Doesn't work
The idea of this is cool. But our network won't pop up. The app keeps saying there is a delay and to try again later. It's been over a week. Update. It's been over a month. Now it just says my network is disconnected. But my WiFi is working just fine. This app sucks and is so glitchy
Meh
Just about everytime I open the app it tells me “There was a delay” and I can’t do anything with it. I need this function due to my children being homeschooled. If the app works correctly then I could turn off the internet to their games until chores and schoolwork is completed. I never had issues with the xfinity app not working. This is very disappointing
Not bad. Simple setup
Speed test does not work at all in app, on any screen. Some devices depending on connection type can report data usage within app but others can’t. Not sure if that’s how it operates or issue? Needs ability to swipe between menus instead of using back arrow. Option to hide unused device categories. Also maybe show a list of recently connected devices, but not currently on network. Otherwise usage of app has been acceptable, easy, and would recommend for where basic setup needed situations are called upon.
Inconsistent and Lackluster!
I’ve used this app for years, and it has been nothing short of disappointing. About half the time I try to use it, whether I’m setting priorities or checking connected devices on my network, it simply doesn’t work. I’m often unable to use the app at all due to bugs that have gone unfixed for YEARS! I strongly recommend choosing a different router that uses a more reliable app. It will save you a lot of headaches over time.
Not great
No public IP, no DDNS, and devices connected aren’t showing up.
Similar to a Ubiquity Router
I wished it had more options but as for a company router this one is the best in Canada. I have tried BELL, COGECO, and Vianet. This router is far superior. 3 months in and not a problem just amazing.
Not Working
App not working. I get a glimpse of the opening screen and then it is blank. All options say There is a delay…. I saw there was an update and downloaded it. Still not working. App support is useless. Log in to what Calix account? I don’t have one.
Has issues
Randomly has no devices listed. There is no way to have multiple admins. Also, can’t clear the device list of old devices. Could be better.
Mediocre at best
When you edit device names, the app tends to forget them. At the moment, my app doesn’t work at all.. I can see when someone has connected to it, but cannot see any of the devices on my network.

Whatever they did they broke it. It doesn’t work anymore. Horrible.
Doesn’t always show as correct.
This app is nice to have with a house full of teenagers. However, it doesn’t always show correctly. For instance, right now it’s not registering as any devices are connected but I know that’s not true because my phone is, the Roku the kids are watching is connected and so on. There was also an instance that I locked a computer after 10 pm for one of my kids and it took me 45 minutes of unlocking, relocking, rebooting and restarting to get the laptop to connect the next day. I’ve also gone through and renamed all the devices so we could tell which is which but every 3 or so days it pops up as a new device even though it’s still named in the system. Sometimes my iPhone will pop up as iPhone 14 and sometimes smartphone. It’s all and all just annoying but I admit doesn’t stop me from using it.

Awesome functionality and experience with my service provider
Super easy to use and functional, while giving me a communication vehicle with my service provider when I need help, something I have NEVER had before. Fantastic.
Horrible interface
This app sucks horribly at completing any task. Randomly doesn’t do what you ask it to do, and horribly lags.
Buggy
Struggled with inability to reliably pause/unpause users. Had to reset multiple times. When creating users receive multiple error messages when attempting to assign devices. The few moments that it did work was nice—but not long lasting. Needs improvement.

Just haven’t been able to add my Bluetooth printer to the internet… pretty user friendly otherwise

The app literally just says there’s a delay and won’t let me click on anything. I can’t pause anyone off the wifi or do anything to fix it. So dumb.
Helpful but it would be nice if it gave more information!
I love how it protect the wireless activity in the house. However, if there was more information on who or what was a threat to our internet… Maybe I could stop it or know what devices are connecting to the internet. But it just hands out numbers so how can I react? I’m always asking the kids if it’s them. A name on the device and not just some cereal number would be much more helpful .

Hello, are you aware that the app is not functioning? I need to take charge of the router, however the app isn’t working and I’m trying to remove certain devices from using the network connection, please help us resolve this.

There is a delay
There has been a delay message literally since I have downloaded the app and set the network up on it. I cannot do anything to the network add delete edit nothing doesn’t work at all

Sign Up Not Functional
There is no option to sign up for an account. The app cannot be used if you cannot make an account.
What happened to the UI???
What happened to the UI, you basically had a functioning app and then neutered it so you can’t add guest networks etc now all it is is basically a glorified network monitoring device that’s it I can’t do nothing with it but add devices to groups and pause them when I want to add a first network and other thinks, add back user functionally this app makes it not safe to sandbox and create a guest account to let all external devices connect to. Please update or redo this app dev’s, I don’t know why you all destroyed what it was but please fix it also why have video tutorials for people on this app on the calix website when it looks nothing like the app in the tutorials anymore?
