Relaxing
Great to play, and it helps pass time!
Advert problems
Why doesn’t Microsoft ensure that adverts in the game execute properly? Just had to delete app and re-download because advert wouldn’t close after dozens of attempts. Just tried to access the game, it has a totally useless age checking system that failed to check a photo of me…twice, and a mobile phone checker that also failed twice, so I can’t play mahjong. Have deleted app and won’t use it again.. oh, and I’m 70 years old.
Daily RELAXATION
By Determined Diamond Mary If I am too busy to complete my five tasks each day, I try to catch up to achieve my Logical Skills the following day. It keeps me sharp and concentrated……..Thank you Micro soft staff teamwork. .
Syncing game
Why does this game not sync with my computer and iPad. Signing in to Xbox but still although signed in on both iPad and computer will not sync.
Love & Hate
I used to love this game but not any more. I understand the ads have to be there but why do the recently added ones have to cover some of the tiles too? It spoils the play. Plus, I went to play it today and the only set of tiles that I used has now been locked, so I will be deleting it as I don’t like any of the others.
Game
On my third time through as when you get near 100 it locks and I had to reload, great simple game
Mahjong by Microsoft
Microsoft does not bother
Game not saving daily challenges
Since update this week the game no longer saves my progress in daily challenges if I leave game and come back. Enjoyed game until this started happening
Lags and freezes
Since the most recent update the app has gone from running smoothly without any issue to lagging and freezing. Every few puzzles I’ve had to restart the app, reinstalling hasn’t helped. The banner ads do not load properly and ads themselves often freeze and require a restart so I’m sure he advert client is to blame. Please fix because it’s become nearly unplayable overnight.
Game is good, ads are bad
The actual game is good, well designed and easy enough to navigate. The ads are terrible and don’t seem to be being checked before allowing them to run on the app, some you get stuck into for up to a minute, some have you have to try and exit multiple times waiting for timers to end, and some just never end, you need to kill the app before being able to play. There should be more QA on what ads are being run and ones that stop the game from functioning are really bad to let through.
Mahjong
I love it! I’m only 7 and I completed 20 puzzles
Ads
Nice game destroyed by constant invasive ads.
We need…
…new puzzle packs. Please. A lot of them.
New on phone
Why not new mahjong on home computer?? Pay premium but same 4 tiles and themes!! Can something be done. Did great job on the new mahjong app, let’s do same for people who have things with small pictures on phone and iPads. Thank you
Adverts aaarrrggh
A good game, which works well in landscape mode until an advert plays. It then changes to portrait mode and stays like that until the app is shutdown and restarted.
Mahjong
Love these games. They are so peaceful but challenging. Sometimes I do get the designs mixed up but that’s ok it keeps your brain In gear. Keep you entertained for a long time. Love the different game designs and the colours. Well done You .
Good game bad UI
The User Interface is not presenting correct filters. If I sort most difficult games at the top, then I can’t access the shown games. Some other game opens. The game play doesn’t show game number either. I don’t know if I am playing right game or not. What a pathetic UI. The game is good though.
Great Game!
Not too many ads, I haven’t come across any, personally. Very entertaining and good with focusing. There is no tutorial to play, so if you’re a beginner it could be a little confusing, and it’s hard to know when you’re out of moves as it varies. Overall, a great game. 4 stars!
Not that bad
It’s not bad, however it keeps crashing when playing on iPad. It’s simple to understand and kinda fun but crashing ruins the vibes when on the role lol
Great Game
Get graffics & an enjoyable game. Frustrating that some games need 10+ attempts to solve them.
Love This Game
I love this game so much and I love how you can sign in and level up and stuff
Great game but no Game Pass connection…?
A really enjoyable game that deserves 5 stars, if the premium subscription was included in Game Pass (just like the iOS solitaire app). A strange choice indeed.
Très variés
Digne de Microsoft
Something missing
This app is flawed it neglected to show past achievements, but it makes you start over again. It still a good game, and I am disappointed show your real achievements. By the what happen to the score for daily challenge for they nowhere to be seen. I feel lost with this game because important data is hidden from the game. It would be nice to see the score result while doing the daily challenge instead of being left in the dark. The game itself is great but missing data turns me off.
Not very challenging
I reinstalled this game when I had Covid to help me pass the time. The new version is not a patch on the old one in that there are very few hard or expert challenges. The backgrounds that are earned cannot be applied to the daily challenge boards. The levels achieved are for all the games as a whole and not for the individual games, as in Microsoft’s Solitaire game. I am far from an expert player but there has not been one challenge yet that I have failed to win - the most tries needed has been 3. I stupidly paid for a whole year instead of just a month, but I won’t be renewing.
