What people like
- Developers reverted the annoying new solitaire layout
- Games look beautiful and play smoothly
- Good variety of classic card games included
What they complain about
- Cards are too small for older eyes
- Ads often get stuck and won't close
- Cheaters quit games without losing any points
- Bot hands feel rigged and unrealistic
“New look”
The layout for solitaire was bass-ackwards and very awkward. I understand that more engineers are left-handed. This “downdate” has been fixed.
Terrible gin rummy
This is a bad implementation of gin. The rules are unlike any gin I’ve played and turn a profoundly skillful game into a luck fest. I’m also increasingly suspicious that the card distribution is illegitimate. No brainers are rare in real life gin rummy. No brainers are constantly occurring in this game.
Shuffler is inconsistent
Good game but the hands dealt are frequently basically unshuffled especially in gin rummy, with winning hands only requiring one or two cards, for or against.
Logging me out every day
Im getting bumped out constantly and the new sideways screen there with weird keyboard makes it so hard to log in again. It doesn’t save my username/password and my iPhone doesn’t prompt me to save it. I understandddd.
Classic favorites
Love playing spades, rummy and hearts, with other people. My issue is having to log in again anytime there is an update or change. It won’t allow autofill for your user name. Why do you make the players log in over and over?
Format
I am so excited to see you went back to old format I can play better now - I didn't think you would change it back for left handed people so glad you did
Ads don’t work and other things
There are dozens of opportunities to earn extra currency by watching an ad. Very typical of ads so not by itself a big deal. The problem is that if you watch an ad you will not get credit for it as the ad will take over the app with no way out of it unless you completely close the game. The game also logs you out frequently which seems to defeat the point of having a login to begin with. A lot of small frustrations on what could be a very pleasant experience and great way to get people into their physical card packs. But just comes off as lazy.
Quitting games and points
Can you fix the point system when players back out. I play almost a full game and people back out because they’re going lose and nobody in game gets points and player that backed out doesn’t receive any negative points. Big issue on this as it happens all the time and I back out 1 time and get -20 plus points big issues on this matter
Could be a lot better
The biggest problem I see with this app besides cheaters is the ads that are offered to watch. Some of them go on for minutes some of them have no way of getting out of them when they should’ve been over with. You need to do better with that.No one should have to sit and watch an ad for two minutes and then have to close the game because there’s no way to get the ad to end.
Could improve
Even with my tiny delicate hands, it's way too easy to fat-finger plays. Bad UI
Updated back to classic layout
At 47, I am officially old. When this app updated to an unfamiliar layout for a game I’ve played since the 1900’s, my brain melted down. But the developers listened to feedback and gave us the option to use the classic layout. This is one of a couple of games I enjoy playing. Thank you!
Cheaters ruin it
Used to love playing multiplayer card games here, but the cheaters just make it unbearable. People team up by starting private games together and then going public or using guest accounts. What’s the point? Bicycle needs to try and fix these issues or at least give players the option to report. It isn’t even fun anymore.
Username/Password issue
Why do I frequently have to manually enter my username? It’s aggravating.
Glitches ruin the fun
The game selection is nice. The aesthetics are nice. The glitches, not nice. The playing algorithm for solitaire won't let you forfeit and start a new game if your only move left is moving a king to a blank space. There are other glitches that I've reported that haven't been fixed.
Loses my account
Loses my account info and then I can’t sign in. Frustrating! Also allows guests to quit game. If guests quit they should be penalized
Solitaire New Look?
Loved playing this solitaire game until the new solitaire version came out. Now based on user feedback they have reverted to the original layout and all is well! Thanks!
You will play against a computer that stacks deck against you if you win.
I don’t recommend you play. I have played for over 3 years. And the computer will start only giving you losing hands if you win too much. Terrible algorithm. Play for fun and don’t expect a fair game.
Fun Gameplay
Needs more games. What’s there is smooth and well done. However, the old Hoyle Card games had a ton of games including classics like Pinochle. Please add more games like Pinochle
Solitaire
I don’t like the new solitaire view
New Look
Love the game, but not the new look. The size of the cards are smaller.
New Solitaire Layout
Not a fan of the new solitaire layout. I play on an iPad mini and the layout is just too small for me to see. I prefer the old layout. Still love the app overall and it’s free so beggars can’t be choosers.
Fix the glitch!!!
Caligurl CHEATS and doesn’t lose points for being a quitter!
Pretty good but don’t create an account
I like the card games and since I am old school (grew up with Intellivision), I prefer to play bots vs real people. My main gripe is how often I get logged out of the game. I even made an account so I can easily track my wins but on the iphone there isn't even a way to save my login credentials. So I just play without logging in ☹️
Layout
Cards are now to small for old eyes. Give option to revert to old layout.
