Won’t load successfully
Used it couple times and now it won’t even load. Just says scanning it nothing else

Doesn’t Scan ALL modules as stated
Multiple times I had vehicle with Air Bag lights on, and even though it’s advertised that the scanner, scans all modules. It does not. How can the Air Bag Light be on, on the dash, but then say there are no codes in the SRS module? The cheaper one on Amazon is better, faster and offers more information. Even Live information. Figured I try this one out because I found it by accident, I see now why it ended up lost in the first place. And sometimes the maintenance reset and/or EPB maintenance mode does not work either.
Ok but not great.
It is a pretty good app whose main advantage is convenience. But that is about it. Unfortunately it looses the connection easily, won’t reconnect if you switch apps like to maps, and the live data should be larger or at least customizable.

Awesome code reader. Need to learn more but I love it. The only thing is when you go to fixes it gives you lots of option that would end up costing me lots of money. So I only do the least cost items Its definitely worth it. if I was fixing cars all the time I would definitely go with something a lot more expensive like they use at a dealership.
Update doesn’t work
Updating the scanner doesn’t work and it will brick the app so I have to delete and reinstall but it can not update the scanner
Wish I had got this scanner earlier!
I got the BlueDriver scanner recently- it opened door to understanding a lot more about my vehicle. I run live scans and it saved me money that I would’ve spent in dealership. I would recommend the scanner.
I like the sensor, but App needs improvements
Sensor and app works fine for checking codes and clearing them, but live data layout is not customizable 100% uf you change the size of the charts the only way to fix it is or clearing data and cache (that will reset and delete all) or uninstall and reinstall, so either way you need to do all again
Great Tool - But…
BlueDriver is a useful OBD2 scan tool, and a good value, and I’ve been pleased with the device overall. However, I was disappointed to discover that it does not currently support my 2026 Subaru Outback. When I contacted customer support, they initially had me go through a number of diagnostic and trouble shooting steps before eventually realizing that my vehicle simply wasn’t supported. I was surprised that this wasn’t identified immediately and also disappointed that BlueDriver doesn’t appear to be keeping pace with support for newer vehicles. I still think BlueDriver is a worthwhile product for supported vehicles, but I strongly recommend checking compatibility with your specific year, make, and model before purchasing. I also think BlueDriver should make current vehicle compatibility, much clearer to customers.
Great product great value
Honestly, for what I paid for this, this is one of the best scanners I've ever used on a budget not only does it pull codes for just about anything it also gives you stuff from online links of how to fix it. I would definitely recommend this to anybody That is a do it yourselfer. My girlfriend bought it for me and at first I was very skeptical until I started using it. This thing has been spot on. Makes diagnosis a lot easier for the average Joe.
Doesn’t work on new cars
Worked perfect on my 2017 Ford but unable to connect on my 2026 Honda. This a common problem, search online/reddit. Does not support 2026 models

Good way to see what’s happening in engine
UPDATE 7/12/26- Drains battery so fast and makes iPhone so hot, it’s only practical to have it on for a short period while diagnosing. Excellent way to get insights into what’s happening inside the engine. The UI is very intuitive with lots of information. Very detailed analysis (but not for all cars, ie very limited info on Porsche cars for example) and most likely suggested solutions for the cause of CEL coming on. Happy with this purchase and would recommend.
Long Time User
Owned through five different cars. Worked great on every one. Saved me money on clearing codes. Saved money by the repair suggestions and parts recommendations. Great value to me. Purchased around 1995.
Connectivity issue
Refuses to connect to my car after countless reboots

Does not work on some basic vehicles
The tool has worked great even on euro cars, reading many modules. Not on 2011 Subaru though, built in USA. Only reads engine codes, that’s it! Would not even attempt to read ABS module!
Saved reports crashes the BlueDriver App
When selecting Saved Report, The app crashes, tried to report the issue but website did allow it hence writing this review.
Missing 1 simple thing
I appreciate the information and how handy quick and easy the BlueDriver is to use and find the problem as well as how to go about fixing the issue at hand but it’s missing a very simple thing that really bugs me… battery voltage!!!! Why is this very important and simple bit of info missing on the dashboard??
Hopefully you read this first - Do Not Buy
Scanner worked when i first bought it. Right after the 6 month mark was up it no longer works. Tried it on multiple types of vehicles & it wont communicate with any of them. You will never be able to get customer service on the phone. They send you to robo call purgatory or endless email chains. If anyone from blue driver customer support team reads this i have one piece of advice for you…FIND A DIFFERENT LINE OF WORK BECAUSE YOU ARE TERRIBLE AT YOUR CURRENT JOB.
2017 promaster van
This is essential equipment for the promaster as the temp gauge in the dash lacks a crucial function. The speedometer is a bonus. If the settings would stay imputed I’d give it five stars tho it could be my van or my phone that’s the problem. It gets six stars out of five for value. I’ve not used it to read any codes. Its full time job is to fill out my instrument cluster. Thx. Wayne

Great scanner
Easy to Use takes you straight to Amazon auto parts to order any part you need for your car. Both cars had check engine lights. Saved $150.00 on scanning fees and parts were simple pull out and plug in. Overall it saved me close to $400. More than paid for itself in its first use.
Used it for my fleet of cars (family) for years
Awesome tool, easy set up. I have probably used it on 40 different cars. Works great… gives most likely issue and links to Amazon for parts… and often videos to help fix it yourself
Garbage!
The app is bloated with garbage. You can get these information online for FREE
Missing one thing
If app and the connector are really good, but not being supported in apple car play is a big missed opportunity.
Showing it’s age
Better options available out there for the same money. Bluetooth connectivity is shady specifically after the last update. Will not recommend.

