Not a 5-star because as of today, it’s only mobile only! I much prefer to participate on my computer (Mac). I hate typing on a tiny screen. Secondly changes are not well communicated nor issues addressed. Once upon a time there were more choices for challenges and for varying lengths of time and reasonable number of participants. But much of this has been commercialized through paid subscription!
Not worth the hassle
This used to be a great app, but it’s just another bait and switch. Fitbit got rid of challenges and Stridekick was there to say, Join us, we have private challenges and they’re free. So I downloaded the app, got my friends to join and we loved it. Then they decided to charge for those “free challenges” if you wanted to keep them just for you and your friends. There are hundreds of scammers there, infiltrating every challenge you try to have with your friends, which takes one of your friends’ spot. What’s the point of being able to have friends and challenges if you can’t have challenges with your friends?! Unless, of course, you’re willing to pay a pretty penny for their pro version, full of things someone just looking for a private challenge doesn’t need or want. This problem with scammers and challenges is continually met with either silence or empty words because in short order, Stridekick doesn’t care for users, only the money they can make off them. Take note: the developer responses here are just another example of their empty words. Don’t be fooled.

Used to be great
Features put behind a paywall with no communication. Not a good way of building customer base and trust. I would pay - but for a few friends, asking for £12.99 per month is way above expectations of what I would be prepared to pay. Clearly market research wasn’t done well or they spoke with people who had money to burn. Try £0.99 instead and you might get more takers from individuals.

Fix tech support
The engineer has been looking into why garmin won’t connect for months now supposedly. At least that’s the stupid error message that pops up everything single time I try over the last few months. When you click on support there’s an error message. Nothing but error messages. Steps do not match apple health or garmin watch steps. Inaccurate reporting.
Great app
Love this app, use it daily, I also love the challenges but I am disappointed that your challenges aren’t by invite only when only a few. This app became popular as many of us wanted the challenges Fitbit stopped when Goggle took over. That made this app, as did all the small groups. Now those challenges are open to anyone:(
Farewell
A small team at work have socially challenged each other for the most steps each month. It’s a casual challenge and the functionality and features of StrideKick were a good fit for us. Unfortunately the challenge lengths and members have been restricted to free accounts meaning it’s no longer viable. Google suggests $90/month for small teams which might work for actual clubs but not for a bit of social fun with colleagues at work.
Chatting can be made easier
I am getting adjusted to the app. I was accustomed to the fit bit app which was more ch easier to chat within the group challenge without going through so many steps.

We are partnering with StrideKick for a monthly wellness challenge to boost employee engagement. The team at SK have been fabulous to work with. They have answered all of my questions along with provided resources to share with our company. The app itself is very user friendly and intuitive. I really appreciate the customization abilities of the challenges we can host. I highly recommend this for both personal and business use.

loved this app until they changed it to let all challenges be public and allow random people to join your challenges. and the only way to prevent this is to pay them. SO DUMB
Friends only the
I would like it better if only those that we invite could join our 10 person challenge. Most of the people that I challenge are seniors. We cannot afford a monthly subscription.

Absolutely loved this app , until we had strangers in our group . No warning , people just appeared. Should have given us notice . Now they charge for a private group .

A year ago, we did not have to pay for challenges, also we didn’t have outsiders that were not in our friends list. Enter into our games. Wish that it would go back the way it was before the change in 2026 and if you do need to charge to change it to only bigger challenges, not seven days..

MAKE PRIVATE CHALLENGES
I wanted a fitness challenge app to use with my friends since we don’t all use an Apple Watch. We can’t even start our first challenge because it caps you at 10 and a whole bunch of randoms join and skew your data. It sucks all the fun out. Maybe I would be willing to pay but I can’t even trial it! It’s getting DELETED. Just greed.
Good!
I mostly use the app to track my steps, so for this purpose the interface is quite easy to navigate and I don’t have any issues with the app not refreshing. It would be good to see more interactive features.
Inconsistent
App misses out whole weeks of activity with no way to add steps back in. No contact from customer service either. There are better apps.
Allot of scams
Watch who you add as friends allot of scams do not give out personal info. The actual function of the app is about the same as fit bit..

