Works great as an RSS reader, and generally good for just about anything.

It’s good for reading things quickly, it also has on-device AI, it can summarize articles into bite sized overviews that are easy to read and comprehend if you’re in a hurry, and it can also use that same ai to automatically recommend and add RSS feeds, taking the pain out of manually looking through the internet for them.

RSS feed not working

Reddit feeds are no longer working, more than half my feeds are from Reddit which has made this app redundant now.

Mark all as read

This app is beautiful and functional. The only thing missing for me personally is a way to mark all articles as read so I only see the new ones after a refresh. If that functionality was added, this would be my ideal newsreader.

YouTube videos don't play

UPDATE: 5/18/26: YouTube videos break in subscriptions and subscribing to new content creators doesn't seem to be possible anymore. Shorts mostly work though 🙄 ------------------- 9/29/25: Wow. Colors. I mean why improve functionality with left/right swiping to save/mark/delete when all we needed was a new paint job. Luckily I use NNN as my primary RSS reader and only use this app occasionally 🫩 ------------------- 9/15/25: The tendency for this app to update your feed and the way it does this can be a big PITA. The app will populate your feed both above and below the part of your feed you are looking at. This forces the place you are reading to randomly scroll up or down, leaving you to search for something you were trying to read or select. Sometimes the dislocation can lead to a lot of scrolling ------------------- There's no doubt that this is a nice RSS reader. I won't argue that. That's the problem. It's got a nice trick or two up its sleeve but it's also a PITA. Trying to search for a site gives mixed results-sometimes a web app, sometimes a Reddit link or something else-for the same domain. Depending the seen vs unseen can be difficult as viewed items are only a little bit darker shade of white. Also, there are just so many times I have to look at the regular site because the AI summary includes half of the content or even just the footer of the page. Also its ability to flush old content is a joke-it actually keeps marking read content as unread, and there's no way to mark something as read without actually opening it. Maybe use it with another reader. Maybe NNW.

Left wing bias

I downloaded due to reviews. It lets you pick feeds the developer presents in a list. The news feeds presented are all far-left biased news sources. I guess I shoulda known since the app button has the nyt on it. So much for neutrality. Plus we get his political bias as a bonus,

Being chained to an app is a dealbreaker

Feels good to use, with clear if simplistic features. However, an RSS feed with no browser support goes against my main reasons to use RSS. As-is, this is a great way to introduce a primarily-phone user to the ability to curate their own feed.

straightforward feed reader, but

I want an app to read posts and articles written by actual human people I follow. I don’t need LLM slop summaries (which I found enabled automatically). With “AI” making the internet worse and worse, finding and accessing content by actual people is harder every day. RSS readers are a way to rebuild those connections we used to have I turned the slop setting off and will keep using the app for now. At least I can export my feeds to import into about app should this one become all about the slop

Was going to give 5stars until ai popups

I was so stoked to find a nice app that wasn’t implementing ai and there was a pop immediately talking about ai services and how they’re temporarily free. I don’t want them at all anywhere near my phone. Can’t seem to avoid them but as soon as I find an open source app that’s better with no ai focus or implementation I’m out.

Widget Customization, Please? ☺️

Could you pretty-please-with-sugar-on-top add more flexibility to the Home Screen widgets (specifically the smallest one)? The only thing keeping me from giving it a dedicated place on my Home Screen is that I can’t tailor it to one topic or source. Being able to at least assign it to a folder would be nice, so that way I can have it display as many or as few sources as I please. I enjoy that it cycles through articles, but it often repeats them, so an option to disable that would be nice, too. Absolutely killer app otherwise.

Thank you for the break from toxic social media

I've been looking for somewhere to still stay up to date on the latest news and also enjoy some of my fave topics without the constant rage baiting and bots of social media. I was tired of seeing news sprinkled in amongst the opinions of some of the least brightest people in the world and some of them aren't even people! This app is SUCH a breath of fresh air. I was out going to use it until I could start getting print newspapers and magazines but I'm definitely going to use it even after doing that. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Almost perfect….needs mark read on scroll so bad

The only complaint against this beautiful modern design is that I can’t mark items as read when scrolling by uninteresting articles which makes them stay around for me to keep seeing. I think more features to manage read items would make it a 10/10.

Great but one suggestions

The developer is doing a huge favor to humanity with this app to be honest. Because of all the algorithms, I have not been able to read any news on time. Plus, all the distraction, not good for neurodivergent people. Thank you! One suggestions however, is it possible to make the curated “folders” more accessible. I really wouldn’t mind having it in the bottom tab.

Way too good to be free

LOVE this app. It’s slick and points me to great resources. I wish there were a few more bells and/or whistles, but I love it as is. (e.g. adjusting font, alignment, layout, turn off AI, etc.) I’ll gladly pay a one-time fee for some of those extras (or to tip the creator).

Great concept and execution

Great app. Great alternative to traditional feed readers and social media apps if you like reading the news. My one complaint would be article titles are truncated to include an image. I’d much prefer the full title. Perhaps it’s just because I’m on an old phone.

I’m blown away.

The fact that I had to dig through menus to figure out how to support this app developer tells you all you need to know about their work. I could be mistaken, but an app this well-designed and free can only be a passion project; a labor of love. Perhaps the developer, too, is frustrated with the existing offerings for this particular purpose, built an app for themselves and decided to share it with the world. Extraordinary effort at a time when much worse online services will nickle and dime you for the privilege of frustrating you. This app, on the other hand, seems to be made with true empathy for the user without asking for anything in return. It’s truly hard to believe. I keep waiting for that pop-up to tell me I reached the limit, pay up or beat it. Massive thanks to this dev, what a legend.

Really good, but just one thing that would change this to five stars

When clicking on the RSS/Atom feed’s name inside of a post, it would be great if it would take you to that source’s feed instead of just doing nothing. I really like the apps so far! It’s really helpful for finding new feeds and stuff. :)
