Best circadian app!
I absolutely love this app! It has completely changed my awareness of light and optimizing my time outdoors for the best benefits. I love the reminders and how they adjust to the correct time when I travel. Plus, it’s easy to use and they have excellent customer service whenever I’ve had a question. Highly recommend this one!!
Very inaccurate
Currently the app shows the sunrise at 06:11 in Brighton , UK , however all other apps indicate the sunrise at 06:32. And many other inconsistencies.
Sunrise & Sunset Times Off by 25 Minutes
The app is great overall, but the times for sunrise and sunset aren’t changing each day and are off now at my location by 26 and 24 minutes, respectively. That is a significant difference, and it needs to be fixed.
Circadian Is NOT the APP It Used To Be…
After using Circadian for several years I can say my satisfaction has dropped completely. It used to work, now it fails on every use. Having to reset the choices after EVERY TIME it is setup! And the “alarms” fail the same way, EVERY TIME! All the “updates” have destroyed a perfectly good working app. I no longer recommend Circadian for use or purchase.

this app would be amazing if I didn’t have to constantly change the location back and forth to where I live so the times are correct, it doesn’t update on its own otherwise and keeps telling me the wrong times which is honestly frustrating

Times not accurate
I don’t look at Circadian every day, but today I noticed it has the wrong times for sunrise and sunset. Example: app says sunset is 7:24, while real sunset time is 7:50. I double checked the city it is set at and the date and time of day and those are all accurate. What happened??? If it doesn’t know the correct sunrise and sunset times, how can any of the other times be accurate?

Doesn’t update times automatically anymore…
I used to love this app but not really sure what the point is to have an app (that I pay a subscription fee for) to notify me at different times of the day… when I have to go in every day to turn off location services and turn them back on for it to update to the correct times. I may as well just google the info every day. This hasn’t worked properly for a very long time. Contacted the developers early this year and they told me a fix would be in place sometime in March. It is now August and still doesn’t work. I have done every app update. I have deleted the app and reinstalled it. Multiple times. Not renewing my subscription. What a waste of money this year.
UI/UX
I love everything about this app… EXCEPT FOR ONE THING. I shouldn’t have to open the app for it to reset to updated solar times. Your development team has created an amazing app, the interaction, colors, graphics, and education are exactly what I’d expect. So please fix this one issue; I know I can’t be the only PAYING subscriber with the same complaint. 3 stars until it’s resolved.
Love this app!
Great customer service! I have sent getting notifications when I first got the app so wrote an email. Got a very speedy response with the exact info to change my settings so I would. Being able to have reminders to get out at sunrise, get more light and to optimize sunlight and re establish a healthier circadian rhythm is changing my health and mood. Very much appreciate all the information available as well. Thanks! Highly recommended.
Sunrise / Sunset times inaccurate
The sunrise and sunset times have been stuck on the same time for about two weeks. I’ve had this app for over a year and this happens constantly. Please fix it already…
Be sure to open daily
This app would easily get 5+ stars if I didn’t have to open it daily in order to make sure that the notifications/alerts the following day were accurate for things like sunrise, UVA rise, sunset, etc. If I don’t open it daily, the notifications are stuck at the times relevant to the last time I opened the app. I’ve already reached out to the developers by email, but received no help with this.
Times aren’t correct
I rely on this app but recently the times have been way off. I’m getting alerts for things like sunrise and sunset - but not at the actual times of those. Maybe it’s a bug or glitch??

Such a helpful, easy to use app. As someone trying to be mindful of my circadian rhythm who tries to get natural light exposure at the best times of day, I just love it. All the lighting info for any given day that I need in one place, even laid out in a helpful visual format. Seriously thank you for this app!! 🙌🏼
Constantly crashes
I just downloaded this app about 30 minutes ago, loved it so much that I considered purchasing a lifetime subscription, but then the app started crashing and force closing over and over again. I barely got to try it out, and it won’t stop crashing. I will not be purchasing.

Accuracy Declining
I used to love this app but now the times are off for sunrise which makes me think I can’t trust any of the other times and makes the whole app useless. Not sure if this is a bug or if the app no longer has support. Would love to see a fix.
Like the Idea, But…
I added four custom reminders in the sleep category and now the app crashes every time I try to edit this category. I have the newest iphone, this shouldn’t happen.
Live by the sun cycle
This app is so helpful - not just for tracking the light/dark cycles and sunset/sunrise—but it also explains WHY it’s important to live by our circadian rhythms in simple terms. This app offers notifications that are super customisable—and a beautiful + intuitive visualisation of the precise rhythm of your day, exactly tailored for where you live. It’s also excellent for those who want to catch as many “golden hour” sunrises/sunsets as possible. The yearly subscription is (actually!) quite reasonable, and it’s such a reliable + useful app, I’ve renewed for 4 years in a row.

