WORD WRIGHT IS BUGGED
I CANT GET GET IT TO ACCEPT ANY MA _ _ _ word NOTHING WORKS FOR THAT. It’s frustrating and the internet is very unreliable and unhelpful for that.
Nice but does NOT sync across devices
It really is a lovely app, but I thought Apple required Apple Arcade games to sync across devices? Absolutely will not do it. I restarted both iPhone and iPad, both have Game Center on, etc. will not sync and that is very frustrating. Please fix! Other than that, 5 stars! I just realized they haven’t updated this game in a year - nor have they responded to reviews. They really don’t care anymore. Bummer.

AI Cheats
Played 10 games of Backgammon vs AI on hard mode and AI blatantly rolls whatever it needs to win. I was leading in the last game and AI rolled doubled 4 times in a row. Now tell us how your game is balanced and certified…. I call BS.

A quite challenging game which is compelling . My disappointment is that it uses only American English and spellings of some words are incorrect . for example , armour is spelled armor! Some culture specific words creep in too.

Anyone having issues getting the app to work? Every time I open it up it’s just a black screen. Have deleted it and reinstalled it three times.
Word wright seemingly misses easy words
There are frequently times when I play this game and there are very obvious long words that seemingly should be included, but are not. For example, today the letters would’ve let me easily spell independence, but that’s not a word. Same with dependence. Why are some simply obvious words not included in this game?

The AI shooting the moon .. then taking all the points away from loser to distribute to other players is about as lame as it gets!! Might as well scream “here loser, you deserve a participation trophy because the other players beat you. But don’t worry, not only do you get a PT, I took all your points and distributed them to the actual winners”. As I stated “LAME”!!
Battery killer
Would absolutely be five stars if there was a way to simplify the game in settings to cut down on unnecessary animations. The app drains my battery. One quick game of checkers and 4%-5% battery gone.
No undo button
There’s no undo button, which is pretty annoying if you accidentally move a piece and want to continue the game

I love this app and I use it almost everyday for the daily solitaire and word wright! It is amazing to see an app with so many games inside it and have NO ADS! But there is one thing I think should be added and that is a daily 3-card draw solitaire. I personally love playing 3-card draw and I would really love a daily one. Hope the devs see this request and take it into consideration. Thanks for the amazing game!
Audio Controls Don’t Work
Trying to play the game on silent so I can listen to a podcast at the same time, but even though I’ve turned the sound effects and music completely down, the sound effects still play.
Very good but improvements are needed
This game is awesome but whenever I click on some games it just lags out and I have to close the app and reopen it other than that. It’s a very awesome game and all the classic games are awesome. Chess is probably my favorite. This game is awesome you should get it
Word Wright Wrong
There is a lot that’s good with Game Room. Word Wright is not one of them. Numerous possibilities are exist among the required + optional letters of the daily puzzle. Unfortunately, only a subset of that possible are presented as acceptable answers, leaving players feeling arbitrarily cheated for their valid contributions only to see them rejected for an arbitrary reason, “Not a word in today’s puzzle.” I suspect each person has as much as they can tolerate. I’ve had mine, and can tolerate no more. I’m happy to reclaim future time that would be otherwise been lost to what would have ordinarily been time spent relaxing.
Okay, but has its issues.
The game in of itself is okay, but it really doesn’t do itself much in the lines of some technical aspects of the presentation. For example, there is no threefold repetition in the chess game (a stalemate where the board state remains the same for three turns), the word wright game often misses common words (on Dec. 11th it didn’t think decided is a word?), and it lacks transparency for some of the rules of Hearts or Yacht—clearly seeming as if it’s ripoff of Yahtzee and making hearts unbearably complicated to play.

Children can code better
Seriously, one of the worst apps I’ve ever seen. The chess AI is easily beatable on the hardest level, despite my not having played for several decades. The word game based on spelling bee is an atrocious mess. So many simple words are not included as playable options despite being obvious, everyday words that are used that there is clearly no QA among the developers, and they aren’t pulling from any standard opensour eyes dictionary to check their work. This has to be the worst value for production dollars Apple has spent… And I’m counting the Apple car in that list. I would be happy to vibe code a better version using the worst LLM imaginable, to offer an alternative if Apple would put it up on the top of the app page! Painful to experience.
Great, except possible bug in Mahjong Daily Blitz.
Terrific set of games!! I especially love playing Mahjong Daily Blitz and Word Wright (I hope cribbage gets added someday). However, I continually experience the following possible bug in Mahjong Daily Blitz (a family member of mine noticed the same issue as well): During gameplay, sometimes animations appear (e.g., tree leaves, bonus scores earned) that overlay and block the view of some of the tiles to be matched, making it very difficult (at times nearly impossible) to match the tiles. Only workaround I’ve found is to exit the app and start a new round of the game, although on one occasion, the bug reappeared right after exiting the app and going back into it. The app’s developer kindly responded multiple times to the bug reports I sent with screenshots, indicating the issue does not appear to be widespread, but saying that they are investigating.
Blank screen
The screen is just black with music playing. And also all the games are locked and nothing happens. Not sure why. I have given it 2 stars even though I can’t play anything. My iPad is 7th generation. iPad IOS version is 18.2.
Sea Battle On AVP!
A great starts. Looking forward to its development. There remain a few opportunities, one being how an opponent’s hands don’t break through during multiplayer shared experiences. Could the thumb positions be used to ignore another users hands.
You might have removed the AR background, but why not you add new backgrounds like a living room
In my last review, I said I didn’t like that you guys changed the Home Screen but, I wish that you guys added new backgrounds (like a living room) there’s so much potential that you could put in so much potential in the background I would like it so much the background being able to be decorated or something (like a custom background) so that you can decorate it to your own desire. Please make different backgrounds.

