Terrible product
Constant account disconnections and disruptions not worth the money or service.
Useless for a Teen in the modern age
Whilst this app appears quite good it is virtually useless in my teens world. Teens do not communicate via text message or email and this app can only monitor those forms of communication. You cannot monitor TikTok, Snapchat or Instagram. The monitoring of the Spotify app is annoying so I turned it off, what teenage kid doesn’t listen to music with profanity in it? Total waste of money in my opinion. They need to move with the modern world and be up to date with kids online behaviour.
A must
If you have a child with a devise Barkai’s a must! Not negotiable!
Dodgy scam fraud
I downloaded the app just to see the features and how it works. Subscribed to free trial which clearly said I won’t be charged before trial ended. I deleted the app within the hour of downloading and canceled the subscription. I made up my mind so fast because the app was too complicated compared to other similar services. Yet I still see a full annual charge of $164. What a shame
Disturbingly good app so far
First of all, ignore the reviews that are clearly written by kids. Set it up on both of my kids phones yesterday and discovered a whole bunch of inappropriate conversations that I wouldn’t have found out about otherwise. Have reported the instigators of these conversations to the police as my kids are both minors. Unfortunately there are some pretty nasty people out there and this app is a necessity.

Waste of money on IOS. The kids quickly learn that they can simply toggle off the VPN and bypass all restrictions whenever they want
Charged for free trial!!!
Explicitly told that i will not be charged until the trial ends and then takes R1209 of my account… im so disappointed.. please explain why u state that there is no charge until trial ends but then still take more than the monthly subscription off???
To clunky
Despite some of the bad reviews I set up on the free trial, but it was terrible, very clunky to set up, hard to navigate, I didn’t know if I should down load the app on my phone, plug into a laptop, then systems were not syncing up, then wanted 2 hours just to sync to YouTube, before moving on to other apps. Needs a lot of improvement

love this for my son he has disabilities and is easily convinced to do things that are not appropriate and acceptable this way i know that he can be safe. i hate to be a helicopter mum but these days other kids are so dam cruel and so is society
Extremely disappointing
Signed up for the 7 day free trial. Couldn’t get a single child device or account connected. Bark then deducted $99 for an annual premium subscription on day 8 rather than the monthly subscription promised on sign up. App was a complete waste of time and “trial” bordering on a scam.
One of the best out there…
We have been using Bark to monitor the activity on our daughters mobile phone. The monitoring is accurate even in our home language of Afrikaans. We receive alerts flagged by type and this allows us to have thw discussion with our daugter to obtain context. Well worth it and their support is also fast!
Very hard to navigate
Deleted subscription and removed app within 10 minutes of downloading. Access to home computer was needed to finish setup and to many steps required for set up! If you’re looking for a straightforward parental control app that lets you block/monitor individual apps and websites, this is not the app for you.
Can’t install
I just want to put it on my kids IPad. Installed bark desktop. Desktop can’t find Ipad with a cable in. No “trust this device” popping up on Ipad.
Scamed Took money out of my account without authorisation reposted to my bank this product is a scam
I looked at this not for us as settings can be changed on device this is a scam took money out of my account without authorisation reposted to my bank this product is a scam even if you don’t sign up took money out of card which is brand new how did they get my card number off my laptop you suck Bark and beware parents be active on your kids device and you won’t need this
Annoying features
Several emails each day even though I’ve turned off all notification/email contact. No option to delete account.
Useless don’t waste money
Cannot be used with an iPhone, uses up so much battery and data while operating. Constantly disconnects and needs reconnecting. Usually 15 to 20 minute delay when my son leaves the house. Absolute waste of money.
