Good
Upgraded is good. But fx is still confusing.
Terrible. Cannot even log in
Not sure what they did to the app but it won’t even open when authenticating through the regular BMO account. It just gives me the basic blue screen and not even an option to log in. And there’s no update or anything.
Two part verification
Love the app and the ability to stay up to date but… while being out of country, I’ve had to get a verification code sent on several occasions and every time this happens I have to go back to my provider in Canada which costs me $15 a pop… I wish an email option could be offered besides the mobile phone option to get a code…
Horrible UX
This might be one of the worst banking apps out there. What’s the point of having an app if it can’t display basic information within the width of a phone display? I always need to scroll horizontally to see things, which is incredibly unnatural for a phone app.
Constant crashing
The app crashes at least twice a day. I constantly need to re-enter my credentials. App developer claims there are no known issues. Face ID constantly de-activates.

Great App!!
Miss the old app
This new app is missing a lot of the features that I looked forward to on the old one …. Very disappointing.
Bien mais frais de transactions
J’aime bien la plate-forme, mais j’aime beaucoup moin les frais de transaction il faudrais voir à corriger ceci.
Doesn’t show holdings in USD
This app keeps gets worse. Argh. My holdings are USD. I choose USD top of page. Still shows me in CAD. How can I decide a USD trade when I only see CAD value? I have to click on equity to see USD but then I don’t see the related option price. Argh! Frustrating. Made by people who have no idea what is important to an investor. Now I have to go back to desktop to do what I used to do on app. Seems ridiculous in the mobile world. BMO invest is a no go.
Need full feature.
With this app, it's the same view you got by logging in with browser on your vertical screen. BUT!!! This app doesn't support horizontal screen. If you login with horizontal screen using browser, you will get the same view as if you are using a laptop, which is a lot more features! Can we add an option to enable full features in this app?
Easy to Use
Enjoy the simplicity of trading and reviewing portfolio. Good info on gains and losses by % and $, and % of portfolio.
Doused
Every time you renew the app it’s gets worse.
Good app
This is a good, simple app for long term investors. It may not be fancy enough for day traders but that’s fine, I like it.
Good app but security part sucks
Overall the features are really good but every few months the login fails. And then the password reset doesn’t work. Frustrating if you’re trying to put in a trade. Also, cannot see what your own password. Such a simple feature that other apps have. Most recently can’t seem to type numbers into to password reset. Always something with the password. Frustrating
Please create an IPad optimized app.
App is fine on the phone, sometimes laggy but I would much prefer if I could track everything on my IPad through a native app as opposed to a webpage.

Easy to do trades
BMO needs to rework this app
I am a longterm client of BMO. This app gives basic trading functionality for the platform, but the website itself is what I end up using to manage my investments. Recently the interface was updated and the latest update has broken the side menu (client tools and support not accessible). I logged this bug with support a week ago yet no commitment when it will be fixed. Hopefully someone from the app team can get it fixed.
Not working
The app has been down for almost two weeks. When I open the app it’s just a plain blue screen. Nowhere to enter account info.
New Big Chart
Useless big chart appears every time on the top page
Problème technique
Pour choisir un prix de vente ou d’achat on peux pas écrire la virgule! Seulement des chiffres sans fractions exemple 59 ou 60 pas de 59,5 ou 59,7!
User friendly design
Easy to use, fast and convenient
Incomplet
Merci
This App seriously needs a revamp
The BMO invest app can often be buggy at best. It regularly does not immediately launch after putting in your credentials, particularly while using facial recognition. It can hang and hang and hang, often requiring closing the app and starting it up many times until it works. This is HIGHLY DETRIMENTAL as it impacts the quick timing needed for trading equities ASAP as to maximize value/ profits or minimizing losses on each trade made. FIX THIS PLEASE!!
Broken since the update
It’s a decent app but it’s been broken on my iPhone for the past week. Billions of dollars and still haven’t pushed out a fix…
Pretty good
It’s not bad … I honestly just have a few issues … I should be able to buy ETFs available on DOW … and be able to play with NIKKEI …. Also FOREX is unavailable here … I might be wrong …. If I am … it’s not easy to see
1 star
Regretted upgrading to the new version. New version very slow and Order tab , not always show up my holding. I have to click few times to see it. Bad, 1 Star
Stuck in the 90’s
This app is stuck in 1998. The UI and UX are really bad. No way to see your portfolio’s performance in a graph. Impossible to access e-documents in it - so if you NEED to access one and you don’t have access to a computer, you’re stuck. All this app is good for is buying and selling, that’s it.
InvestorLine use and support
Very user friendly and the staff - team are very knowledgeable and helpful
Search Function
The search function has been unavailable for days now. What sort of operation are you running there? Fix it.
Would rather use wealth simple
The main issues are with the platform itself rather than the app. It has a bug that makes me create a new password because my current one is “incorrect”. Very annoying. Also 10 dollars a trade is a bit steep, not worth trading on these accounts but it’s okay for just regular investing. The only reason I have this is because it links to other BMO accounts easily, other than that I’d do wealthsimple.
A Website Disguised as an iOS App
It’s 2026 and this app still feels like a poorly optimized website forced into an iOS wrapper. Nothing feels native, smooth, or designed for mobile. You constantly have to scroll back and forth just to see basic information because the interface doesn’t even adapt properly to the screen. What makes it even worse is that they charge trading fees. Compared to National Bank Direct Brokerage, which offers a modern, fast, fluid mobile experience with zero-commission trading, this is honestly a joke. If you’re going to charge customers fees, the least you can do is provide a proper mobile app. This feels outdated, lazy, and completely disconnected from what users should expect in 2026. A complete redesign is long overdue. Shame on the IT team.
Unreliable
Very unreliable, stocks prices are not current, they lag. The app often doesn’t open.
Please bring back the iPad version!!
Thanks!!
Outdated and not user friendly
You can do better. This app is not user friendly at all. Look at what competitors are doing. You make it hard to not jump ships! Wealth-simple is maybe my next solution
Cant buy Anything
The “search” is down but in reality I cant order anything. What a joke
