I have been very disappointed with the Asda Rewards app. Since January, I have been shopping every few days, spending hundreds of pounds and consistently scanning my barcode as instructed. Despite this, I have not seen any meaningful cash accumulation in my rewards pot. When I contacted customer service, I was advised that I need to complete additional “missions” within the app to earn rewards. This feels unreasonable, as it requires significant time and effort for very small returns—far less than the value of my regular spending. In my experience, the current structure of the Asda Rewards programme does not deliver the benefits it appears to promise, and it has fallen well short of my expectations.
Old milkshakes
Asda should bring back old milkshakes they use to have vanilla and chocolate they where big and good
Some Promotions Don’t Work any More
I have shopped with Asda for more than 30 years - at least 10 using home delivery. Apart from the odd weird substitute item and the online shopping not allowing me to order something if it is currently out of stock despite the delivery being at least a week away, I don’t have any major complaints. The rewards are not as generous as they have been in the past but I understand that. The main problem with this app is that the ‘shop online or in store and get a chance at a prize’ promotions just don’t seem to work for me. The last 3 promotions have failed to register my online purchases and I am getting very frustrated by this as I spend a lot of money and don’t understand why it doesn’t do what it says it will. I spent over £100 on a delivery on Sunday and there is no sign of a ‘Basket Bonanza’ entry. The details of the promotion are essentially generic and give no clue as to what the problem might be.
Mission Achievements not updating
Recently the missions aren’t updating correctly. For the latest Spend & Earn mission for example, completed a £130 online shop and a few days later spent £120 at Asda Opticians. Rewards card used each time but still not updated. Not sure if it’s the app not getting input or elsewhere in the system but not great! Tried “help” and removed app, turned phone off and on and reinstalled. No joy. Customer service refusing to answer email and told to ring but sent proof of purchase via email which I’ll get asked for anyway. 😩

Don’t bother, absolutely shocking app. Never works and then when you try and sort it or even open a new account it doesn’t let you. Pathetic!

Cash pot doesnt update
Cash pot doesnt update been scanning fir no reason. Clearly a lot of people have the same problem. Used to be a great app but now all it does is takes soace on my phone for no reason. True shame ——————- Update after response: Back in the day the cashpot was updating after each scan - similar to clubcard or nectar card. Wasnt much but better than what it is now. You can clearly see from all the negative responses the update was not your smartest move
App wont sign me in
Constantly having issues with logging in. App will just not work!
Used to be great, now it’s rubbish.
Started off a great app with regular, excellent rewards. Now the rewards are ridiculous and not easy to achieve, my cash pot hasn’t been added to in over a year and I’ve lost all the pennies in it, it is the worst supermarket loyalty scheme going! Seems to just be a way for Asda to easily gather data from shoppers with no reward for the shoppers for doing so. Really don’t bother, it’s a waste of space on your phone. In response to Asda’s reply: the app was good for the first few months, it had been appalling for the last 15 months at least, offering little/no actual reward. Even the ‘spin to win’ type games are rubbish, used to be things like 50p off a shop, now it’s 50p off when you spend a huge amount on yogurts or specialty bakery. I do most of my shopping at Tesco, their rewards are not as good as they used to be but are considerably better than Asda.

Absolute waste of time you don’t get any rewards! And when trying to put the app on my new phone it doesn’t work and keeps saying you already have an account but don’t let me make a new one or change anything NOTHING! Waste of time don’t bother!
Waste if time
Terrible app. At first it was brilliant but you do not get anything now. Spent over £1000 in asda over the past few months with no rewards. They give you a silly game to play where you win jack all. Waste of time.
Pointless waster of time
Well what can I say apart from waste of time as I’m spending like crazy and getting sweet nothing! Stop mugging people off with this nonsense and drop the entire thing as it’s not fit for purpose! It’s ridiculous! Who thought this up! Are they still on the payroll?

Asda stopped giving rewards not worth scanning anymore
You used to scan the card giving Asda information on the things you were buying how much you are spending ect and at one point it was pretty good . But the rewards have now stopped so I don’t bother giving any information to them