The app has been great, but it keeps crashing when I try and view a code to see the suggested fixes.

Doesnt work half the time
It refuses to connect to my phone most of the time and when it does it often says it cant pull anything up. When it works once in a blue moon its helpful but the unreliable service outweighs the usefulness

Disappointed
I downloaded the app and the list of what it would/could display was impressive enough for me to purchase the sensor. But once your vehicle is identified most are not supported. So all told, disappointed. The app itself leaves a lot to be desired as well, the most frustrating is there seems to be no way to back out of a display page, as in… you go live with some items you want to monitor, then want to change and select another few… need to totally close the app and re open it…….

Just received my blue driver and the hype about this diagnostic tool is spot on to the fact that it’s like having a dealer tool in your hand on your phone or tablet. I used iPhone 14 and it connected seamlessly. This tool is a must for the diy guy or shade tree mechanic like I am . I appreciate you blue driver . Hope it’s more positive outcomes in the future . Again 5 stars would recommend and thanks again
Bait and switch
These jerks promised not to require an online account or online connectivity for this tool to work. But now it requires an online connection in order to start so when you’re out jeep in the wilderness, you can’t use this. These guys totally suck. *Update* And after they saw this review they tried to tell me that my experienced inability to sign into my account while in the wilderness wasn’t “requiring an account” to use BlueDriver. Be warned. You need this tool while you’re in the wilderness? You’re potentially walking home if you don’t get a different scan tool.
Easy to use
Screens all set out well. More to explore but initial use suggests that this is a very well sorted combination of sensor and app.
Annoying
Entering a VIN number with year & Manufacturer never gets locked in for next usage. There is no acknowledgment button to verify entry. Just Had this app updated & still the same. VIN stays in vehicle list bit manufacturer “Mitsubishi” wont be remembered. Seems like BlueDriver has poor customer service on App. Was trying to get a friend to purchase OBD2 device but it failed to impress him & gave it a miss. You guys seem all talk & no action / Updates etc.
Doesn’t do a lot of things
Bluetooth driver works just like any other diagnostic tool that you buy on the market I have a few it would be nice if it could diagnose ABS codes as well as SRS airbags

Clearly it does not clear any codes!
What a waste of money. The Blue driver did nothing to help us with any of the error codes it found, and there weren't even any simple codes that were fully repaired exactly as needed.
Australian vehicle coverage
I have cheap hand held diagnostic tools that will identify the car vin automatically, and while I understand the functional link between the vin and DTC descriptions, it would seem sensible for the tool to ID the car to simplify reports etc. With all the sensor inputs why no fuel consumption function? Would one day hope to see Aussie DTC database. Having said all that, it does connect very well and work as described. It is a good tool which has a lot to offer
Not the best
This is a budget tool. It dose read a bunch of sensor a pull data that the average person doesn’t need. I bought it just for when a fault warning symbol comes up to tell me what it was. Finally got a symbol we actually 2 come up on my dash. And guess what the blue drives says not faults atm. While I’m looking at 2 fault warning getting displayed on my 2016 Dmax. Finally when it had its chance to shine it failed.
Does it support Toyota Corolla 2004?
I am thinking of buying it and I am in Australia. I have read some comments saying it gives some data although it may not show car model name or so. Does it work in toyota corolla 2004 in Australia? Has anybody tried it? Thanks.
Parenting Must Have
I have two of these. One I use at the house for my wife and I. The other is in my daughters Jeep as she is off to college. If she notices anything unusual, she scans her Jeep with this OBD2 and sends me the results. This is a very valuable tool to have for your family!
Scanner won’t connect
It connects to my phone in the Bluetooth section and it used to work, but now it’s been randomly not connecting and saying that the vehicle isn’t on

It gives me more info about the workings of my car than I know what to do with. I haven’t had to deal with any warning lights yet, but it let me see the exact deliberate calibrated error of my dashboard speedometer (it reads about 4Kph higher than my actual speed). If you are easily overwhelmed by information overload this may take some getting used to, but you can pick the main things you want to see live and not worry about anything else. For anyone wanting to know, I drive a 2018 Subaru BRZ.
For the cost of the adapter- it should of done more
I bought this to read the ATF temp on a Toyota Landcruiser while towing. This is not supported on this App, but is on a $30 ebay bluetooth adapter and free App on here. Does not represent good value.
Buggy for AUSTRALIA
Like another reviewer said, it does give read outs but doesn’t recognise the vehicle. At times the buttons are unresponsive or slow. I expected better.