I love this Circadian app. It’s easy to use, helps me stay on track with healing light exposure and has an affordable lifetime plan. Customer service has been excellent anytime I’ve had a small issue or question. Highly recommend.
Unable to use - location bug
Couldn’t get the app to start, so no experience of functionality. Major bug when determining location meant that whilst my location was found, the onboarding experience of the app could not progress. Please fix

Much potential, bugs, stupid bear
Good? Great app concept for a "one-of-a-kind" time calculating tool for user's individual location, along with cited reading material for learning about how and why of the app's purpose. I fully support the efforts of the people behind this project & bought the lifetime "subscription". ....Bad? The alarms aren't useful and the notifications / alarms have bugs (or poor design) so there's questionable usage in-app and no integration with external calendars. .....Terrible? There's a cartoon bear that gives a passive aggressive condescending face and stance at you if you turn off the unhelpful notifications/alarms.

Not Accurate
If you are Looking for an accurate app to tell you when the sunrise is, this isn’t it. Unless you open the app after midnight, it stays on the day before with regards to sunrise time. In fact, if you don’t look at the app for a few days, it will stay on the day you last looked at it. Many of the useful features are only on the paid app, which is quite expensive for what it does.

It gives the error ‘ This location does not have any daytime and cannot be selected. Pls choose another location’. Regardless of whether I use location detection, or type in a location. I’ve tried several locations in the UK.

Un engaño.
Sólo indica un único ritmo circadiano. Si tu propio ritmo no coincide con el que marca la app -que sería una extraña casualidad-, ésta se vuelve bastante inútil. En mi caso, el ritmo que marca es prácticamente opuesto en todo a mi ritmo personal. Trae una sección de información que es interesante, until y razonablemente completa.
Doesn’t account for individual body clock
The app is based on following the sunlight cycle. I like how neatly it calculates everything and sets reminders for you. Potentially super useful BUT, and this is a deal-breaker for me, it takes no account of individual’s body clock giving the same recommendations to ALL people. Suggesting to wake up half an hour before sunrise might work perfectly for a lion chronotype, but is the worst recommendation imaginable for a wolf chronotype like myself, even with enough sleep I stay sleepy all morning if I wake up then. Equally, it doesn’t account for individual’s peak times making a generalised suggestion for all. Not good enough. —- Thanks for the informative reply from the developers. I will have to look into more data for this and perhaps experiment some more with my personal sleeping time. From my current understanding, there’s enough evidence to support the idea that chronotype is determined genetically, but I can see how external factors could play a large role in that too. In my case, I have been reducing most of blue light exposure after sunset even before being introduced to the app, which has had a great effect on my sleep, but I still feel much more energetic throughout the day when I fall asleep later and wake up after sunset, hence the trouble with app’s wake up suggestions. But I’ll give it another shot. Really enjoying the reminders about the breaks btw!
My day…
In my estimation, 5 stars is not enough praise for this app. This app keeps me in tune with the solar day even when I am confined inside. My day is measured by my circadian rhythm. I am reminded to step outside for various levels and action of sunlight which improves my well being for sure. I appreciate it daily.
Subscription? For this?
It’s a useful app. But it’s not worth a subscription. Don’t know why anyone would subscribe to it. Just use the phones built in settings to set reminders! It’s free!
Good app
I’d love the app in Spanish, so I can recommend it to friends/family. I’d also would like to program events for different days as sports activities in the exercise area and also add diferente reminders, kind of a calendar, for the rest im very happy with the app🙏🏻😻⚡️

Terrible app
As soon as you’ve finished the set up you receive a pop up to pay for the full version although it doesn’t say anything about in app purchases on the download page. Everything crashes on this app. The screen freezes and has to be shut down and restarted over and over. I as really looking forward to this app but it was a massive let down from the start. I deleted it after several failed attempts to change different settings on the app. Great idea, terrible execution.
Location and it’s local time is miss matched
App is showing wrong time for my location. This, making day’s schedule is senseless. Otherwise this is useful app.
Not designed for smaller screens
Hard to use on my iPhone 7 because so many items are hidden under others and it always seems to be the item you need to see.
Irritating
Only 7 day free trial of full app, not actually free. Can’t adjust the time to British Summer Time, so the one alarm that is notified is at the wrong time. I’m sad as it was good.
