Umo advantage
The biggest advantage for me using Umo is the life tracking. I can watch basically the two buses that cover each route at any given time. That enables me to know exactly when the bus arrives so I don’t miss it and if it’s slightly late, I don’t become frustrated. I also can load money and buy daily or monthly passes and use my phone to scan the fair.. That can be difficult at times depending on how the scanner/machine on the bus is angled.. Too much sun can’t see the scan code in the monitor.

I love this app but it isn’t showing both the inbound and outbound stops for the route I use commonly. Not sure if it’s a common glitch or something I’m not doing correctly.

Good app with one little flaw
On my iPhone 15 Pro with a text size that is comfortable for me, the account balance box doesn’t expand to fit the view details and add more links, they just disappear. Hope this little bug gets fixed soon. I’m on the newest version that dropped very recently.
Can’t use it to pay for more than one person
I have the app and loaded the wallet with enough money for myself and my wife. We get on the bus and i scan the app. I go to scan it again and the bus driver says you can only use it for one person. I was surprised; what’s the point of not implementing such an obvious feature to be able to use it for your family members or friends? My wife didn’t have the app and we didn’t have another form of payment so the bus driver kindly let her ride for free - but the app developers would have sooner had her stay behind I guess. Paying for more than one passenger is an obvious feature which would make this app so much more useful for travellers who might only have a data plan on one phone for instance! Why isn’t it implemented?
Trouble registering
I am stuck on the “choose a country” screen and cannot move forward to sign up. It just has choose a country at the top and it’s a blank N.A. y blue screen for the rest. If you swipe down to refresh the page it shows “something went wrong” Please advise.

5 Stars and it looks like most agree with me. This app is reliable and adds convenience to my bus commute every day. It’s easy to use to pay my bus fare and I don’t have to pay extra to see when my bus is going to arrive like that other transit app. Are bus riders just lazy when it comes to reviews? Feels like I’m the only one taking the time.
It’s so bad
The screen keeps blacking out and also it won’t let me sign in I have been trying for a month now and it keeps saying “ an internal server error has occurred”

Add a pass option not loading
Every time I go to buy a bus pass it’s been getting worse and worse. It started with not loading for a few minutes but I figured it was an internet issue because I was trying to buy it outside of my house, but now a few weeks later it’s just a blank page that will not load even if I refresh it, it says “something went wrong” and then nothing else happens. or even if I redownload the app nothing works.

UPDATE Only use for passes as forced by transit. One area it is use twice and it’s an auto day pass. Well, I was on a trip with three buses. The first one charged, the second said transfer, the third one charged me and MY BALANCE BECAME NEGATIVE. That should be a transfer, they were all one trip and minutes between buses. Even if it was charged, it should have been an auto day pass, nope. This and many things shows UMO’s bugs, but UMO HAS NO SUPPORT for their bugs. I’ve lost money a few times for overcharging and they pass the buck to the useless transit agency. Not much of a company. Routing is simple and basic and not useful. Trying to look at routes and a schedule, nope. UPDATE. KEEPS LOGGING ME OUT. PHONE DOENET SAVE PASSWORD, so I can miss my bus because of this junk. Update. I’m forced to use this app for passes. Then it is so convoluted and unintuitive and janky. Buy a day pass? No, I have a balance right there. Nope. Add a card (already have one on there). Then I can. Then I scan it and it charges me a full fare even with a pass. Don’t trust the app, figure out details and maybe buy passes anywhere else. And phone the transit company to get full answers, the app won’t give you the real story. I’m at the bus stop. Apple had told me the bus is coming. Umo says I have to wait and hour, then the bus pulls up in front of me. Useless. Trying the Transit app, mixed reviews there I have heard. From missed buses, no listing of buses that just drove by me, or are right in front of me. Cost me a lot of money and time when the app wouldn’t show me the bus that was coming by in 15 minutes or 4 minutes, last bus of the day. Just very unreliable. You have money in your ‘wallet’ and the bus won’t take it when you scan. I show the driver and he has no clue and he let me on free. A Bus driver also asked me about the bus that didn’t show in the app and shook his head and said grab a paper map. This app is making many functional features. Today again, app didn’t show me a certain bus that was arriving in a few minutes and I was already there 5 minutes. You can’t look at the schedule and decide yourself as they think they know better. Daily frustration. Logs you out as you get on the bus and the driver is staring at you holding up the bus. This poor app affects all riders. You would think they would figure this out. I guess BC Transit was the Guinea Pig. Hey BC Transit, get a better app/service. So much frustration and money wasted, go get the paper map!!!

