What people like
- Very accurate when it works correctly
- Easy to use and clear layout
- Better than the main competitor app
What they complain about
- Schedule updates are often wrong or late
- Spams you with useless notifications constantly
- App freezes and needs a restart
Here we go again
Its 2025 and we are back again on this loadshedding 🤦🏽♂️
Schedule updates
We had load reduction for sometime but the app kept on saying there is no load shedding
Getting stuck
Good app, supplies up to the minute info, easy to use, sensible layout. Lately getting sticky, will not budge and requires shutdown and restart to restore to life.
It’s not accurate
It’s not good at all not accurate
Doesn’t honour notification preferences
Great app, better than the alternative IMO. Only 3 stars because it doesn’t honour my notification preferences and sends spam notifications every day.
Better that esp
Very accurate way better that esp
Loadshedding
Never updates
Vary good but….
This app is very useful because without it we wouldn’t know when loadshadding is. Sometimes it’s not accurate. But still very accurate I definitely recommend this app.
Loadshedding Schedule
It takes time to update new information and schedule
Shows load shedding & not load reduction
I literally downloaded the app a minute ago and I’ve already noticed it’s not showing me the load REDUCTION schedule! That’s the reason that I stopped using ESP- because ESP wasn’t working on my phone and I thought this app would help... Prove me wrong and kindly sort this problem out because now the schedule has abruptly changed without my knowledge and I want to know the EXACT schedule
We are back
We are back
Rubbish app!
Loadshedding schedules not updated at all! I upgraded the app and it’s still WRONG!!!! Delete! Get your act together
Current Stage updates
Hopefully the app updates have been sirted out. The stage 3 , then stage 2 advice, backwards and forwards when no changes has occurred is very irritating. Over 10 in 30 minutes. So I had to turn the notifications off. And now I miss real updates and have to check manually. Better than multiple false pings at night
No longer updates in the background
The app was working fine until a couple of weeks ago. It no longer updates in the background when the stages change, you have to open it to get an updated schedule. Everything else is fine.
Good one
It’s helpful during Loadshading
Bad app
This app is not accurate at all
It’s not always accurate but user friendly.
Whoever the admin is needs to make sure they have an updated schedule of loadshedding. Aside from that its a decent app.
Incorrect Information
App has been very reliable and helpful however lately it always shows “Not Load Shedding” when there actually is load shedding. It has been inaccurate.
Review
Top class, does what it should and is highly reliable
The app just shut down
I downloaded the app a few months ago and it works perfectly fine in the beginning and then it decides to just shut down and I have been deleting and then installing the app a lot of times thinking it’s my phone but it’s clearly not . It just decides to shut down it is very unreliable.
Inaccurate
I really wish you guys would get the times right all the time. That’s the purpose of downloading this app. If I get unexpected sheds but city power has it scheduled and you don’t then what’s the point of having this app.
Loadshedding
The app does not show loadshedding but it’s loadshedding now
My app is not working anymore 🙆🏾♀️been using it for ages but now 😏
Disappointed
Not as good as ESP
Used this app for around 2 weeks and not impressed. It continually shows that we're on stage 6 and has multiple load sheds scheduled for the day and more than half don't materialize. So, in my humble opinion, I do not recommend this app. It does have a lot of options for information, so I'm sure it's brilliant when it does work. Thanks
Excellent and Accurate
This app is excellent and accurate and I recommend it for anyone who want to know the load shedding times
Wrong times scheduled
Constantly gets the load shedding times wrong in Cape Town.
Has great potential
I downloaded a couple of apps to see which would be the best to use and in the end selected this one. Visually, it makes it very easy to see both Eskom and city load shedding status. The only issue I have found is the updating. To ensure the app updates, I have to reboot my phone… Please can you get this sorted? Then you’d get 5 stars!!!
Excellent
I can rely on this app for loadshedding scheduling.
Spam
This App spams you with hundreds of useless notifications everyday but when it's an hour before loadsheding you get nothing.
Service Rating
Best service
Late to update
I had to delete the app cause it has been almost 5 months this app not giving me correct schedules.
Mr MOTHAKATHI
Always on point! Never fails.
This app is useless
We have not had electricity since last night and you useless app is not even updated!! What’s the point of having this app if you can’t provide accurate information?!
