Completely blew my expectations, I am so so grateful to the creators hopefully you have a link to where I can donate to/support, you guys thought of everything!! This is the only app that has unattended access and it works effortlessly!!! Direct IP connection works, everything else broken. Stick to desktop app.
The desktop app works great with ID/Relay server but the iOS doesn’t work at all. You enter server details and it says success but that’s all. All remote host ID do not work. Often saying no ID found or Key Missmatch. Only exception is if you allow direct IP connections, password be prompted for and seems to work. LAN browser fails to see any online hosts. Yet again desktop app works great. iOS LAN settings enable. iPhone/iPad on same VLAN as remote RustDesk hosts. Hopefully fixed for new iOS27?! Heres hoping!
The best remote desktop software
This is the best and most compatible remote software I’ve used. There is only pros and one cons. The pros are it’s stable, it works with private self hosted setups, and it works with Mac, Linux, and Windows with no issues. The only con is, it makes the phone hot after using it for a while.

Way better than TeamViewer
I was sick of TeamViewer constantly timing me out because it thought me accessing my laptop from my phone was “commercial use” which brought me to RustDesk. And wow I wish I’d switched sooner. It’s a much better platform and experience. My only complaint is it doesn’t let me access it when my computer is on a VPN.
Send Keyboard Strokes Stopped Working
Can’t send keyboard strokes from my iPhone to the PC I’m controlling via RustDesk. Attempting to do so just causes whatever program I’m attempting to send the keyboard strokes into to indefinitely hang until I force close the program.

Works then doesn’t work
I find this maddeningly frustrating. Rust desk works fine on my windows and Mac computers, but access from iOS or iPadOS works and then suddenly doesn’t work for no apparent reason with no ability to understand why it’s not working. All you get is a message that says try again later. That’s not helpful at all.
recent update broke ipad mouse
I use this regularly with my ipad, and the most recent update caused it to be more difficult to you use. The mouse on my pointer on my desktop and pointer on my ipad aren’t lined up anymore and I can’t figure out how to get them lined back up.
Better than TeamViewer
Not sure why this app has such low reviews; if I had to guess, it’s probably because some people don’t understand what this app is for. If you self host your own Rustdesk server, this app is perfect. It does everything the TeamViewer app can do, plus you aren’t being tracked and sold to by TeamViewer. This app does everything I could ever want a Remote Desktop app to do.
Needs a Ton of Work
Not ready for anything more than personal use. Don’t waste your time with this Chinese clone.
Almost Perfect!
I really like this app. The only reason I haven’t fully switched from TeamViewer is that when I remote into my PC, I can’t properly control my virtual machines. While clicking works fine, the keyboard either repeats keys or fails to register them. I hope this issue can be resolved in a future update.

Great app, but lacking crucial configuration options
I really want to like it more than RealVNC, but the mouse and keyboard control scheme is much more of a pain to use. My biggest gripe is that the mouse actions aren’t configurable, and three finger scroll rarely works. The arrow keys and other keys being at the top of the screen instead of being integrated with the device keyboard is also a little annoying. They don’t seem to register all of the time, either, and instead will trigger a left mouse click. With that said, the connection tends to be more responsive and overall faster to load than RealVNC. This would easily be a 5 star app if it was more configurable.

This is it, the best realvnc replacement ever. This app is the first thing I install on my devices so I can remote into them
Doesn’t work
App doesn’t work at all. I’m able to connect just fine when using my PC or another remote PC; however, I consistently get key mismatch error with the iPad app. I know the key is correct because it works from the PC.
Arrow keys only one time use
Arrow keys do not function like a desktop keyboard please change this, anydesk has it so why does the rustdesk

The mysterious double clicking
At first it was just the touch mouse option - which definitely limits the ability of usages - now it’s touch pad option as well… I click once, lightly, and instead it clicks twice. This is so unbelievably annoying and in many cases it becomes totally unusable for this reason. If not for that, I do like this app - it any issue deemed “unusable” gets no favors from me in a review…

Works well without delay, even on my bad WiFi, but has issues.
Works well, even on my bad WiFi/data, but it keeps asking for my password even if I’ve hit remember me, so it makes it impossible to actually connect remotely, as I have to know the stupid password.

Incredible and Open!
This app truly embodies the spirit of open source software. I just started getting into developing, and needed a way to remote into my Mac from iPad and iPhone. I launched a website from an airplane with this app. There is nothing remotely comparable - let alone for free! There was real intention and intelligence put into the design of this app. And to utilize free public relays for it is just awesome. I’ll be getting my own server configured when I get back home - or maybe I’ll do it remotely via RustDeck!
Unusuable
I don’t know what changed, but every time I connect now the session is closed after < 15 seconds. It’s completely unusable
Version 1.2.7 had problem on iPad
On iPad 1.2.2 version worked smoothly for me for the last 12 month. But I updated recently to Version 1.2.7 and RustDesk cannot even launch. Can you please fix it? Thanks

Use this if your sick of other RD programs
For years I’ve had miserable times with other apps, dealing with support and having them raise prices. I finally got sick of it and decided to find an open source alternative, and discovered this app. The self hosting ability is amazing and this whole setup worked well enough for my personal devices that I am in the process of pushing my company over to this software to ditch our current Remote Desktop provider. Cannot recommend this enough
