School Step Challenge
We have been using this app for a staff step challenge, and it has been awesome. The set up for the challenge was easy and the developers have been very responsive to a few requests.
Paying to invade others privacy is kind of psychotic
I rarely get sketched out or have privacy concerns since there’s basically no such thing as privacy these days. However — the premium function allowing you to view anybody’s profile and see how may steps somebody took on a random day 4 years ago was enough for me and my friends to abandon this app. It’s also very strange and sketchy that when you download the app it automatically populates your first and last name and your location. Basically automatically doxing you. You should be able to opt out of people paying to see your information- no matter how insignificant it may seem. This app is blatantly selling it.
Almost there
Could you please add relative goals for challenges like apple fitness? That way you can compete with people who typically do more or less. For instance, I don’t want to do a steps challenge with someone if I know I’m going to beat them everyday. However, if my goal is 12k steps and there’s is 8k, and points are awarded for how close you get to that goal or beyond it, then you can compete with anyone. Please add this feature!

App does not work correctly for all challenges
Great job but crashes
App works well and better than other apps as it fetches data from health app automatically so no manual work. In latest version chat screen is unusable and crashes when trying to read chat.
On Track
I was so frustrated trying to get my steps recorded. Thank you for getting on my profile to see the error of my ways. No way I could have figured that out! You rock!!
Why is it not in google store
It gets one star because it’s not in google store
Great app
Overall a great app and fun
Glitch
I do weekly step challenges on this app and by the 2nd to last day the app starts to glitch. This happens every week without fail not showing correct data. It’s unfortunate because this app has the potential to be great if they fixed the bugs.
Cool but weird restrictions
So I really enjoy the idea behind this app. My friends and I have a competition going and it’s really fun. However there are some weird quirks with this app that I don’t get. To enter your weight, you also have to enter your body fat percentage. You cannot just enter the weight. I wouldn’t guess that most people just know their percentage. And if you don’t have a smart scale or calipers at home, nothing in the app explains to you how to calculate an estimate like using the navy method. I wish it would have told me. I just wasn’t putting in weight because I didn’t know my BF%. It screwed up my competition because I wasn’t recording any data or progress. Once I finally found the formula for the navy estimate and tried to put it in, it logged that I had gained a bunch of weight because the starting weight wasn’t accurate. I could not find anywhere to go back and edit the starting weight. I assume editing isn’t easy for competition integrity, but I feel like it’s a necessary feature to have. I put in the wrong numbers initially so I was firmly in last place in every competition. I had been manually entering my weight into my apple health data but that does not sync to the app apparently. When I went to the help button to check the FAQ or send in a message, none of the buttons under help actually work. I clicked them all multiple times and was never pushed to the site or got any further response from the app.
Amazing App + Outstanding Support
I’ve been using Strive for my step and activity challenges, and it has been awesome. The app is easy to use, and I love the different challenge types, I have a step, excercise and body fat % challenge going with my friends. What really stood out, though, was the incredible support. I ran into an issue with one of my challenges, and they responded quickly, and got everything resolved right away. I don’t do reviews very often (if at all) but wanted to thank the great support!
Support nonexistent
Tried to host a group contest for work. App only works if they have an iPhone. Tried manual entry of workouts and it doesn’t count it towards their goal. Waste of 50 dollars. Support email doesn’t respond.
can’t undo workouts added via health app
kinda lame you can’t remove workouts. I accidentally added a workout through the synced Health app. Now it’s messed up my group challenge completely. Sad- I was really excited about this app
Just subscribe
Just subscribe to the app at this stage seems good and what l am looking for
Great Customer Service
We love the app and being able to compete against friends and family for motivation to workout. When there was an issue with the competitions we created after emailing customer service they responded and corrected the issue within 48 hours. Incredible considering most applications you never even get a response back. Highly recommended this app.
Doesn’t work
I,along with my adult family, paid to use this app so we can compete against each other. It has been 3 weeks and after a lot of going back and forth with customer service, we just can’t get this to work. Our smart scales register our measurements and they sync with our heath app, but it does not sync with strive. All our data from our watches sync over, like steps, exercise, but we can’t get our weight to sync. We have to manually input the data. All permissions are toggled yes, Bluetooth is enabled. Out of 4 of us, we can’t get our weight to sync. My son is a computer engineer and he can’t figure it out. I do not recommend.
Amazing app for friendly competitions
Love the app and that it “strives” to keep a friendly and fair competition amongst friends/ colleagues who like to stay active. Appreciate the customer service too. It will be nice if more fitness trackers get compatible with this app. Looking forward to future updates.
Waste of time
Downloaded and was going to try it out, however after giving permission to my gallery I have decided to delete. The app wasted my time, i got a message to pay for premium before adding the profile picture, why the Illusion? If the app would have let me try it out before rudely wasting my time I might have enjoyed it enough to cancel my strava membership. On to the next app…I honestly wanted to try it out but felt insulted with the tactic. Now I get my junk mail from these guy’s relentlessly. Cannot unsubscribe.
Fun competition!
I had a lot of fun and was motivated to walk further than I would have otherwise!
Works poorly
Buggy does not match my fitness device or phone step count
Measuring goals
I really enjoy this app. It allows you set goals and see your progress in real time. You can join different challenges and engage with like minded individuals.
Waste of Money
I don’t have an Apple Watch and have asked how I can enter a workout and have gotten no help. Waste of money.
The loss of Fitbit group challenges brought me here
This has been the closest app I’ve found that is similar to the Fitbit group competitions. Apple only offers person to person competitions, no group ones, and Fitbit no longer does group challenges. Here we’re able to compete in our groups like we would way back when Fitbit still did group challenges and it’s the best way to stay motivated. 10/10 recommend if you’re looking for something similar.
Klunky
The software is very clunky for not update timely even with strong internet connection therefore competition os void. I do not recommend it as it just frustrates you.
Great!
Such a good way to find workouts and connect with others
Sync does not work correctly
My app does not sync and there is no way to manually sync
Strive
Strive is my favorite
Can not add steps manually
You can not add steps unless it reads from the app. I walk on my treadmill without out my phone and wanted to add my steps but did not seem to work.