Needs a no wifi/data version
Im constantly not let onto my bus because umo randomly logs me out and I dont have data or wifi to log back in. I’ll log in at home and keep the tab open but it just logs me out anyway. Please make it accessible to people without data. Also the app won’t let me into my account at all anymore but I think that’s a temporary bug. Been about 48 hours of it saying an internal error occurred so hope thats fixed soon.

Terrible app and service
Absolutely not usable. They have now lost my wallet that I just reloaded. There is no way to contact anybody to find out it gets reinstated.

Inconveniences and missing features.
This app desperately needs a widget or a way to add your card to your apple wallet to make it easier to access your card without having to unlock your phone, find the app and navigate to the show card page. Also the app randomly signs you out and forces you to look up your access code and re sign up for the service. I appreciate what this app is trying to do but it’s just not doing it right and it’s not there yet. Having a physical card is more reliable and convenient than having a broken app.
Issues with the app
I’ve been purchasing the 30 day pass for over a year now and have rarely had any issues that I have not been able to fix in under an hour. Though recently it has been telling me that when I try to sign in it says that an internal server has occured. From what I understand it is a problem within the system but everyone else I’ve asked that also uses the app has not had this problem.

Worst trip planner
If your trip uses more than 1 bus snd the buses don’t conveniently meet up in a timely manner Umo will tell you to take the shorter ride and then walk the difficult long part instead of suggesting you take a shorter ride and walk to catch the bus which is going to take you most of the way Support is ridiculous! The people are kind and friendly however the tools the support staff are provided with is lacking
App never works right
I was using my schools bus pass code to use the app, however, when it expired, I wasn’t able to add any cash to my account, or submit my new semester code either, the app just keeps loading and loading on the buy screen. And I still need to get places, so I go and tap my code and have to deal with an awkward explanation and worry of not being able to ride the bus when I have money and a code, it just wont let me submit past a never ending loading wheel… I have searched online for a fix and nothing has worked…
Stop alerts
I make it to my destination and the stop alerts stay active for HOURS. I can’t stop them or anything ? Why ?

Ive been enjoying this app a lot cause im one who loses her bus passes often lol but not my phone. So this app has been a big help since I got it being able to use this to pay for my bus fare :)

Half of the time when I try to pay for the bus I’m met with a login screen. That’s a really stupid feature in my opinion. Because I have to fiddle around with the app just so that I can pay for my bus. Please fix the sign out issue 🙏

Times off and resets every time you leave the app.
I am updating my review as they like to lie on the app platform about all the bad reviews as it’s some type of monopoly with these companies.. anyways, the app likes to crash, all the time now.. I can look up a bus and then click out of the app to do something else only to have it refreshing EVERY TIME! My phone was updated so it’s not that, it’s useless for keeping track of your bus when the app refreshes so often and then it sends my landing zone for the map on the app downtown though all my favourited stops are nowhere near there… horrible app we are all now FORCED to use for public transport. ** It’s VERY annoying that this app resets nearly every time I set my stop and then check a different app. It often returns me to the home page and I have to go through finding my bus stop and selecting the route again.. also not that long ago this app have under a 2 star total rating and now it’s back at almost 5? That seems odd and off.. this app has had a number of issues. Also the times being off like on several occasions I’m walking to my stop and it says I have over 5/6 minutes and yet I watch the bus DRIVE BY. It’s not acceptable for a transit app to be this off with its times.
Interface design!
Asks me for my Country and Transit area every single time I open the app. I’m a parent and getting to “Linked Accounts” to load my kids’ accounts is NOT intuitive. And it automatically used my Snapchat username?
