Feature request
I don't often take the time to leave reviews on apps, the simple fact of the matter here is that this app almost does everything it needs to. The part it's missing that makes way too much sense is CarPlay integration. The irony of this app in its current state is that you are encouraging me to distract myself with my phone while, of all things, I tow a trailer. Like how insanely practical would it be if I could use the OK button on my dashboard with the app open in CarPlay to manually brake my trailer. This makes far too much sense. Please do it.
Typical Outsourced Garbage
It’s clear they paid some cheap dev shop to build this app or don’t have anyone with real product design skills. It is unintuitive and clunky. Very old-school design. And the Bluetooth link to the brake controller is wildly unstable and unreliable. Basically doesn’t work.
It’s ok but could be amazing
I use the app for the Curt Echo brake controller so my use is limited to that. Setup was easy and it does what it says. However it could be better with a few updates. It would be incredibly helpful if it had options to activate the various trailer lights by tapping a button. Making it easy to test brake lights, blinker, etc from behind the trailer rather than needing someone else to watch. As others have noted, there is no CarPlay integration. Sure would be nice if there was.

Reinstall App
Edit: try uninstalling and reinstalling. That made the app and my Echo start working again for me. I don’t know who needs to read this, but hopefully Curt does. They broke the app with V2. In fact, the app doesn’t even launch. It force closes as soon as you try to open it. Before V2, it worked great to control my Echo and set brake and gain levels. I’ve been driving around without a brake controller the last two months thanks to Curt. And the recent update V2.1 didn’t fix it. The app still does the exact same thing.

Continuous app crashing upon loading
The App update has problem
After updating to latest App, the App keeps crashing. The new version App seems having new design with brand new UI. Not sure if the App data migration caused problem. I ended up reinstalling the App to make it work again.
App text bigger than my cell phone
Poor!!! Cannot hit the required agree buttons because they are blown up out of reach on the phone. Ridiculous!!
Break adjustment
Love the controller however I can adjust the break setting on my iPhone. I can adjust it however I can hit the accept button but aside it’s off screen. My new trailer doesn’t need brakes at 50%.
Does what it needs to
It connects my brake controller and my remote brake button so that’s good. Have to kill the app to get it to connects often Also how is there no CarPlay on an app like this??
Stopped working after update
Icon looks different so I’m assuming app updated itself recently. I can longer open it. Crashes instantly. Fix asap
Page Zoom is still broken
Whole new app its still broken if you have text Zoom turned on in iOS. The app doesn’t scale it’s display properly and you lose the “allow” button on any trailer setting. Also the granularity between settings has been removed so you can’t have half settings anymore. now I have to choose between no brakes and my head going through the windshield when my trailer is empty.
Pairing Problem
This app did not give option to use location either during initial download or in Location Services and therefore I could not pair with brake controller. Changed screen from zoom to standard, and reduced text size, and was then given a window to complete pairing.
Crashes on startup
App uselessly crashes instantly on startup. This means there is no way to access the settings of the brake controller and there is no way to access the emergency stop brake control button. This makes the brake controller extremely unsafe to use.

When it was CURT everything seemed fine , don t know if app needs an update but cannot try breaks with app on phone ,, please fix , this is not cheap thx
Doesn’t Work
This app no longer launches on my iPhone 16 using iOS 26.6.1. I hope it still controls the brake based on the settings I set when the app did open. Even updated with the latest version of the app, still flashes a loading screen and then disappears.
Crashing on IOS
Wish I could leave a rating but app won’t open, which is difficult when you’re relying on the app to control your trailer breaks.

This app replaced ECHO Smart Control. I didn’t realize this switch had been implemented until it was time to hook up my travel trailer. I installed this app and it did its job. A few months later, I’m ready to tow again and now the app is crashing as soon as I try to open it up. There are no pending app updates. The Bluetooth Kurt equipment I purchased cost a pretty penny and to have app issues like this is annoying. I did submit app feedback so hopefully the development t team can fix this issue asap. My parents also noticed the same issue with this app on their smart phone. This issue occurred on the weekend and there is no customer support on Sat and Sunday. That’s when most people are hauling a travel trailer in my area.