Decent, but a lot of paper cuts
- Word Wright’s US dictionary is missing tons of words. Every day I find at least a few common English words it won’t accept (it doesn’t recognize “titanic”? Really?) - The Hearts results screen doesn’t include a “new game” stat - The old Home Screen let you see every game at once, but the new one only lets you see two without scrolling - Mahjong punishes you for selecting tiles that are trapped while having a top down view that makes it extremely hard to tell which tiles are trapped at a glance - Almost every game has mediocre AI that makes wild moves. The Hard Hearts AI will often make moves that are completely irrational (e.g. starting with the ace of spades when they have literally any other card) - Even more that I don’t have the motivation to list
Yacht keeps crashing
The game crashes after a few minutes of play. iPad g.9, iPadOS 18.
Can't do online multiplayer anymore???
So i played the app for a while, and than took a break, now suddenly we can only play multiplayer with friends???? It feels like a weird thing to stop supporting, I felt it was one of the best parts of the app.
Great; Just Needs a macOS Version
I enjoy the games in Game Room and the quality and effort that went into the designs of each. I just wish I could play them on my Mac as well.
Could be better
They need to remove the word AI as there is no AI in most of the games. Take backgammon for example. Easy mode is super easy as the computer makes many bad decisions which you would expect. The Hard mode is only more challenging due to better dice rolls. The decision making by the computer on backgammon hard is really really poor. It has made it unplayable for anyone who has played a decent amount of backgammon. Too bad as it is a pretty good app of great games if done correctly.

game room keeps not leting me play some games like it waits a little like its been pressed but then it logs me out and i only gave it four stars is because i liked the game before it started doing this!
Pointless…
…Solitaire just highlights where to put the cards if you just tap it. Hardly challenging. I’d rather work it out myself. Too much hand holding in the games when easy is way, way too easy. Needs lots of improvement.

AR on game room was like a dream come true but ever since you got rid of AR (now)don’t play it as often as I used to and why did you get rid of AR and PLEASE add it back in the next update thank you ☺️
Nice presentation but needs more options
Games are OK - presented well but animations are too slow and controls are fiddly. Battleships looks nice but it’s almost impossible to see your ships due to the angle. Hearts - the controls are fiddly and the animations are too slow. Some rules are a little off too - you shouldn’t be able to play a heart or the queen of spades on the first turn, but that just happened to me. Annoying.
Fun but couple problems for me
First of all, great game, but let’s get down to the facts Rick. Foosball. This game needs foosball. And maybe air hockey. Ooh! Poker. Texas Hold’em, double draw, triple draw. If you do this I can probably give five stars. Thank you and goodbye. Also for some reason I was playing mahjong and the game kept crashing whenever I tried to shuffle

Buggy and poorly coded
I wanted to like this but there are numerous problems including the chess game which calls a stalemate just before I checkmate the AI, the backgammon game is now throwing numerous doubles and distorting the game play and the solitaire will not allow three card draws instead of one which makes the game boring. But the thing that irritates me the most is the chess game where it’s programmed to call a stalemate when the game is still in play and checkmate is a few moves away.
Great App! But...
Awesome app and plays very well. There are some issues with the hearts multiplayer mode. You can see exactly which card an opponent is picking from their hand and can reasonably assume how many of that type of card remains (You can tell for sure when they are playing an Ace of clubs or a 2 of hearts ect). The other issue is that you can't set the difficulty of the bots when playing with less than for opponents, so you are stuck with the very amateur easy level bots. If those issues are addressed, this will absolutely be a 5 star app!
Bad UI on phone
I’m guessing this game was developed with Vision OS in mind, because the interface is bad on phone. Everything is tiny and many things are unclear. The games seem ok.
Great but horrible
I love the games. Sure they cheat, but all developers do. However, why can’t they fix the volume glitch? They said they did but it’s worse than ever. Also it crashes sometimes, once it even crashed my phone. Complete shut down. Very glitchy. C’mon guys.