Spam!
I wish SK would let challenges be set up so no one is allowed to join unless they have been INVITED!!! We have spammers or bots joining private challenges. They take up a spot that someone else could be taking. I have over 30 friend requests and they don’t have any syncing whatsoever. SK fix these issues or I’m leaving your platform. I’ve reported over 100 accounts and they never get reviewed by your developers or customer care team, it’s like you don’t care. FIX THESE ISSUES NOW!!!

Bring Back Free Private Challenges
Please bring back to free private challenges. We shouldn't have to pay to create private challenges. May of us have fixed incomes and don't want strangers in our challenges.
Great App
This is great app for managing challenges and tracking activity, I think it lacks a few admin tools and is a little buggy. But overall good tool and better than a lot of other competitor offerings.
Was good, now poor
Suddenly it has gone from free to $25/month to create a small private challenge with friends and family. Now you can only create a public challenge which gets filled with scammers before your family see it, also exposes your previously private images and photos to everyone. If the original format had been kept with a small monthly or annual fee and properly announced I could have understood it, but I think Stridekick are effectively kicking off personal users and now just going for the corporate market.
Changes Suck
The changes reducing the free option for 7 days from 30 days is terrible. I don’t believe in paying for something that should be free. Health is more important than money and to reduce the length for free challenges makes me want to look for another app.

I’m grateful for the ability to collaborate with coworkers while competing, all while accomplishing the same goals. To stay healthy. This helps keep me motivated with reminders on my standing.

App challenge
The app is easy to use and syncs well with my phone and watch. However the experience isn’t the same with other devices . Members of my group were faced with the challenge of their phone syncing with the app. I hope the team can work on this to allow app accommodate more devices.
Where is everyone?????
New to this app, I’m a Fitbit user looking for challenges. if you use the +friends button nearly everyone I click in has no recent activity and hasn’t synced their tracker for a year or more…. Spent 40 minutes scrolling through but only found 2 people to send friend request to. App developer needs to filter & allow members to see other active members or else it’s just not worth it.
Fun app but room for improvement
Fun app for tracking steps and doing challenges. However the app doesn’t sync well with other fitness trackers and can’t log different exercises.
My activity pal
I was a longtime user of Fitbit but they decided to close out many challenges and became a lot less enjoyable so I switched to STRIDEKICK instead and I was impressed. The app is easy to use and does everything that I need, thanks Stridekick
Greed
I see you still haven’t changed how randos can join anyone’s challenges and you haven’t addressed how they’re bots or creepy people we don’t want in our spaces. All you do is apologize in reviews but never do anything to fix it. I get trying to make money but not improving on a clear issue that is making users uncomfortable is just greed.
Not bad
I downloaded Stridekick as a substitute for Fitbit challenges when they were taken away. It’s not as good as Fitbit was but it’s not bad. One thing I would like to see in this app is the option to invite all your friends to a challenge and not just 9 people and then it’s whoever accepts first gets a place like it was in Fitbit as you never know who will accept and can often end up doing a challenge on your own or with just a couple of people. There is one thing that doesn’t work for Fitbit users too and that’s the badges, you get some but not all. I have tried doing various challenges for specific badges and even though I’ve completed the challenges, I don’t have the badges.
Notification
So annoying you get a notification yet when you open the app it doesn’t tell you where on the app the notification actually is!!! You have to click on each part on the bottom bar 🙄
Needs Improvement
I used to enjoy using Stridekick. First started using it as an alternative to the FitBit app. As others have said, they have changed the app a lot and seem to be trying to force users into a monthly plan. The monthly plan is priced too high and I pay a monthly FitBit fee just to compete in Bingo challenges. With Stridekick, the current free tier does not give me confidence that the “Pro” tier would be money well spent. Yes, spam users and cheaters are a big problem! The free challenges that they offer continue to decline. One of their recent New Years challenges had the year 2022 in the image! I am starting to look for a new app. Stridekick had a lot of potential, but I think they let a huge opportunity slip through their hands. Most of my old Fitbit friends are no longer using this app.