Amazing
Played this a lot on Windows 7. Thanks for bringing it back
Daily challenge download error
Get your crap sorted, this happens far too often whereby you try to do daily challenges but get server error, or download error or the most annoying connection error when there’s absolutely nothing wrong with the connection. Everything else in the game works as does the rest of the internet oriented stuff on my device. This is an error you need to fix not me! Crap programming/programmers = crap game play = users going elsewhere to something more stable that works all the time.
Good but sometimes difficult
This game is amazing and earns you Xbox reward points but sometimes you run out of moves when they don’t show how many moves you get. Would recommend but please show us our moves
Game is very buggy and ads are relentless.
I like playing the game overall, but every time i reopen the app it asking me to redownload the “new puzzle pack”! At 104mb it shouldn’t be downloading then forgetting it each time i close down the app. The second issue is i have no music! Sound effects yes, but no music audio whatsoever. Tried redownloading but issues mentioned remain. Microsoft please fix. Lastly the constant ads are a bit much. Especially for a game you can play freely on the PC!
Loved this game but ….
I have loved this game since I bought it a couple of years ago. However, since yesterday I can’t play any Daily Challenges. I’ve tried everything suggested on the support page and still nothing. How am I supposed to get it fixed if I can’t contact anyone? So frustrating and I will be cancelling my subscription.
Great mahjong app
Really enjoying this app, just begun but it’s fun and engaging
Not happy
On my iPhone all works well until I enter Challenges - then I’m told I have no internet connection. That’s rubbish. Come on Microsoft, get your act together
Puzzle pack
When are you going to add Puzzle Pack 10. I finished puzzle pack 9 ages ago.
Adverts
What is an enjoyable version of Mahjong is made pretty much unplayable by the frequent problem that occurs when the game goes from the level screen to an advert, back to the level screen and back into an advert. There are times when you can’t play a round just because the game will continuously just flip between the level screen and an advert. Such a shame that a good game is ruined for profit.
Relaxing brain use
I really enjoy the daily challenges but disappointed to find the sets you can download are all just the same puzzle. Finding golden tiles or lightening tiles against the clock is much more fun.
Great time sync
Been playing for ages. Just got a download error on mobile for the daily games. I play other Microsoft casual games (sudoku) with no issue and my phone is connected to the internet. Can’t find an faq for this issue on mobile… Still worth a 5 imo.
Crashes too often mid game
Love the game but come on Microsoft. Sort out the crashing. Now deleted.
Nice game
Great game, loving it so far. Glad to have this on the go rather then having to sit at my PC 👍🏼
Possibly the buggiest software from MS
What can I say about this game? The number of crashes is ridiculous, plus the frequency that it just locks into a cycle of showing you adverts instead of launching the actual board. Avoid like it’s caught COVID
ads error
I love this game and the challenges but please fix whatever problem is with the ads. i get an ad that has an x button at the top when i press it i go back to the main menu and when i click on the puzzle again this happens again so i can never enter the puzzle unless i restart the game which is very frustrating. I'd really appreciate your help.
Found again.
Have’nt played this game for years. It was always a good way to relax after a long day. Very glad to pick it up again!
Incompatible with Norton mobile VPN
Don’t bother with this game if you have Norton mobile VPN - the game is great but Norton VPN slows the connection so much that you can’t connect to your Xbox account
Good game
I really enjoy playing this game but would like to see more golden tiles and lightning as they are great to play would have been 5 stars if you did more of them.
Issue
The game itself is great but you play for so long then the app closes especially mid game and it’s frustrating as hell when you want to earn the Xbox achievements
Crashing
It’s a good game but just keeps crashing and not many options to choose from.
Beautiful design
Very good game with lovely tiles.
Adverts sound
A polished product let down by Microsoft allowing adverts that do not respect that you have your hone set to silent. Even worse those that take you to the App Store after the ad has finished. On principle I will never download apps from advertisers that do not respect my preferences!
Loving it
Used to play it before but this version seem so much better, really enjoying it.
Constant crashes
This app used to be great but recently it has done nothing but crash. At times on mobile data it won’t even let me play online but I found a fix for that. Put your phone onto airplane mode and off again and it will allow you to play online. However, this morning I cannot even get a daily challenge started without the app shutting down which is highly frustrating…
Love the game, play it daily but it’s started crashing.
I play the game daily and enjoy the daily challenges but since yesterday the app crashes when trying to open up one of the daily challenge games. There doesn’t appear to be a way around it which is a shame. I hope this is something that is fixed. When it is I’ll give it 5 stars.
