Need a Zelle like option.
I get it. Global CU doesn’t want to be a part of the Zelle network. But please figure something out that gives members the ability to send/receive money immediately like Zelle. I have two credit union accounts with two different CU’s and I just want to be able to easily and quickly send/receive my money between these two accounts. The “send money to friends and family” option under the payments tab still takes 1-2 business days to be deposited into the recipient’s account, like a regular ACH payment so it’s still useless if I need to send money immediately. I feel like we shouldn’t have to rely solely on third party apps like CashApp or Venmo to make these kinds of transactions.

I like the original Alaska USA app. It gave the bill pay information a little more in detail and I didn’t have to go online to get the name of cards not just the numbers but other than that it works great

It use to be great when cashing checks now they put a freaking hold on it I THINK THEY SHOULD ONLY OUT HOLDS ON THE CHECKS IF ITS OVER 1000 ANYTHING LESS SHOULD BE AVAILABLE RIGHT AWAY

I appreciate having an app but I wish it showed pending transactions like other bank apps. I find I have to make notes about transactions so I can remember what I’ve spent when I’m out, because it won’t show until they actually debit your account for the purchase amount. Please add pending transactions in real time!

When Global CU bought AlaskaUSA FCU, they closed down my local branch and left an ATM in a local grocery store. Since the next branch is over an hour away, off the mountain, I find this app indispensable for the basic money transaction needs. It has been very reliable, greatly minimizing my need for teller assistance. There are still those days…
Is there a reason to pick global over other apps and/or banks/credit unions?
Short answer: No. My biggest gripe is how difficult it is to move your money in/out of the bank. It’s 2026 and they still don’t use Zelle. And if you read other reviews their excuse is “Zelle doesn’t work with people not in their network” Yea. So join the network global…… it’s a very simple and easy thing to do. Especially since, and this is gripe number 2… yall make so much money off of us and don’t offer simple services such as Zelle, high yield savings accounts, CD accounts, or other ways of growing our money. The savings rates are LAUGHABLE at global, customer service is “okay” but marketably worse than the AlaskaUSA times. There really is 0 reason to use global over other options. Even their budgeting tool is done better at other banks. There aren’t any redeemable qualities about this bank or app as far as I can tell
Weird connection
I get weird duplicates of my accounts, it makes it hard to understand what is the actual amount i have in my checkings/savings. Called their IT, they said nothing could be done. Just weird
Simple
Easy to navigate and use. Some features I haven’t enabled or made use of like scanning a check to deposit. But I like the feature to be able to turn off a card if I loose it or misplace it.
Cards
Stop blocking cards just because of negative balance I got my card blocked and can’t reopen it just because I accidentally spent more than I had in my account now my card is locked and you guys call it a maintenance fee online and over the phone it’s something stupid like QUUQUUQUQQQUUUQU
Nice app, wish importing from other financial institutions worked more reliably
I like the option of adding my other financial institutions to the account list for one stop monitoring of all my account balances. Worked great for a year. Then something changed with the security check with my other institution and I’m constantly getting syncing errors. That aspect needs attention
Works great
The app is fantastic, but showing me recommendations to switch to a Seattle Mariners sports theme (or any other sports team in Washington state) is disgusting. My disappointment is immeasurable, and my day is ruined.
