was a QR code that takes you to a private YouTube video would be fab, and an idea for the future
Account log in difficulty
Log in not easy on phone ok on laptop
Mixed blessings
The stores and personnel are very helpful. Why the three stars? Then? The App is rubbish. It rejects my password every time and requests a revised password. Enter a revised password, you’re right, it rejects it! Delete App and stay with my store.
Super easy to buy what you need!
Super easy to buy what you need! Never fail to find what I’m looking for… and more
Completely unusable and inaccessible if you are a screen reader user!
Absolutely terrible app! completely inaccessible if usimg Apple's in-built screen reader Voiceover, as used by blind people. I'm guessing HobbyCraft are either unaware, or simply don't care about legislation such as the European Accessibility act, or have not heard of WCAG or BBC Mobile accessibility guidelines! I'd suggest training your design / dev teams up in accessibility as it is a legal requirement to produce accessible apps. + it’s the ethical thing to do!
Good but not for iPads
This app is great and it’s really helpful now having the digital loyalty card and reward vouchers available on my phone. Love the layout. My only complaint is that it isn’t in landscape mode when used on an iPad. Please allow it to be turned round and this would be perfect!
Confusing
I put an item in my basket which then said was out of stock. I went back to chose something else but the original item was still listed as available!
App asking me to update my phone but…
… my phone is up to date. So can’t access vouchers, rewards or even show my card, when doing extra shopping in person, when getting a Click & Drop order. Previously App took ages to load whilst in the queue anyway. So not an improvement- you can do better than this surely.
Best place for My Kids
Found a place to make useful time for my kids valuable skills .
Bad
I have used hobby craft for years and now I have changed my mind on it now loads of stuff is being record after asbestos is in the kids sand it’s completely disgusting That’s our children’s health they’re putting at risk disgusting please people be careful if you shop at hobby craft 🤬
Ok but needs work.
I was excited when the app first arrived but have been very underwhelmed since. It’s incredibly slow, taking ages to load things, add to baskets and pay. It’s also irritating that you don’t get told something is out of stock until you go to pay. Will stick to going to the store or using other crafts sites.
Online is good, in store is better
Very impressed with Hobbycraft for supplies I need for my craft. Staff in Salisbury and Newport are really friendly and helpful, makes going into the store a pleasure.
Old iPhone locked out of app
I have had the Hobbycraft app downloaded on my phone for many years, I have an old iPhone 6s which works perfectly well and I don’t have the money to buy a newer one so I have a secondhand one. Now suddenly when I open the app on my phone, it tells me to update the app, but then when I go to update it in App Store it brings me back to the ‘update’ message on the app - sending me round in an endless loop. Uninstalling the app and reinstalling it gives me the option of downloading an older version of the app (As I also have a newer iPad with the app downloaded on it) but then on the iPhone it downloads the older version of app but won’t let me use it, bringing up the same ‘you must update your app’ message. I don’t carry a big iPad around with me when I shop in Hobbycraft, I take my phone but this now makes it useless having the Hobbycraft app on my phone when I go in store shopping. If an older version of the app is available to download from the App Store, why is it locking me into this update message, making me unable to access Hobbycraft club anymore on my phone when I am in store. I have had the app on my phone for years I am now locked out of the app which is crazy.
Unable to apply discount code to my order
The App worked however when I placed and paid for my items there was no way to apply my discount code! Awful!
Great
Simple easy to use and good prices and choice
Account blocked
Every time I try to buy something online of value Hobbycraft blocks my account preventing me from making a purchase and receiving rewards. This has been happening for several months now. Customer service have no control over it.
Can’t now access
Since upgrade to app, now can’t access. Presume my phone is too old.
Hobbycraft
It is very scary how once you walk through the door or look at their website, just how many things you suddenly need to complete your project. I love this store and will probably end up bankrupt if I keep buying from it 😃😂
reward vouchers don’t work on app
Tried to apply my reward code onto the app and it says it’s invalid. poor UX - no explanation as to why even though the reward is valid.
Cricut crafting lover
I absolutely love the prices, quality of products, birthday reward discounts, reward discounts for purchases & the service from order to door is impeccable. Thank you HobbyCraft
Hopeless
Won’t let me download as I need a higher version to run it - let’s me download earlier version then won’t work
Order
Jigsaw brilliant store Solihull assistant extremely helpful
Can’t sign in
No longer seems to work. Have to sign in via a browser as canny sign in via app. 😔
Crafting addicts beware!
I absolutely love this store. I find myself there or online every week! It’s a crafters paradise!!! The rewards are fantastic, the staff are always helpful and knowledgeable! Much nicer than buying from Amazon 😬
This month App has on it ‘UPDATE’ !! so i have tried!
This Month App has on it ‘UPDATE’!! so i have tried to do so…. sends me to app’s just say ‘open’ so press ‘OPEN’ send me back to App … STILL SAY ‘UPDATE’…. please fix this please. i use my ipad me daughter & son-in-law gave me. So can no longer get offers etc
Great hobby store
The app is made well and I’m really impressed with the amount of vouchers and discounts you can get from just being a member, for example, I’ll wait a month or so before my next shop and come back to so many offers which ends up making my hobby re-stocks extremely cheap! The app is also extremely easy to navigate and overall great to have
iPhone 7
I tried to get new app but can’t fit my phone why can we not keep the old app
