Unable to log in
The app gets stuck loading after entering the PIN. I can’t access my account or approve card transactions. Other users appear to be experiencing login issues as well. Please fix this urgently.
Not bad but..
Apple Pay verification shows Wio’s UAE number 600 500 946 without the +971 country code. When I’m abroad, iPhone treats it as a local number and the call fails. Please fix the number to international format. (+971….) so easy
All in all money management app
Super easy to navigate. From storing to investing to tracking money, everything can be done here. Highly recommended.
Less secure No VPN allowed
Was a great app, working well, now blocks the app if it thinks you have a VPN or even iCloud private relay. Forces you to use open networks if you’re overseas or travelling without any VPN as they feel using a VPN is less secure than an open unprotected network! Seriously - how is a private VPN less secure than an open hotel wifi or foreign country cellular!
Training stop feature
I am wondering why the bank has not adopted the widely used “Trailing Stop” feature. This option enables investors to follow market movements more effectively and execute exit strategies without the need for constant monitoring. I would appreciate it if you could consider introducing this feature to your platform, as it would provide a more practical and valuable investment experience for your clients.
Slow and unresponsive
Default login into their app may take 1-2 minutes, no matter which internet i use. Really bad experience
About cash back it’s lie
Cash back not giving, it’s lie. From June 2026 they not giving cash back. I spending money in different bank now, because waiting cash back in wio, they only asked to much questions about my money, but about cash back they mute. Only until June 2026 cash back been there, now information its old about this bank

Very easy to use and very cool for kids and adults you can customize your own cards and you can have people send you money and the app can help you invest
VPN blocked and logs out
So annoying that if my work VPN is on, the app not only does not work, it actually logs you out. Beyond frustrating. VPNs ensure safe internet traffic, it’s so odd for a bank to block usage let alone make your experience worse by logging you out completely. Sort it out, Wio!
Forced update
It’s not really nice when I open an app and I can’t use my funds until I’ll update an app. I’m forced to do update sometimes using cellular network to get access to my funds
Logged out because of my haircut
I cannot log in purely because of my haircut, there is NO other way to log in except for Face ID (which doesn’t work). I have tried at least a dozen times. Cannot use my card at all and customer service is very slow. Please try fix this, thank you. It is a great app, when it works.

SMS for transactions?
Love the app but would much prefer push over SMS for transaction/ other alerts and can't see any option for that.
Terrible UI and UX
I don’t know who decided the UI was a good idea. It makes no sense. It’s not intuitive. It’s not like other apps. The entire app needs to be redesigned. And the ads for other features are annoying. I don’t care about the stories at the top. I should be able to dismiss everything in the explore section. Maybe look at Revolut for an example of a good UI. Also it just takes too long for the app to load and animations are not smooth. Terrible engineering.
Good app
Easy too use. I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn’t for the amount of updates, far too many too often.
Lagging
They need to improve big time. Management should listen to client what they want and how they can improve. With a back of Etihad airways and FAB still if your app get hang then you need to change management.
Great bank, app lacks
I like the speed of the app, much faster than other apps like ADCB and NBD. However, not being able easily filter your spending on my credit card by category, highest purchases etc. is a really big disadvantage for me with WIO. You can for example not remove certain payments in the calculations either (when you returned an item on Amazon for example). Apps from online EU banks like Monzo, Bunq and Revolut give more information/graphs and options. If any other bank in UAE improves their app I might switch.

As a wallet it’s fine but taken over a month to get a personal loan…I got a mortgage faster in the uk.
Too many updates
While the app itself works fine, the updates are too frequent. You cannot use the app realistically, on the go, if the update is coming every 1 or 2 days. Causes a lot of issues esp if on cellular data trying to manage something but app won’t open until you update (again!). Delays work and productivity. Normally apps update after a month or more. Wio, you can do better. Ridiculous.
Why no VPN usage?
So frustrating that you can’t access the app whilst using a VPN, I’ve read the other responses to this and by saying that by not using a VPN it makes the app more secure surely highlights the developers complete lack of understanding of how or what VPN’s do and makes me question the security of the app in general.

This is the best and most comprehensive digital banking and investment app I have come across ever. Love it
Actually getting worse!
Where’s your card details?! No one knows. Buried in some menu setting far far away. Is it printed on your card like normal cards.. nope!
Only few currencies are supported
Nice app, but only few currencies are supported. JPY and SGD are still missing!
Great but bloated
Super quick and easy but hugely annoying to not be able to (permanently) remove the annoying buttons for “Family”, “Investments” etc. that are utterly inapplicable. Constant reminders for personal loans etc are also frustrating. The lack of ability to customise the interface (just add/remove functions) is poor UX design, and the “cards” button seems to have vanished in the latest update.

Excelent experience
Very annoying log-outs
Recently they introduced VPN protection: if you open the app when VPN is on it doesn’t open up asking to turn VPN off but when you turn it off it log you out and you have to log in again. Very annoying especially for people travelling and using VON abroad frequently. Also very annoying feature is not being able to instantly transfer efen AED10 to new contacts. Other banks allow small transfers to new contacts before the 4-hour cooldown? Wio doesn’t allow alltogeter which is bery annoying. In western countries you don’t see these features. I hope they chhamge it some day
Started good now so many frequent changes and less benefits
A lot of benefits to get customers when it started now it is a mess of updates and changes and many conditions . It’s not simple anymore. The investing part also didn’t change much and doesn’t provide any tools. When I want to buy 30 shares many times end up with fractions like 29.98235 which makes me wonder if there are hidden spread fees. The charts don’t even show proper information,basics like proper labeling of x/y axis are not there . The credit card also doesn’t work like other banks so you end up paying the full amount at the close and not 30 days after. Notifications where they split a family fixed deposit were not triggered with some weird logic they did for the split. Overall now Wio is way less appealing than a few months back .
Good in principle, but ...
WIO has a huge weakness: Transfers take much too long. My last transfer, which was verifiably received by WIO on Monday at 14:37, has not yet been credited today, Thursday at 17:28. With Revolut, this usually works almost real time. If you have the choice and the possibility, you should rather use Revolut.
Easy and simple to use
Love the app, enough so for me to leave a review. Super easy to use, and looks great! A few suggestions I have: - Change the order of the 2 currencies that are being exchanged as it feels counterintuitive. In my opinion (and having seen it like this in other apps) it would make sense for the currency at the top to be the currency you want to swap from and the one below should be what you want to swap to - Would be helpful if you can search for other Wio users by a username or phone number. - Would be great if you can customise app notifications - Refer a friend feature - Be able to deposit money using Apple Pay Thank you for making banking in the UAE easier!
New card location is terrible
Absolutely hate the new app design. Takes an age to find your card details. Why did they have to complicate the app?! Unable now to open a fixed saving space despite having plus plan.
Removing benefits
Started off great, with lots of incentives and benefits, but these have now slowly been eroded away so no longer appealing.

My experience with Wio to start with was great, good benefits and clean experience. Recently I realized that a lot of the transactions that are meant to give cashback rewards never ended up being given. Specifically large rent payments that other bank cards give

Absolutely Terrible UX
Absolutely terribly designed app for user experience. So difficult to find basic card details. They’re stored in the most non-common sense place and require you to go through a whole maze to find them. Should be easy to be able to access basic information like this. All the budgeting stuff and investment tracking should be secondary and not the primary focus of the app.

Unable to login to the app, keeps on asking me to login with my email, i add the random number too but it keeps on giving error while logging in