Don’t like your upgrade
We have been playing this game with much enjoyment. Until you upgraded it to the current version. Numbers are too small for my old eyes. Plus for some reason. We aren’t winning as often. It’s not as much fun as it was.
Shame on you USPCC
Has good potential, but since the start in 2021 Spades and Hearts are loaded with cheaters that have super powers enabled by the game developers. They quit any game they are losing without penalty, and you actually get their penalty points in Spades. Nice. This has been going on for 5 years. Incompetent marketing department.
New update is horrible
Why? Why? Why? The new layout for solitaire is horrible. The cramped screen is now unplayable Update…Bicycle has gone back to old version. Thanks!
New Solitaire Awful
I used to love playing solitaire every day. It was a relaxing way to wind down the day. But the new solitaire is not an improvement. It’s too hard to see the cards that it’s giving me a headache from squinting. And the placement of them makes no sense. It seems more like an enhancement for enhancements sake and not to improve the user experience. Sadly I can’t enjoy it anymore. Will have to find an alternative solitaire app to enjoy.
latest update
New Solitaire layout is nice. However, on my iPad the cards are now too small. With no way to change the size, it's frustrating, and I won't be able to play. Please fix this in an update soon.
Another data scalper
Can’t use without sharing your email to get more junk. Uninstalled
Not enough players
I love this app and the variety of games available, but I’m surprised how often there are not enough players to fill the public games. I’ve never seen this on other apps. My only other complaint is that some of the premium cards are really hard to see because of the low contrast of the design.
No benefits for Top 50 players
It is totally a disadvantage being a Top 50 player because when you play against a low ranked player and win the points earned are LOW but if you lose the points taken are HIGH almost doubled…weird and unfair!
Live mode
The app is great, but it’s annoying when people quit when they have a bad hand they should be penalized like 5% of their points and they should go to the people that didn’t quit. Also playing partners shouldn’t be punished just the quitter.
Gin is broken
I have never won a game of gin at all. Not even against bots. They constantly knock before I even get a turn. Stupid and broken
Pretty good
Pretty good game but there randomizer leaves a lot to be desired bots are well above average on drawing way better cards.
Same cards
The game is not realistic. When I play against a bot in any of the games the cards are so ridiculous. In gin all you get is face cards or 10s when you draw. I’ll be up by 70 points and then lose. When the cards are dealt for solitaire the deal is always multiples. Like there will be 3- 3s or 4-7s showing. I play with real decks and I may get 2 of something showing but I have to play multiple times. I’m really glad I didn’t pay for this app. It’s almost comical how bad the hands are that are dealt .
Leaving games
Thank you for finally penalizing people for leaving the game if they are losing. And crediting people who stay. I now see someone purposely stalling so people will leave so they get points. There will always be cheaters, but the fixes are well appreciate I am frustrated by not giving a lot of points to people who win with higher ratings when the others rating is low, but only a couple higher than other players. .Same goes for the huge loss of points when you lose and have the highest rating. That’s why people quit or cheat. I do not.
The update sucks
I updated the app expecting good things. What I got was a solitaire game that is terrible. The cards are too small and difficult to read. The layout is ugly. I vastly prefer the old layout with large cards and an elegant layout. Solitaire is about the only game I play. Please scrap this update and return to the old style.
Great Game but a lot of cheaters
Game looks and plays beautifully, but In hearts and spades multiple users are using 2 accounts to cheat. I know that’s hard to police but it has taken the fun out of the games for me. Now I have to keep a list of the accounts that are working together and leave the lobby if I see them. That list has grown to the point where it takes me 20 min to get into a legitimate game now. Please put in some sort of reporting mechanism to help the community identify these accounts. I know that sore losers may report innocent accounts on purpose but perhaps make it a progressive thing where if you are reported by multiple different users then you are penalized or something. Just tired of being cheated! Also, sore losers have found a way to hold the game hostage by repeatedly opening and closing the menu as their turn timer expires so it doesn’t auto play for them. They do this until someone else gives up and forfeits. Just need to fix these little annoyances. It’s sad people like this exist in the world…..
Hearts Shoot the Moon Bots
The probability of collecting all 13 hearts and the Queen of Spades is approximately 1 in 525 hands (about 0.19%). The bots are able to accomplish this every other game or so….starting to be suspicious and a real bummer for casual play.
Enjoyable
I have really enjoyed this app … I have had a few times when app has frozen which has caused me some points in my rating when leaving the game but otherwise good program …wish we had a few more comment options since responses aren’t live but appreciate they stay on the positive side! Really enjoy the new options in card designs too except the dark ones are hard to read …thanks
Hate the solitaire update!
The cards are dramatically smaller on my iPad and all attempts to adjust size in my settings failed.
